"When my husband and I lived in Effingham we ate at Joe's at least once a week. We were obsessed with the deliciousness of their Italian sub. We've been away from the area for nearly a decade and in all that time have failed to find a sub that compares. We took work off yesterday just so that we could get to Joe's for lunch on our way down to southern Illinois this weekend and taste those subs again. I was pleasantly surprised that they were even better than I remembered. I was even more surprised at how much I had forgotten about how incredibly delicious their pizza is. Our daughter who got to visit Joe's for the very first time yesterday enjoyed a kids pepperoni pizza and became an instant Joe's fan! I honestly don't know where I can get a more delicious thin crust pizza. My only complaint is that they are not open for lunch on a Saturday!"

"I have a lot to say about this diner. above all, I was all of myself today and the young lady behind the theke high dressed in black with dark hair, she looked somehow goth, did a fantastic job multitasking many different questions and customers at the same time I was impressed by her professional nature, friendliness and professionalism. the diner was very busy, but they have me very quickly a place. the waitress waiting for me was very friendly and she took my order very timely and the food came out quickly. the food was fantastic I ordered a philly steak and don't be silly.) it tasted fantastic. I was very impressed. Therefore I felt it necessary that I dressed a lace for the waitress and a pointed for the big young lady in black with dark hair on the front counter. the owner should be proud of the workers who work there. I guess the five stars!"

"We are friends with some local business owners/staff who were recently featured on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. This tiny epic place was featured on the same episode, and when we found out that the owner was from NYC we knew we had to go asap. I think we finally watched the DDD episode Saturday, and today Monday we went. It. Was. So. Good. I told the owner how we found it, and he was excited by it. We talked for a while about NYC stuff, NYC food being hard to find here to the level it is back east, and we got a margherita pie to go...that was our first mistake because by the end of our time here there was 1 slice left. We were going to eat 1 piece each after not eating all day yet, and welp... That didn't happen.It was so good. The crust was perfectly cooked, perfectly. The dough was spot on New York style, they make the dough and sauce from scratch and you can tell. He was so so nice, the menu has some hilariously named items, they're able to make menu items vegan and says he sometimes has vegan cheese but there hasn't been enough demand to always have it (we need to change that veg fam), and my heart was so happy. I ended up with 1 piece en route home and I ate it cold/room temperature as a test and EVEN STILL it was so good and exactly how not hot pizza should be.The bathroom was really nice, like the sink was spiffy and beautiful, the place was spotless, they have ice cream in many flavors, the menu is extensive and reminds me of home, and I have absolutely zero complaonts. He said he hopes to see us again and he will, probably very soon. I cannot recommend this place enough, I am so happy to finally have found the closest thing to pizza in New York I can in Vegas and I'm so stoked to go back.Vegetarian options: There are countless veg options and even some that are or can be made veganKid-friendliness: Totally kid friendly"

"Usually, I enjoy dining at Eatons, but tonight was the first time I was turned away. I entered the restaurant since the open sign was still lit, and it was only ten minutes until 8. However, they had already started wrapping everything up and told me they couldn’t prepare anything for me. I understand it being close to closing time, but if you’re still open, then you should act like it! If you’re not, then please put up the closed sign! Additionally, it would be great if you could wait to wrap up until the official closing time. I was really looking forward to trying a cauliflower pizza, but being turned away honestly makes me hesitant to return."

"I have always driven by this pizza location. I have been told by many friends that they have solid pizza and I need to check them out. The name is Garibaldi's in Hoffman Estates. There are two locations for Garibaldi's. The first is in Arlington Heights and the second is in Hoffman Estates. I chose to go to the Hoffman Estates location to do this review of their pizza. The moment that you walk in it has a vibe like a 50s diner. The menu has so many items on it, such as Italian beef, burgers, hotdogs, and more. They are not only known just for pizza. It was lunchtime when I arrived at the location. The lunch rush was pretty busy. Many of the people that were ordering seemed like regulars. I asked to do a slice of sausage and pepperoni to try both to give a thorough review. I waited about 10 minutes for my slices to be ready. I am not sure if they were made to order or if they were premade. I will say both the slices were huge. I first tried the sausage slice. The crust was very crunchy. The dough did not have a lot of flavor, but I did like the texture. There was a ton of cheese which was good. The sauce also had a forgettable flavor. The sausage tasted like mediocre sausage. My best evaluation would be it tasted very much like Home Run pizza. The pepperoni had better flavor, but was extremely greasy, which was to be expected. The cheese immediately sloughed off and became a pile of cheese mess. The flavor of the pepperoni pizza, like I said, was better than the sausage. I do not think I would make an effort to order from here if I lived in the area. The pizza was just average at best. I may come back to Garibaldi's and try their other items on their menu."

