"Very enjoyable, a nice choice among the many restaurants at the Spectrum. Service was very accommodating and friendly, recommended the truffle oil they usually put on the pizza be on the side if we had any reluctance to add that (we did). Good wine list, all the food very good. Outdoor dining always a plus."

"in the last few years we have eaten on Tuesday at 12.00 clock at michael 's. what can a person say about a restaurant that is consistently excellent? the personal, eating, the ambiente, 100% ass. whoever runs the restaurant really knows what they do. every thing at this restaurant is impressive from the well-trained and very competent wait staff to the hostesses to the cooking staff, the simple thing is that eating in this restaurant is the best in the opposite. we often eat, even at some of the higher priced restaurants further north in baltimore county, and I can tell them without hesitating that the preparation and quality of michael 's is better than any other restaurant in north county. we have become regular because of the concrete on quality. I think I have to sound like a michael 's cafe booster, but if a place is as consistently excellent as this place, they want to know somehow other and the excitement just comes out."

"I had the pleasure to eat in choptank recently with my date and I give him a 5-star review. the grouping and spicy chicken sandwich were cooked both delicious and perfection. the sharkbait drink was so unique and full of taste. To finish our meal, the cookie-ficked dessert was heavenly. choptank surpassed the expectations and is a place I would recommend for seafood lovers."

"I have been here quite a few times and have enjoyed myself each time. all but once, i was seated in the room toward the kitchen. it is usually pretty crowded when i visit (usually weekend brunch) but it has never been this loud in the area i was seated in. i could barely have a convo with my friend because we couldn’t hear each other speak nor was i interested in yelling to the person sitting next to me. i attributed the extra loud noise on the acoustics of the room we were in and it wasn’t a terrible inconvenience. i’m just glad i wasn’t on an actual date lol i think i may request to be seated outside of that room next time if it’s as loud as it was this last time. otherwise, the service and the food was good as usual!"

"Hi Nick, thanks so much for everything! The food was excellent we had a trio of Chicago Burgers and a couple beers. Exactly what we needed! The management was extremely flexible with our needs and I think could see how tired, stressed out and hungry we were and let us sit in an area already closed, with only 1/2 hour left till the kitchen closed completely. You went above and beyond for us, and we’re really thankful for the accommodating and kind service. Shout out to Mia for her service, as well."

"Food: the portions were great, but the below average quality leaves you wondering how they can charge so much. The fish appears frozen and unthawed prior to frying. It consisted of four, square, nuggets of fish, a handful of fries for $17.99. The cup of chili screams mid bland, plain (no cheese, onions, hot sauce... nothing), $5.45 cup, room temperature. The black and bleu burger was really good, but chips are served with it and cannot be substituted. The nachos were six decent sized chips, cheese, tomatoes, and jalapenos with chili, sour cream, and salsa on the side. These were fairly good, but extremely anemic for a $14.99 appetizer. The cole slaw tasted more like fish than the actual fish. It was inedible. I believe the spotlight was on the turkey club that was actually very good, and portioned and priced fairly. Service: Umm... what service? We waited while the people that came in after us were served before we were even approached all after being seated. The silverware was dirty, and a menu had blood on it. The server was very friendly after she got to us. Atmosphere: this seems good, but when three people are having an $87 lunch that was worth $50, tops, it's very hard to enjoy the place you are sitting. The prices are on the menu, and I'm not upset about the money. I'm upset that I'm paying Texas Roadhouse prices for Taco Bell quality food. After tip, this was over $30 per person. This was one of my wife's favorite childhood restaurants, and she's complained since sitting down. I do not believe that we will return for a VERY long time. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3"

"This was a rough experience, and hard to explain. We were brought in and immediately sat for our reservation. It took about 15 minutes or so before we even got a someone who came to our table. Finally, a woman came to our table and took our order, and then did not see her for quite sometime. This is a small plates restaurant, so we ordered a number of appetizers and small plates as well as drinks. We started receiving food before we ever received a drink, which is kind of weird. We got both appetizers followed by our small plates, and still no drinks. None of which were delivered by our waitress, which isn’t necessary abnormal, but still we were getting food and not checked in on. Finally, we got our drinks and we finished our apps and small plates. When it was time for our final plates, mine was brought out during our appetizers and sat there for a while. My wife’s entree was not brought out until much later. The food was actually pretty good, and very nice presentation, but service was bad. Our waitress said they were understaffed and over booked. And this does make sense as most restaurants with a liquor license will push drinks as it is a huge revenue stream for them. And by our service, I would agree with her, but service was really bad. I also don’t want to say our server was bad, just inexperienced and again she seemed like she was doing more than just waitressing. Unfortunately, for the price and that service, I wouldn’t recommend. It’s sad, because it has potential. Also, they did not acknowledge my reservation in the system to open table."

