"I came upon this place 12 years ago while I was in Grossmont College studying Catering Management. We had to write a business plan and do a restaurant comparison. This place isn't close, but we had business in the Keil's shopping center at Navajo and Jackson. I have heard bad stories from friends who went to an obscure deli. As soon as I walked into the liquor store, there are three employees in the deli! So, everything I had heard was true amazing place which has had a line out the door at lunch time and they stay busy enough so I feel safe about eating there. The rest is a given. I don't know how many times I could come here before I have tried all the many kinds of sandwiches they have."

"I got delivery from this place for the first time and really loved it! The person on the phone was very polite and food was as delicious as their prices !? i ordered pasta and couple slices of pizza and it came with bread small salad AND canned drink !!Totally recommend this place and can’t wait to try more!Vegetarian options: Todya I had eggplant parmigiana pasta, both spaghetti and eggplant were delicious. It came with a small salad with a little bit of cheese and seems like they graded it there..I thought that was very nice! I also got a vegeterian pizza slice that was definitely on point !"

"We decided to try some dishes other than pizza after hearing how good they were at making it. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our choices. I ordered the stuffed shells and my wife had the spaghetti. The sauce on my wife's dish was overly peppered and the shells in mine were slimy due to excess water in the dish. The garlic bread was the standout of the meal. The service was for dining in."

"This restaurant has a speakeasy vibe with a dark, intimate atmosphere and friendly staff. The bartender even took note of the bands playing on his mix when I complimented him. It was a unique and enjoyable experience, making it a great spot to bring out-of-towners. There are some vegan options available and plenty of dishes that can be made vegan."

"The food was good, but we did have a bit of trouble getting someone to refill my mother's drink. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, and there weren't many staff members available to assist with drink refills. That was really the only issue we encountered. Eventually, though, we did manage to get someone to bring my mom some sweet tea."

"First, the manager is very polite. The service was great! Everyone was very helpful from the counter to the table. Let's have dinner, what we're all for Lol? The new steak and pepper sandwich was great! And the tomato soup and grilled cheese was cooked for perfection. Noise level was not bad the music is not overwhelming. The restaurant is clean and clean. Bathrooms are nice overall this is a good place to eat. If you are looking for a good selection of sandwiches. This is the place to go!! Service 5?? Food 4.5??? "I ordered the kids' spud for $3.49, cheese dip for $4.00, and sweet tea for $11.00 at this restaurant. I was not satisfied with the prices and felt that Wendy's baked potatoes loaded with toppings for $5 were a better deal. I was also unhappy with the service as the server expected a tip, despite the total bill being $11. In my opinion, the tip should have been included in the price. The overall service was good at this restaurant, but I don't plan on coming back due to the prices. The meal was for dinner and cost between $10-20 per person. The food quality was rated 4 out of 5, service was 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere was also rated 5 out of 5."

"Terrible service almost every time I go in to have dinner. I guess I’m a gluten for punishment. If you decide to eat here, be prepared to endure a staff that is clueless, stuck in LaLa land and not thinking. Next, you will deal with managers that are aggravated that you would actually come into their facility to sit down and eat a meal. Yelling and talking to the staff in a loud tone. Please for the love of everything in this world please go ahead and pass this Mcallisters up and head to the Pearl location. This one should just be shut down. I’ve had enough. Kristi did great at letting us know what beers/wines were available for order thru her distributers, recommended wines my guests loved, and even took our sparkling cider to chill for us. She was very organized, timely, and pleasant. She walked through our timeline with us to ensure she would have all events covered. Price was great. Could not be happier with their service!Delivered CateringAdded lunch delivery to our contract, Kristi made it very easy to do so. We ordered a mixed platter of sandwiches as recommended for 30. They were absolutely delicious. We also ordered a fruit platter and mixed dessert platter. The cut cookies on the dessert platter were amazing as well! "I ordered delivery for my workplace and they forgot two bags of chips. It wasn't a big deal, so I called them to let them know. They assured me they would bring the chips right over. I repeated my address and waited. An hour later, there was still no sign of the chips. When I called back, the staff member informed me that she had left the chips at the desk in the wrong building. She seemed to have an attitude and claimed that I had given her the wrong address. I requested to speak to a manager, but she had the same dismissive attitude. The manager said it was my fault and indicated they wouldn't be sending anyone back to resolve the issue. Instead, they offered me two bags of chips with my next order. I expressed my dissatisfaction with her and the staff's attitude and let them know we won't be ordering from them again. I work in a doctor's office, and we were hoping for a nice lunch amid the pandemic chaos. We used to order from this restaurant weekly, but that will no longer be the case."

"This place maintains a nice, quiet atmosphere! Even during the pandemic, they've kept their food quality up to standard, which I truly appreciate. The ultimate nachos are a must-try! Yum! And they’re only $9, enough to feed two people. In my book, that's a win! Whoever is responsible for that delicious dessert on the menu deserves a raise. "I was a little sceptical at first. But I'm sure I'm glad I tried. So far the whole food I had was great. Today, by far, was the best. Simple but tasty eggs, bacon, sausage and 2 blue berry pancakes, great atmosphere, great music soft in the background. The best part was a guy who was loud and obnoxious was said to be his mouth through what I think is the owner. It's great for me. Friendly, clean, good food, pleasant atmosphere."
