"I have not been here in quite some time so brought my mom for an early dinner/ late afternoon snack. We ordered Dahi puri, Mirch pakora, malai makhan paneer w/ naan. Dahi puri was decent, could have used tad more of sweet chutney. Mirch pakora decent as well. I like that was cut in half and also had some ajwain and seasoning, I would personally like a little more. This is the way my mom makes it, although I realize there are many regional variations. The jalapeños were quite thick however, so while breading /batter was crispy the chili felt a bit raw to the bite. Paneer malai this was downright disappointing. Gravy tasted sweet and sour, almost like it had some vinegar in it. It reminded me of Campbell condensed soup from the can. The bell peppers and onions were a bit crunchy to the bite and my mom felt it could have been chopped smaller to cook through more or cooked a bit longer. Looking around at other tables other dishes seemed to have similar orange gravy /sauce. I think we spent close to $35 on our meal, which is not breaking the bank but since food was not enjoyable felt like a disappointment and a little pricy for hole in the wall ambiance. If I return will not order entrees and stick to snacks and sweets."

Awesome sizzlers with either a pasta or a noodle base! Be aware though that the pasta sizzler does have honey in it, so if you cannot eat that, be sure to order it “Jain” style.

We pre-ordered dhokla to ensure it was freshly prepared, but we were disappointed to receive three-day-old dhokla instead. It was embarrassing to serve this dish to our guests. We do not recommend this restaurant to others.

This restaurant is a fantastic option for those looking to enjoy delicious Indian vegetarian cuisine. They also offer Jain food options upon request, which does not include onions or potatoes. The prices are reasonable and they have a variety of excellent snacks and desserts available as well. View menu

This restaurant is one of the best places in the bay area for Indian desserts and appetizers such as aloo bonda and dhokla. The service is quick and they also offer dine-in options. They have a variety of Indian desserts, breads, and other dishes available. Conveniently located near India Bazar and Swaraj food truck, it is a must-try!

Good collection of sweets and snacks, all vegetarian. Their milk cake (sweet) is amazing! If you are looking to grab some fresh snacks then evenings or noon are the best times. When we visited at 10:30am the ones that they would deep fry in oil (like samosas) were freshly made that morning but others (like dhokla) were prepared last evening.

We visited Mailand for the first time since Covid-19 happened. They have still maintained their sanitary protocols, which is good to see. However, the portion sizes have decreased. Most dishes are only enough for one person. But, their snack items are still as awesome as ever! The Mathris and Jilebis are delicious. The Shish Kebab was similar to a soft tikka. The Paneer was also good. View menu

They have this dish called sizzler which is sautéed vegetables and noodles or pasta served on a sizzling wooden plate. The dish is based on the sizzler variety originally sold in Bombay and Calcutta (and it’s still sold there). The half portion size was pretty large. Everything is coated in an orange spicy sweet sauce. Comes with paneer or veg kebabs or some other types of proteins. The place is fully vegetarian. More of a winter dish than summer. The jaljeera was fine had a lot of chaat masala. They were serving complimentary watermelon juice.

The Indian food at this restaurant is not the best, but it is decent. One thing I liked about this place is that they have a nice variety of food, including an Indian sizzler that I have not seen anywhere else. While it didn't taste like the sizzlers I've had in India, it was still fairly tasty. It's worth giving a try, as everyone has different taste preferences. However, the Gujarati khandvi we ordered was not up to par; I have had better khandvi at other restaurants in Fremont. The ambience is not great, but it's not meant to be a fancy restaurant. It's more of a quick grab-and-go or eat-quickly-and-go kind of environment. Overall, I can't complain much as it's a no-frills restaurant. I w...

"I always go to this store as we live closeby. I always love to bring my kids in this store, and have them order their food. Yesterday, I went with my 3 yr old son (his bday) coz he wants a cake pop. I let him call the barista so she knows we're ready to order. My son said excuse me like 5 times, said hello like 3 times to get her attention coz she's talking with her coworker. She finally came up to us, my son ordered cakepops, I ordered 2 java chips and 1 mocha frappe. The baristas before were soooo nice, very friendly, welcoming but yesterday was the opposite. Btw, always sip a bit of your drinks before you leave the store coz yesterday I guess the barista who made the mocha frappe forgot to put in sugar syrup. I just found it today as my husband didn't drink his mocha frappe yesterday. Coz what if you just stopped by to get some drinks and you already left then found out something is wrong with your order. And also, they do not offer Java Chip anymore, so you gotta pay additional for the chips. The barista didn't even inform me about it, found out today when I checked the receipt online. I called in to let them know about my concerns, they offered to remake the mocha frappe. The barista who made our drinks was the one who took our order. Maybe she had a bad day. But then, I just wish the baristas will be more friendly and welcoming and inform the customer if a menu is no longer available so we have the option to change our order. "First time to Koi Palace in Milpitas, though had dined at their location in Daly City decades ago. Very disappointing.. It's on a Monday around noon, and the place was pretty filled up. The service was lousy, starting from the receptionist who practically saw us but totally ignored us, even after my husband kindly waving his hand to him in order to catch his attention. After seated, though some servers had been going back forth by our table but none would look up, stop and talked to us. Of course we had to wait for a while before being served, minimally. The 18% mandatory tip charge to the customers was totally undeserved due to the lack of acceptable, good service to their customers. We have been to a few similar restaurants (in terms of foods class) in the Peninsula area where mandatory 18% tip charge are imposed but they do provide very good service consistently to their customers. We primarily came to eat at this restaurant for their well-known dim sum and its variety. Foods served were disappointing, unfortunately, considering their high-priced tags. Siu Mai 燒賣 were not fresh; skins were tough and the meat hard to chew. Shrimp dumblings or Ha Gow 蝦餃 were okay. Tofu rolls 鮮竹卷 were acceptable. The Budda's Delight vegetarian noodles 羅漢齋麵 was made up of a large portion of noodles but only few vegetable ingredients, not worth the $24. Adding to the noise level of the place due to crowded tables (very close to each other) when it's busy, it's definitely not a pleasant dining experience at all.. Do not plan to return.."