"I would not recommend going to Fiola Mare during COVID or after. The first thing I was informed of is the time limit at the table of 1 hr 30 min, which I thought was completely tasteless. I was celebrating a birthday and brought a cake with me to share at the table. I was informed that I could not cut or eat my cake at the table because things from the outside are not allowed. I thought that policy was ludicrous because literally people bring jackets, purses, etc in the restaurant, which are technically from the outside. Nevertheless, we pressed on. Our waitress was fine, she did her job gracefully and was very funny. We all ordered the lobster ravioli, which was $55. The dish tasted great but I think we were all shocked when we received 2 ravioli and 2 pieces of lobster. It was so tiny that it was more like an hor d'oeurve than a dish. It is criminal to me that Fiola Mare thinks it is appropriate to charge that amount for 2 lobster ravioli and 2 small pieces of lobster. I have no problem paying that amount for quality food but that dish was severely overpriced. At that point I did not wish to press on and order anything else. With the time limit on the dinner, I think we were all ready to go at that point. We all left HUNGRY and underwhelmed. It completely put a damper on my birthday celebration. For that, I will not return and would caution any one else to do the same."

"(2020 kc) restaurant week review} the webster house was our first lunch break for kcrw! everything was wonderful as always. first cure: {cream of mushroom soup walnuts chive oil} very rich and earthy if they like mushrooms, they will enjoy it. {fried brussels sprouts pecorino romano, crater, senf aioli} loved the combo of brussel with mustard...we ate the whole plate! Second cure: {manzo e polenta braised rindmeat, mushroom, squash, tomaten, herbed polnta, grana padano, arugula}e my favorite entre! the meat was so tasteful, polnta perfectly cooked, and they know how to cook mushrooms! {coq au vin red wine brat free row chicken dog behind quarters, speck lardons, haricot vert, picked kartoffels, beurre rouge} still a very good escape! my man shaved over the taste of the chicken skin and the flesh was so tender that it fell directly from the bones. original review (juli 2019 webster house is a phenomenal restaurant that doesn't seem to know many people! the location is beautiful and is technically a restored school (not a house! with a rich history and magnificent view of the city. eating is something of the best I've ever tried. their menu often changes seasonal, but the quality is always consistent and on point. service has always been exceptional. it's a great date night place!"

"We were there today 3/8/17 for lunch. 3 people for a business lunch among friends. The location is easy to get to if you are in stamford already. It is walking distance from many of the office buildings in town and across the street from the mall. The staff are always friendly and quick on the service. The restaurant is open and gets a lot of light at lunch reflecting off the building across the street. We all agreed to a tapas lunch which means sharing everything. It worked out nicely as each tapa had 3 or 4 pieces. We were all very pleased with the dishes and each had its own flavor so you didn 't get overwhelmed by one spice or sauce as you tried different items. One of our diners is not into seafood which is why we only tried one of those dishes. Fresh bread it was fresh and perfect with the EVOO but make sure to get more to eat with the tapas. Arancini 4 cheese with rice croquet. This was a nice item filled with cheese flavor and a well done crunchy exterior. Just enough rice so you know it is there but not so much that makes it a rice ball. Cheese is the main here 3 balls. Potato croquet actually was the favorite of 2 of our 3 at lunch. Looked very similar to the Arancini but completely different on the inside. 3 balls of fluffy light potato mash. Grilled octopus my favorite, grilled to perfection with just the right amount of char. Fresh with great seafood flavor not at all fishy. 5 small chunks Meatballs a hearty red sauce over 4 small meatballs that were well made and nicely flavored. Hanger steak 4 pieces of thinly sliced hanger steak with melted cheese on top. These were good but not my favorite compared to the rest. Lamb sliders there were 3 of these and we would have eaten 6. It is a faux bun made of grilled polenta and shredded lamb in a flavorful sauce. These were so good! After all that we split a plate of the tagliatelle bolognese. The sauce was similar to the meatballs which is to say very nice. The pasta was fresh tasting and perfectly al Dente. If you know your guests and no one is a double dipper I highly recommend trying this out. I only wish it had been after work so we could have had a nice bottle of wine. Next time!"

