"We (party of 5) essentially had the place to ourselves on a Thursday evening so we felt super safe dining indoors. The place was recommended by my friend who used to dine at Big Suchir 's original location (inside a grocery store). They have your standard menu items as far as Indian restaurants go but there 's a secret menu item that this place is known for (must try). The Bajra na rotla (pearl millet roti) is served with jaggery, ghee, garlic chutney and a plethora other sides in a metal tray. Here are the other accompaniments (described from my POV): Baingan Bharta mashed eggplant with onions, peppers, tomatoes, spices, etc. Tomato Dal tomato base soup with crunchy noodles Kadhi milk based soup made of chickpea flour, curd and jaggery Khichedi spicy lentils and rice Chaas yogurt drink (lassi) The flavors, all very distinct, work well together. It 's also very filling! Expect that it will take some time (30 min) to get your food as these items are made fresh. There aren 't too many places that do this meal well from what I understand so it 's worth the trip if you 're adventurous."

"I don?t even know where to start with this restaurant. My family and I visit Indian restaurants anytime and anywhere we travel. When in Vegas we usually dine at Tamba, however, that was temporarily closed so we tried Mint after reviewing some ratings online?. but damn were we fooled. The first issue- staff was RUDE! In particular there was a lady with tattoos on her arm that claimed to be the ?manager?. She was extremely disrespectful to my family when we asked her about the delay in our order. She was loud, used an ugly tone, and carried an attitude- we were all shocked. We waited 20-30 minutes for our entrees. When I called they told me they could accommodate our party of 20 people but that clearly wasn?t the case. Next, their AC was not working. The room temp was 85 and we asked multiple times if the AC was broken as we had a pregnant member with us who was very uncomfortable. Outside temp- 105 Third, a long thick piece of hair in our goat curry. It was disgusting. You can refer to the picture. We waited 20-30 mins for dinner just to find hair in it. The actual manager who was a nice understanding guy took our order back and didn?t charge us for the goat curry. Lastly, when dining they brought out jugs of water which I believe is free (as in any other restaurant) and as we were walking out, that same lady with the tattoo tried charging us first $1 and then $3 when my family members asked her for a cup of water. My family told her on the way out she cannot be disrespectful towards her customers and her response ?you are not welcome in our restaurant again?. Jokes on her- we will never return and hope others find this review helpful and don?t visit for such a negative experience. Brutal!! We wanted to leave after our appetizers but felt bad as we had already placed orders. Do not visit here."

"I?m writing this as a common review for both the Iselin and East Windsor Khasiyat locations, as everything is excellent and standard when it comes to the quality/taste of the food and the customer service. Haven of Parathas that?s how I?d like tocall this place. They have numbered their variety of parathas from 1 100 that you can literally play a game of closing youreyes, pointing your finger randomly over a point on the menu card and order that number of paratha. We usually order couple ofparathas and a chaat item whenever we visit a Khasiyat. Hands down, they have the best parathas in town. How could someoneconsistently make the best parathas when they have a large array of choices to pick from?! They are business smart andenvironment friendly when it comes to the plates and cups they use. They don?t give your dishes in porcelain or plastic but theyuse hard paper/wood material that?s easy for them to dispose. But the downside is the size of those plates or cups. You have avery small circumference to work through your hands on the dishes and it?s not an ideal experience when you eat. I?m not sure ifthis will reach the business for them to consider and improve but this is the reason I rate this place a star lesser."

"it was Sunday and a long line to wait. first they have to order the food, then find a table, then they tell them their order number. I asked for the talli without milk, but that was not; an option. Instead, I had to order separate Vegi dishes and it made it pricy. the place was loud, kids run and scream, costumes that look into their plate to see how fast they eat so they can have their space. I'd ignore all this if it was good to eat. it was not so delicious that tasted all gobi, because the cauliflower is not so fresh. everything floated in oil, and it wasn't so much to eat. it is self-service and there is a man who cleanse the tables after leaving. I'm not coming back! there are other good Indian restaurants right next door."

"My friends and I visited this restaurant on a Saturday after a hike near Lake Tahoe. They were offering a buffet at the time. When I inquired about vegan options, a staff member kindly walked me through each dish that was vegan and even consulted with the chef for some he was unsure about. I was really impressed by his attention to detail! The majority of the dishes were delicious, with the samosas standing out as a highlight. The crust was perfectly flaky, not too hard, and the fillings were incredibly flavorful. Since it was a buffet, I ended up having about 5 samosas. The only downside was the roasted okra, which seemed to be overdone. Towards the end of our meal, the chef came out personally to speak with us and gather our feedback on the food. It turns out she runs the restaurant with her husband, who also works as a waiter. We had a fantastic conversation, and I made sure to mention the issue with the okra. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would love to visit again next time we're in the Tahoe area."