"This is our favorite restaurant. We enjoy the food and service every time. Often we sit at the bar and visit with other patrons which is fun. The Starters are all so delicious: Grilled asparagus with prosciutto, carpaccio, eggplant with sauce or their chef's special creation and then there is always the scallops! "Today I called in a pizza order while on the road traveling with 6 people in one vehicle for pick up. When I arrived at the restaurant we asked if we could eat in and I would be buying additional items and include tip for the pizza as well as though we were eating in the whole time. The hostess said yes and we took our seats but then came back to tell us the manager said no we can't (no fault of hers she was nice) It was approx 5-530pm on a Monday (not a holiday) so you get the picture... it was not busy. More than half the restaurant was empty in-fact when I entered the front staff wasn't even attending to anyone they were standing at the register waiting to assist customers. It makes zero sense that the restaurant would not want tips for their waitress and more money from us. They weren't packed there was plenty of seating and no wait time. The only thing I can conclude in this scenario is that they have horrible customer service and do not like making money or maybe it was just our money and they were discriminating against our group. Even after explaining to the manager we were traveling and had been in a car for hours he could care less but did oblige by refunding our money and taking the pizzas. At the end of the day all we wanted was a quick pizza and to be on our way to get home. We got that but not at Gus's nor would I ever return to this or any other location based on this treatment. I totally get it if they were busy and there was a wait, but in this scenario there was zero validity to asking us to leave."

"Last 3 times ordering pizza for take out, order was wrong. Ordered a pizza on Mother's Day, went to pick it up, it was wrong. XL meat lovers, no Canadian bacon add Xtra cheese. Staff read order back to me, it was correct. Go to pick up, they put extra sauce instead of extra cheese. I never order extra sauce. Yes, they did offer to correct but I had already been in there 10 min waiting for employee to do something else other than wait on customers even though my pizza was ready and I didn't have time to wait another 15-20 min. I had to scrape the some of the sauce off the pizza b4 we could eat it. On the bright side, the food is usually pretty good. ?"

"I had my F I R S T Italian beef at Bari Foods, and it was amazing. This sandwich from an unassumingly homey mom and pop Italian grocery store/deli ruined me for future sandwiches au jus, and I can 't imagine the Italian beef from The Bear being much better or more satisfying than this.I ordered two 12inch Italian beefs and a 9in Italian sub to go, and all were delicious.The Italian beef was PACKED with beef. I read some Yelp reviews complaining about how there wasn 't enough beef and I just would love to look these people in the eye and ask what on earth they 're talking about. There 's AMPLE, even ABUNDANTLY OVERFLOWING amounts of beef in this sandwich. I asked for extra peppers for an extra spicy kick, and it was perfection. The sauce was so delicious and beefy, soaking the crisp bread and complimenting the thinly sliced meats and peppers. No additional sauces needed. With every bite, the beef overfloweth. One single 12inch fed 2.5 people. The Italian sub was also very delicious and a perfect compliment to the juicy Italian beef. A great, less messy classic sando. The 9in was more than enough to share, and would be a filling lunchtime meal for one.Both of the sandwiches we tried were made fresh and with such care, I 'll definitely be back soon to try their other offerings. I have my eye on the meatball sub."

"They have the BEST ranch dressing!! And, it 's available for purchase by the pint or quart.My family and I ate here on a snowy Sunday night last week before heading home to Chandler.We had garlic knots, two different pizzas, and an Italian sandwich. I also had a margarita, which was slightly fizzy in a good way.Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. I wish I had remembered the lady 's name. She was the only one serving five tables and was 100% fabulous.The ranch dressing was so darn good, I bought a pint despite needing to drive two hours and no cooler, lol. "When she finally came over, her attitude was far from friendly. She brusquely grabbed a bag, and I did my best to stay calm and patient while placing my order. Our exchange was awkwardly silent, with me simply stating what I wanted. When I requested a pound of chocolate-covered strawberries for $20, she gave me a puzzled look, despite a large sign advertising them right in front of us. There was still no response from her—just unwelcoming glances and the sound of her putting on plastic gloves. When we finally reached the counter, I ordered just under $50 worth of items. To my surprise, she asked if I wanted a bag, even though she had provided bags to all the customers before me. I signed the e-receipt, and before we could even finish the transaction, she hurried off to assist the group behind me, leaving me in the lurch. I didn’t receive a receipt, a bag, or even a simple "thank you" or "goodbye." It was one of the most bizarre and rude interactions I’ve ever experienced, and I couldn’t shake off the feeling. As I headed toward the door, I opened it for another incoming customer, but she didn’t even acknowledge my gesture with a "thank you." There was a complete absence of smiles or warmth. I had hoped for a day filled with kindness, and I wish more people would embrace that attitude."

"The pizza is amazing, the salads are great, they should come with every meal! Anything else could use help. I tried to eat here several times, tried several things. Tonight I ordered Penne Pasta with Alfredo sauce. The sauce was orange and very bland. Had to add a bunch of salt and pepper to make it enjoyable. I managed to eat half of it because I wasn't hungry. Do not order the boneless chicken wings. Not worth it. You will send them back and waste your time waiting for something else. Only on the children's menu that is worth the order is the pizza. Mac and cheese is Bland (I think they put it on my Alfredo) Chicken pliers are like rubber. Maybe not even real chicken. Maybe they should change their name on Streets of Pizza."
