"Lou's LaGrotto is a true landmark. It has been serving delicious Italian cuisine for longer than I have been alive, and it's easy to see why when you dine there. Their specialty is Italian food, with pizza being a standout option. I decided to try the Hawaiian pizza (I know, I know—pineapple on pizza is controversial) with a thin crust. The dough, along with most of the bread, is clearly made in-house. The crust was thin and crispy, bursting with flavor. The toppings were just what you'd expect, and the grated Parmesan provided on the table was clearly freshly grated there. On the day I visited, I arrived with a group of 25 people. While they may not have been thrilled at first, the staff accommodated us and served us promptly. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable. If you're nearby, I highly recommend stopping in for a slice."
