I will definitely return! While I wasn't a fan of the fatty tuna, the other dishes we chose were absolutely delicious! I had the eel, which I really enjoyed.

The chicken in the bento box I ordered for takeout was quite dry, which was disappointing. I would recommend to the chef: if you're going to use chicken breast instead of thigh meat in your bento box, please consider brining it first to ensure it's juicy and tender rather than dry.

The food was pretty good, the service was very nice, and the ambiance was calm. It is best if you get a reservation beforehand. We sat at the bar, it was nice. The reason I rated it 4/5 stars is because other sushi spots I have been to focus on presentation too, and these plates weren't as nicely presented, but they tasted good. It is pricey too. This is among the best dining experiences I’ve ever had, if not the absolute best. It's comparable to Sushi Ota in San Diego. If you appreciate traditional Japanese cuisine, this is the place to go—no overpowering sauces here. I walked in to find every table and bar seat reserved, but they graciously found a spot for me. The service was outstanding. I can’t wait to return with my wife! Thank you!

While the prices might not be the lowest, as the Portland couple next to me mentioned while celebrating a birthday, I found it much cheaper compared to similar quality sushi in my hometown. Plus, the quality definitely justified the price. Lastly, the wait staff was very attentive. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious! I ordered the chawanmushi, which was excellent. We chose our meals from a special dinner selection, and each came with a salad, miso soup, rice, and some tsukemonos. My boyfriend opted for the combination entree featuring tonkatsu and sushi. The tonkatsu portion was generous, but it tasted similar to others I've had. The sushi included a diverse selection of nigiri and a tekka maki (tuna roll). There are no half stars, so I feel odd about the 4. It was better than 4 but not a 5. A traditional Japanese restaurant on the ground floor of an office building. The warm wood furnishings blended nicely with all the glass frontage. Counter service for sushi, as well as small private dining rooms that I definitely want to check out on another visit. Traditional style Japanese sushi house w/ a large menu of fish and other non sushi items as well. We tried a lot of things, and liked almost all of them. I will just point out the things we didn't like first: 1). The pork katsu was a bit dry, and 2). the wagyu nigiri which was pretty pricey was overcooked quite a bit, and 3). It was very hard to get our servers attention. As we tried so many dishes I'll just describe my favorites.
