"Service is amazing and their food is great! I heard about this place through a friend and decided to give it a go since I needed a katsu fix and it’s hard finding a place in Brooklyn that makes good katsu. To my surprise it was actually pretty good. There was a decent amount of meat (not too thin like other restaurants) and layer of breading. Although I found it to be quite dry alone, they provide sauce for you to dip in. The sauce tasted like ketchup? I’m not a huge fan of the sauce and I would prefer if they offered other options with their katsu like curry but it satisfied me till my next trip ??"

"A fine gentleman at Anima Mundi recommended this restaurant and I'm so glad that he did. The sushi rolls were excellent as was the crispy tempura. I was impressed with the quality of the iced green tea. (tea nerd here). I was happy that they had brown rice. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. The atmosphere is nothing special(nice but not essential) but we had a window table so I was quite happy. Despite the fact that I live in Manhattan I can't wait to go back.Vegetarian options: I'm always happy when a japanese restaurant offers brown rice. The vegetables were fresh and tasty.Parking: we found a parking spot 1/3 of a block from the restaurant. meter didn't take credit cards so we fed it quarters."

"If you're in the area and love sushi and salmon, you absolutely have to check out this place! My husband and I usually order the butterfly roll, which is a must-try, along with the California roll. This time, though, we wanted to mix things up a bit, so I asked the woman taking my order for a recommendation, and she suggested the Nagoya sandwiches. They were incredible! They come with rice, avocado, salmon, smoked salmon, and I'm not quite sure what else, but it was all absolutely delicious!"

"I stooped by here on a Wednesday night as this place used to be very popular years ago. Upon entering you get a fishy smell which I already did not like. I know this place serves sushi but the odor of fish is not really a good sign.We sat down and someone came to take my order after 5 min which was pretty decent. I got the chicken katsu with their soup, the fried dumpling appetizer and a combo fried rice. the food took some time to come out but it wasn't such a long time. upon receiving it I was disappointed with the taste of the food. the fried dumplings were the best out of everything ordered and the food was edible but the taste felt different than what I am used to at other locations. the chicken katsu was missing flavor in the crust/batter so it tasted a bit bland to me. the combo fried rice had an odd taste that I only enjoyed the shrimp on it and not the pork or chicken mixed into it."

Some customers might complain about their service and staff attitude, though i can say that the staff here are super nice people, however, because of their culture or tone of talking could be different from what we expect, so we think they are not as respectful, but thats not true. They are very very nice, kind and rushing to help you as fast as they can! Moving and servicing all tables making sure everyone is satisfied ! I Was there with my wife and two kids and stayed 2 hours. We kept on ordering meal after meal because we loved it !!!! Try the lobster tail sushi !!!"

"This restaurant is a delightful gem with amazing food! The ambiance is charming, with candles on the tables that create a cozy and inviting atmosphere—perfect for a romantic date night. However, if you're sensitive to low lighting, this might not be the best choice for you. The seating is limited, which allows for a nice flow, and you can easily have a private conversation. The service was excellent; the staff was attentive and well-informed about the menu. The food was truly outstanding! The portion sizes felt just right for the price, and the quality was exceptional. My husband and I shared Udon and three regular sushi rolls, and each bite was fantastic. The quality of the tuna and salmon used in our sushi was top-notch. After such a wonderful dining experience, we will definitely be coming back in the future!"

"Nagoya is one of the remaining truly iconic Sushi/Asian fusion Brooklyn's restaurants. It's been around for many years and still going strong. They offer not only vast variety of delicious freshly made nigiri maki sushi, sashimi, but also spectacular salads, scrumptious appetizers and lots of dishes ranging from traditional Japanese cuisine to Thai. On a weekday they offer amazing Lunch Specials from both sushi hot dishes sections of the menu, which is very convenient, affordable and includes choice of either a Miso soup or vegetable salad plus either 2, 3 rolls or a hot dish. They also have few exclusive items like my favorite Nagoya sandwich-amazing combination of smoked salmon (lox), spicy salmon, kani, avocado, crunchy, tobiko (flying fish caviar) and Nagoya Pizza both of which are spectacular and I would definitely recommend to try it, especially the Sandwich. Service is always great, staff is very welcoming, courteous and friendly. Interior is typical for a medium sized Japanese restaurant, with a nice ambiance and chill vibe, very clean and pleasant. Definitely recommend this place even if you're not a big fan of sushi, it's guaranteed that you'll find something else to enjoy! Also don't forget to order a cocktail and dessert, I personally love their Creme Brûlée and Mango or Chocolate gelato flutes-unbelievably yummy! 10 out of 10 Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian sushi rolls or vegetarian hot dishes"

"The six of us had lunch here at Ginza in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. I ordered the lunch special with spicy tuna, tuna avo, and salmon avo along with the sweetheart roll. "Food is good, but is the attitude that comes with it worth spending your money here? NO. I called for the lunch special for Teriyaki chicken, however, I forgot that I wanted the extra sauce on the side as well. I called back and mentioned to the lady who I was recently just talking to that I wanted to add extra sauce on the side as well. The hosts said okay Mhmm hmmm no problem. Once I get there she repeats the order and mentioned that I asked for no sauce on the teriyaki chicken and that I just wanted it on the side completely. I told the hosts that was not what I said. Instead of just saying okay she proceeds to go back and forth. Once I told her for the third time that 's not what I wanted. She now then has an attitude because she has to re-open the back and add it. While opening the bag very aggressively she then hands me my card and receipt to sign with attitude. I should have just left food there and walked out but this would be my last time because the attitude was uncalled for. I order from there all the time and they will see that on their register when you call. However, this is not the first time I encountered a attitude with hosts either. My fiancè has been going there for a long time and I told him after today I would no longer be spending my money there. This restaurant needs to work on its clientele and how they talk to people. It 's not a good feeling when a consumer can feel negative energy."

"First of all kudos to Kyoto for their service during this pandemic. The owner is absolutely fabulous! Our family orders dinner from him at least twice a month. He greats us very lovingly and always refers to us as friends . The sushi is terrific, clean, fresh and presented with care. This is the third year that we ordered our New Years Eve platter from him. We were able to customize our platter with him and he was super patient with us while taking our order. He makes THE BEST Godzilla rolls and the incredible roll is just that...incredible! This is a great little spot to order from for lunch or dinner. When the pandemic clears up, it 's. Such a nice place to go sit in and eat. It 's cozy and you 'll have a chance to speak with the owner who is super friendly!!! Five stars and kudos for staying open!!"

"This was a fantastic meal! I had heard about their half-price sushi and was interested in going with my boyfriend and brother (who are both huge sushi fans . We were immediately greeted at the door and throughout the meal our server was very attentive. The food came out quickly, which made me nervous at first. I mean, its sushi... Doesn't it take awhile if it is supposed to look good? Way to change my expectations of sushi, Tokyo Japanese Cuisine!! The plating was gorgeous and the sushi looked like it came out of a magazine. The taste was even better than that! It was a delightful experience with a relaxing atmosphere. We are sure to come back soon. :"