"Tonight marks my final visit to this restaurant. My last three experiences have been disappointing when it comes to the food quality. This evening, I ordered the fried walleye, which I often enjoy at various places in the Illinois Valley area. The menu described it as fried walleye, yet it arrived with the skin on and was filled with bones. When I inquired about this, I was told that was the standard preparation, and they offered to comp me a few dollars off the $21 meal for something I didn't eat at all. I think it would be helpful if they either accurately labeled their menu items or informed customers about the dish while they are ordering. On my previous visit, I had issues as well—I ordered an 8 oz ribeye steak cooked medium, but it came out well done. When I questioned that, I was again told that was just how it is. In addition to being overcooked, the steak was completely flavorless. I won't be recommending this place to any of my friends, and I'm sorry to share my experiences."

"The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, although at times the quality and presentation of the sushi rolls can be inconsistent. We are regular customers, but I must admit that the service is terrible when seated in a booth with family. The staff does not handle the booths well. I recommend sitting at the teppan tables, sushi bar, or regular bar to receive better service. Despite this, we continue to dine at Riptide for sushi and Japanese cuisine in our neighborhood because the food is just that good."

"Nice atmosphere. High quality food. Definitely make a reservation. This was a special date night dinner for us and we were not disappointed! We had the toasted ravioli for an appetizer. Highly recommend! Dinner included bread service. Portion sizes were very nice. O has the marinated chicken breast and the whipped potatoes. The potatoes where very garlicky, which I loved. Hubby had the prime rib cooked perfectly. He also had the ‘famous’ twice baked potato, but was underwhelmed. We were so full that we needed to take dessert home. The amaretto cheesecake, Apple streusel, and chocolate cake were all delicious. Some things to work on: I felt as though the waiter had way too many tables. He never stopped running, even though he had help with service, and the section wasn’t full. The tables are pretty tight (back room) so the waiter/server barely had space to move. Water service was attentive, I did need to ask for a beverage refill after I sat without one for quite a while."

"Service was efficient and very friendly. My complaints were: Scallops were sent back frozen in the middle. They brought new ones that weren’t frozen but were just warm. They did comp that entree! Beer cards on the table (labeled holiday beers) were inaccurate. Most Olof the specialty beers we ordered weren’t available, and several of the kegs blew, preventing us from getting those beers too. Our waitress really knew nothing about the beers or what they had. One guest ordered a Breckinridge pale ale, and she brought him a vanilla dark lager. When he asked, she said “Yesh. That doesn’t look like a pale ale. Maybe were out of that and just poured what is now in our Breckinridge tap. I’m not sure,”. We enjoyed our night, but there was definitely room for improvement!"

"it's been a long time since we were in maryland, but that was one of our favorites when we lived in the opposite. it wasn't disappointed. the trout is always more profitable. If I were hypercritical, I would probably suggest that they improve their coffee. after dinner has been our ding and can make a meal or break. because they so much attention to the details of their menu, service and decoration, why not the coffee? After I said all this, I will return and it is up to one of my absolute favorites in the opposite."

"great service and delicious food. we had the avenue to start the otopus and the cortex. all were amazing. possibly the best tare I ever had was super fresh and with the perfect meaty / solemn balance. I had the laughs as my head and it was perfectly medium-sized rare. the taste was a hamm more than sea / mineral, but it was very pleasant. my friend ordered the duck cake, which was really unique in a sauce with granat apple seeds and possibly flavoured with orange bark. very surprising and delicious! the only part was the decoration and the environment that had a raised diner cleaning. So I had my doubts about our dinner first. but I was more than pleasantly surprised! So, yes incredible meal, I think they just need to rethink their interiors."

"I came here weeks ago and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere (I had scallops and mushroom appitizer-yum). Decided then wanted to bring my mom for her birthday. She is from England and turned 99 yesterday. My brothers, sister and son and his girlfriend Hailey all went there and it was wonderful. She ate like a champ and Chef even came over and talked to her. It's a little difficult because of her hearing and issues but was so sweet of him. All the food was delish! fish chips, scallops, steamers omg, they were the best and colamari too. Will definitely be my go to place from now on.Mikki"
