"I booked a reservation expected a dine in restaurant with the menu listed on the website. When I went for dinner, I found the restaurant portion closed and the open bar seating was what was available. There were open tables and no host. The menu provided was more like bar food versus the restaurant menu available on the website. I was informed that the website is not updated regularly. The wait staff and food we did order was good, but had I known it was a bar setting, I would have looked somewhere else for a more sit down dinner setting. I hope they update the website in the future because I did enjoy staying at the resort. So overall I had higher hopes but the food was good, just don't expect anything fancy."

"Although the food and our server were excellent my overall first impression of Mimmo’s is just okay. My mother in law wanted to come here for Mother’s Day so I went ahead and made a reservation. They didn’t advertise a limited menu for Mother’s Day so we were upset they didn’t have anything we actually wanted to order. We wanted the crab and artichoke dip to start and it wasn’t on the menu. We wanted the Chicken Toscana, my teenage nephew and niece had a hard time picking out meals because we also came to order pizzas which were not offered! My mother in law ordered the stuffed shrimp scampi and she said it came out cold after it took a long time for our food to come out. By the time her food was remade our table was done eating and she was the one we were celebrating!! Our reservation was at 2:30p and when we arrived no one was in the foyer to greet us. From there the server was great but the food service was slow. I understand it was Mother’s Day and expected to be busy but we waited so long for a limited pasta menu just to have one of our meals come out cold. At 2:30p it seemed like a Friday night would be more chaotic as it didnt seem too chaotic in the afternoon, just filled with people all waiting for food. It seemed as though they were ill prepared for Mother’s Day. I’m disappointed there wasn’t a manager that came around to greet tables. I’m also upset they didnt comp my MILs meal since she did t get to enjoy. I thought the food was good once it finally came out but I would just rather go to like a chain restaurant such as Texas Roadhouse or even Buca di Beppo they know how to pump out the food quick, provide service on busy holidays and it’s always consistent and good. I’m sorry mom and pop restaurant, we tried you for Mother’s Day and it just wasn’t a great 1st impression for me. I’d love to come back for a lunch on the patio with less pressure to please my mother in law! The drink I had was delicious and I’m still curious to try the pizza!"

"On a positive note, the atmosphere was pleasant and quiet due to the low number of customers, and we were seated in a cozy booth. Our waitress was attentive up until the coupon situation. We didn't make a scene but did express our disappointment. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which came with either soup or salad. I chose the salad, but found it to be quite average—small pieces of lettuce, two grape tomatoes, and just two slices of cucumber. However, the rolls were very good and paired nicely with both the salad and the Chicken Parmesan. I genuinely enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan itself; it was a well-cooked piece of chicken. The spaghetti was also well-prepared, and the sauce was flavorful. My friend opted for the cheeseburger, which came with French fries. She added bacon for an extra charge and swapped the French fries for sweet potato fries, also at an additional cost. She was pleased with her burger and fries. Overall, it was a nice meal shared with a friend."

"Every time I go to North Carolina, I make it a point to take my family to this restaurant for a meal. Unfortunately, during this visit, the food did not meet the high standards I've come to expect. If there’s a new chef in charge, they definitely need more training. The service was good, but the food was quite disappointing. I paid for my meal, but to be honest, it felt like I should have been compensated for the lackluster food I received. I rated them 3 stars primarily for the service, and the restaurant itself was clean."

"I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality and diverse selection of authentic food at this restaurant. As someone who has lived in Mascalucia for several years and considers themselves a bit of a food connoisseur, I am usually disappointed by the lackluster menus and processed ingredients at many Italian restaurants. However, this restaurant was a pleasant change! The flavors were exceptional and you could really taste the difference in the ingredients used. Surprisingly, the prices were also very reasonable considering the amazing taste. It was definitely worth the hour drive to dine here."

