"This is definitely a peculiar place, to say the least. They display their menu outside, presumably to attract passersby. After walking by this restaurant countless times, I finally decided to take a look at the menu and step inside for a meal or takeout after work on June 11, 2019. When I entered, the host, an older woman in her late 40s or 50s, asked if I was a hotel guest. When I replied that I wasn't, she simply informed me that they don’t serve food to customers from outside or to non-guests. I specifically asked, "So, is the restaurant only for hotel guests?" To which she nodded and confirmed, "Yes." This is just so strange! I don’t understand why you would have your menu prominently displayed if you aren’t open to outside customers. It’s truly baffling! I would recommend saving your time and money and not bothering to go there!"

"The appetizers were good although not particularly imaginative (sushi, spring roll, blackened rib), and so was the dessert (well with enough sugar and butter it can’t be bad afterall). But the main courses were bland and flavorless, the Cabernet from the pairings was corky, they served the wrong dessert wine, and the service was generally unattentive."

"I have a classified this as amazing food and amazing service with make do spacing and ambience. My first impression is this is family owned then you can tell the food is made with TLC. What's more the food is delicious, high quality and the desserts? Something to write home about! They definitely step it up with their desserts! Homemade in house!! : Vegetarian options: Behalf a few vegetarian options which are fantastic such as the vegetable crochets, vegetable tempura, miso soup, etc."

"a friend with a four-hour reflection at the sfo to dinner can be a challenge, as it can not pass by the security to eat in every series of good restaurants at the airport. I chose agencies for them near, it was an 8-minute taxi ride from sfo for them and a two block to foot from millbrae bart for me. excellent, first class Japanese cuisine in a beautifully decorated room that sets its not describing grace location. the service was excellent as well as friendly and attentive. I would be urgent for a business lunch or dinner, if necessary recommended for comfort near the airport. and again, excellent, excellent eating even a Japanese person would be impressed!"

"Service was excellent, food was delicious, though I found the menu to be slightly confusing in terms of the number of sushi rolls on the menu. One side listed by piece, and the other side did not list any. This was quickly cleared up by the very patient staff. Overall a fantastic experience, and I would definitely eat here again without a second thought. Parking: Large shared lot. Plenty even on a Friday night Meal type: Dinner"

"Traditional style Japanese sushi house w/ a large menu of fish and other non sushi items as well. We tried a lot of things, and liked almost all of them. I will just point out the things we didn't like first: 1). The pork katsu was a bit dry, and 2). the wagyu nigiri which was pretty pricey was overcooked quite a bit, and 3). It was very hard to get our servers attention. As we tried so many dishes I'll just describe my favorites. All of the fish was fresh and good, especially the saba which was thick meaty and anago which was perfectly broiled and lightly sauced. They also have several dishes you don't see too often at sushi restaurants such as kurodai. The chicken karaage breading was very good, but strangely not the oyster karaage so much. The ebi I was a bit disappointed by as it looked so fresh and plump in the display case but when it came out it just looked and tasted like at every other place, not sure if he used different one or what. The tempura batter was also phenomenal too so light and crunchy. The chawanmushi was also tasty and interesting like a savory little egg custard cup w/ cooked seafood or mushrooms. Dessert was also very tasty sweet red bean ice cream and a little strawberry cream puff cake thing. A light and refreshing end to a monstrous feast. Btw, they don't really do rolls here as it's more traditional Japanese if that's what your looking for. I also really like the clean wood decor, and they have tatami rooms for larger parties as well."

"I always come here with friends because they stay open until 2 AM! Tonight, we picked up a friend from the airport at midnight, making this the perfect spot for a late-night dinner. It's also a great choice after work or other daytime activities. Although they're usually busy, we called ahead to reserve a table since we had a party of 8. Their prices are very reasonable, and they offer a variety of dishes including udon, skewers, curry, yakisoba, and sushi. If you're in the mood for a late-night Japanese snack or dinner, this is definitely the place to go! I usually order the Ten Zaru (cold soba) or the chicken karaage dinner plate because it comes with rice and side dishes, making it a complete meal! However, I highly recommend trying their other offerings as well! Plus, you get complimentary vanilla or green tea ice cream with a Yelp check-in!"