"The food is fresh, and the naan is wonderfully toasted right from the tandoor. Instead of bringing out everything at once, they continuously replenish the dishes, which is nice. The service is very good, with friendly and accommodating staff that feel like a cohesive family. I tried the tea for the first time, and adding half a sugar packet made it a delightful and fragrant beverage. The menu is somewhat limited, with around 24 main dishes and about 10 refrigerated options. There aren't many vegetarian choices, but as a meat lover, I didn't mind! The space is spacious and not claustrophobic. The current Indian music sets a pleasant atmosphere without being too loud. I noticed many Indian customers dining in and taking food to go, which speaks to the restaurant's popularity."

"I have not been here in quite some time so brought my mom for an early dinner/ late afternoon snack. We ordered Dahi puri, Mirch pakora, malai makhan paneer w/ naan. Dahi puri was decent, could have used tad more of sweet chutney. Mirch pakora decent as well. I like that was cut in half and also had some ajwain and seasoning, I would personally like a little more. This is the way my mom makes it, although I realize there are many regional variations. The jalapeños were quite thick however, so while breading /batter was crispy the chili felt a bit raw to the bite. Paneer malai this was downright disappointing. Gravy tasted sweet and sour, almost like it had some vinegar in it. It reminded me of Campbell condensed soup from the can. The bell peppers and onions were a bit crunchy to the bite and my mom felt it could have been chopped smaller to cook through more or cooked a bit longer. Looking around at other tables other dishes seemed to have similar orange gravy /sauce. I think we spent close to $35 on our meal, which is not breaking the bank but since food was not enjoyable felt like a disappointment and a little pricy for hole in the wall ambiance. If I return will not order entrees and stick to snacks and sweets."

"They gave me wet and soggy papads. Then they brought food but did not bring or give me any dinner plate. Had to ask the waiter for plate. He ignored. Asked few times finally got a plate. By this time my food is already cold. Ordered vindaloo which was just tomoto sauce cooked with chilli sauce with overcooked chicken thigh meat- (paid for chicken breast)Then the roti they brought was not even cooked and had thick uncooked dough so sent back. Ordered garlic naan. Surprisingly it was good. Ordered another one. The waiter didnt order so had to ask another waiter after 10 mins to bring my naan. Still no naan in next 10 mins. Asked 3rd waiter finally he ordered it and brought after 5 mins. Pathetic experience overall. Please never go to this place."

"We were thrilled to try this place, but in the end it was nothing but disappointment. We went on Thursday afternoon and ordered a cheese Dosa Lassi for the children. A Chinese sizzler for adults. When we got the dosa, they had filled it with chilis that we discovered when my 17 months old and 5 years old it began to eat. The Dosa battery was also mad, which means he was old. We took the dosa back, they made a new cheese dosa, but again, old dough. The worst was the mango Lassi, who stained all the mouths, my children's clothing. They added YELLOW FOOD COLORING. Who does that? It was also a ridiculous amount of food coloring. our hands, teeth, tongue, everything was stained. My 17 months old threw everything (lassi and dosa) an hour later and my 5 years old complained about a stomachache. It was so bad. The Sizzler was okay.. not bad nothing special. If you want a place that uses a week old dough and a tooooon of food coloring in their food, this is the place. Honestly, if I read that they food coloring in their lassi or food, I would never let my children eat there. If they put it in their Lassi, there is no doubt that they add it to other things. Try another place."

"We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with spring onion pancakes (delicious) and ending with chicken and broccoli (again delicious), the lunch menu (rice, main course and soup) was very cheap and delicious. The environment is wonderful - brick walls and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommended!!"

"Came here today after my work out at planet fitness. It was to my knowledge that they were closed and only doing catering. I stopped by today to see if they would serve me and the owner told me that are back and OPEN for dining. I ordered Idli to start. My meal was the chicken tiki masala (spicy) with garlic naan. I was impressed with the quality of the food. Chicken curry was perfect and the garlic nann was super fresh a good. I’m happy they are back and open to the public. I will be stopping by weekly after my workout to continue trying items on their updated menu. Very friendly ownership and staff."
