"I came upon this place 12 years ago while I was in Grossmont College studying Catering Management. We had to write a business plan and do a restaurant comparison. This place isn't close, but we had business in the Keil's shopping center at Navajo and Jackson. I have heard bad stories from friends who went to an obscure deli. As soon as I walked into the liquor store, there are three employees in the deli! So, everything I had heard was true amazing place which has had a line out the door at lunch time and they stay busy enough so I feel safe about eating there. The rest is a given. I don't know how many times I could come here before I have tried all the many kinds of sandwiches they have."

I highly recommend trying the “Godfather“ sandwich. Very tasty with a generous pile of meat. I stopped in for lunch the other day and they were busy, but still very quick getting my order out. Great place for lunch or dinner.

We placed a large lunch order for 26 people at Golden Cheers and it was fantastic! We had the make-your-own deli sandwich platter along with potato salad, three cheese tortellini, Greek salad, and a fresh fruit platter. Every item was delicious and we even had leftovers that everyone wanted. I highly recommend going to Golden Cheers for lunch, as everything I have ever eaten there has been phenomenal. A big thank you to Manny and his staff for consistently delivering great food!
