"My family and I went last night for my birthday. We got there around 7:25pm. I had called earlier in the day and the young lady stated last seating was at 730pm. From the moment we got there I got the vibe that the host/waiter was a bit overwhelmed. We decided to still go with it and dine in.He was not very welcoming and rushed us to order. We tried to lighten the mood by making jokes with him. I think he was just over working at this point.There was a pregnant young lady who had a welcoming smile. We did speak to her and she was pleasant.Another young man bought out our food and he was also friendly.The food I felt could have been better. I got the fried red snapper and it looked better then it tasted.My family was also not to happy with there dishes.I had very high hopes for this place."

"The food and drinks are very good, but the priorities aren't set right. I was the only one in there and it took forever. I don't mind waiting at all, but the guy at the register was super sweet and did his best. Since the other girl was redecorating she told him to make the drinks, which he didn't know how. Instead of putting down her things and helping him out for 2 minutes she shouted directions across the place, him not fully understanding and needing her for the espresso shots anyways...so seriously, instead of making him uncomfortable and me, because I saw he didn't follow the directions, why not taking 2 minutes to properly train him. What is more important than consistent taste in drinks? A new decoration? No. Service: Take out Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3"

"I had the avocado toast, and it was outstanding and one-of-a-kind. I accompanied it with Puerto Rican hot chocolate, which came with a small cube of cheese to melt into the drink. The warm cheese absorbed some of the chocolate's flavor, and once I finished, I savored the delightful cheese cube as a little treat. This experience has truly inspired me to find ways to include chocolate in savory dishes!"

"This review is for the pop up Guevara's inside of Mekelburg's market by Domino Park at 319a Kent Ave, Brooklyn. We've eaten here once after they first opened and twice as take away, I think each time has gotten a little bit better for me as I figure out what I like there. The first time I went they made my vegan chilaquiles with a chicken egg because they didn't seem to have the vegan kitchen up and running yet and were cooking out of the Meckleburg kitchen. But since then I've had the B.E.C. which I liked but don't love the king trumpet bacon because it's hard to chew; the Bagel Lox which was yummy with the vegan cream cheese but didn't love the red pepper lox, and then tried the chilaquiles a second time and this time it was very good but next time will say hold the onions because there's a ton of onion in their version. They were sold out of empanadas the last time we went which was disappointing but will definitely go back to give those a try! Staff person working the Guevara stand was very nice and made a really nice vegan latte. They had a band outside playing lively Latin music which was fun."