"Perhaps a Mother?s Day first time visit wasn?t the best time to go or maybe they?re always really busy. Luckily we managed to get the last 2 bar seats, because we definitely are not waiting an hour for a table. In any case, we were well served the food was good. I?m definitely a fan of a more laid back atmosphere having a conversation was not possible due to the amount of people conversing while dining? my watch actually warned me about the noise level because it stayed above 90 decibels while there. All in all, I was pleased with the quality of food staff. I?m looking forward to another visit when hopefully the crowds are smaller more manageable."

"I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years, but my recent experience was very disappointing. The Thai Chili Calamari was soggy and I recommend getting the sauce on the side. The Southern Fried Clams were also soggy and not up to their usual standard, and the stuffed shrimp was very dry. I have enjoyed these dishes in the past, but it seems like the quality at Biggies has been inconsistent lately. Fortunately, my husband enjoyed his burger and my kid liked the mac and cheese. I was also displeased with the fact that cold desserts were bagged with hot items, as my carrot cake was a mess."

"I had gluten-free pizza here, and it was quite good! However, the gluten-free options on the menu are rather limited. Unfortunately, when I ordered a salad without gluten, the server brought it out with crumbs on it. I explained that I have Celiac disease, but it was still a concern. Additionally, the service tends to be very slow; we waited an hour for our pizza. They do have a play area for kids, but it requires a lot of quarters to use. My best advice would be to order take-out to get your pizza faster."

"This was our first night in New Orleans and Vincent’s made us feel so dearly welcomed! A local had recommended us this wonderful restaurant, and he was absolutely correct in suggesting this place! The staff was just spectacular, especially Insley, Elise, and James. They were so caring and attentive, we felt right at home. The food, of course, was outstanding we ordered the duck carbonara and the pasta bolognese from the specials menu, as well as the incredible homemade lasagna. As a New Yorker, this is the place for Italian cuisine. Not to mention, the cocktails were just spectacular. Truly a wonderful hallmark of New Orleans so far."

"I've driven by this diner for 20+ years and always wanted to stop in. Stopped in today with my son ... It didn't live up to the expectations. It's hard times these days and inflation is a **** ... places are struggling, I get it. This place could just use some major updating is all. the cushioning in our booth was completely shot. Felt like we were sitting on sharp springs. Add in the appearance of dirt and grime. It didn't feel too pleasant to be dining in there. I kinda wanted to leave. I dig the cemetery next door and the coziness of the diner though. Also, it doesn't get much more fresh, the food comes directly off the grill (which is literally a few feet away from any booth. The quality of their food isn't good. Both of our plates were covered in a puddle of oil. (I wanted to throw my eggs a life preserver. (Bastards were drowning in it) I look up from my plate and see my son's face shining in grease ... he looked like radioactive man. About 30 napkins later and greased up fingers/face, we called it quits. We left 1/4 of our meals since we were both getting a little grossed out and didn't want to be sick later. In retrospect, we probably shouldn't eaten as much as we did. So yea, I will continue driving by this place. Now I know. Why not use less cooking oil? Seriously. Hell, use avocado cooking spray or something lite. Their breakfast could be amazing. Server was great and she was very quick with the coffee refills. I love that. Take the good with the bad. Maybe it was an off day. Peace out"

"I'm working on the other side of the freeway. I've been to El Metate, many times but wanted to try something different. They have basic diner food. But the food is so much better than basic! everything was piping hot and my drink was refilled multiple times. service was quick. I made it back to work well within the time I was allotted. I had the spinach, mushroom, omelette and hash browns. They have a housemate hot sauce and it is well worth it! They also have an outdoor seating area. Vegetarian options: They do not automatically include bacon and sausage, with their breakfasts. The menu wasn't clearly labeled but there were enough vegetarian options to make anyone happy. The spinach omelette was insanely good."

"Great breakfast!. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was out super fast. We really liked how big the restaurant was, also very clean. We went on a Sunday morning around 9am, and had no wait. We had the cinnamon bun, SO GOOD, definitely treat yourself if you like a little sugar in the morning!"
