"This was a really fun experience; I'm surprised the rating isn't higher. We went for dinner (two people, Tuesday around 6-7pm). We sat downstairs, and while our waitress (Ester) had a lot of tables to manage, she did an incredible job of attending to us with prompt and friendly service (I hope she gets credit for that). As far as the food goes, we ordered the garlic bread, the tomato soup, and a pepperoni-garlic pizza. All three dishes were amazing. Vail is a good 30-45 minute drive for us, but we would seriously consider doing the drive again just for this food. One final note: the restaurant is divided into a bar on the upper level and a more traditional restaurant downstairs. While the menu downstairs doesn't show the pizzas, they will bring you the pizza menu if you ask. (I would strongly encourage management to bring at least one pizza menu per table by default, otherwise you're going to be missing out on sales)."
