A generous portion of succulent jumbo lump crab, perfectly seasoned and served fresh for an exquisite seafood experience.

"We held our rehearsal dinner for our son and his fiancé last weekend at Jimmy V's and were extremely satisfied. Helen ensured that everything was arranged perfectly for us to have a wonderful dinner with our loved ones. The chef prepared delicious meals that received high praise from all 50 of our guests. The chef also handled special requests with skill. The wait staff was professional and attentive. The room we reserved was tasteful and elegant. We had a truly unforgettable evening without any worries. We cannot speak highly enough of Jimmy V's and highly recommend it for your special event."

"It was wonderful to see how Cross Street Market has evolved over the decades. We lived in Federal Hill 30 years ago, and CSM was a central part of our lives. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the space that Watershed now occupies on the Karl-St side, but the restaurant seemed to be trying too hard to elevate itself. The prices for food were much higher than we anticipated. While the food was good, it didn't quite reach the level of greatness. There is a lovely deck that looks perfect for enjoying nice days, especially after Ravens or Orioles games. There was a guitarist performing, but the volume was excessively loud. We love live music, but it was overwhelming. Overall, we would consider returning for drinks or to enjoy the rooftop, but not for dinner."

"My boyfriend and I had a lovely date night at Dakota's. The ambiance and decor were fantastic, but what really made our dining experience was our waiter, Zack. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. If you ever go to Dakota's, be sure to request Zack as your waiter."

"We haven't sampled their dinner menu, but the lunch offerings are impressive, both in variety and quality. The portions are generous, and you won't find better value in the area. The service is friendly and efficient. This is definitely one of our favorite spots for lunch. Their sushi is outstanding, and we also tried the beef Chow Fun, which surpassed everything we've had at other Chinese restaurants. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Toups South was such a pleasant experience for us. Since we were there early evening during Thanksgiving weekend, the crowd was light and noise was not a problem. The attention we received was perfection as was the meal. After excellent cocktails at the cozy, comfortable bar we decided to sit at the counter that surrounds the large, immaculate kitchen brimming with containers of gorgeous fresh vegetables. This was a great decision as it was fascinating to watch Chef Lambert and staff prepare our wonderfully delicious food. The flavors in all the dishes were complex yet distinct and absolutely fresh. We shared a small plate featuring scallops, prosciutto, radishes and cilantro oil. We had a very smoky beautiful redfish sauce piquant and French bread generously slathered with crab fat butter and perfectly fried okra. Also on our menu were garlic charred shrimp which actually took a back seat to the braised black eyed peas. We don't know what they did to those peas but they elevated them to a very high level and we highly recommend them. However, beware! They are probably addictive! A chow chow relish garnish rivaled any my mama ever made. Then there was dessert. Yes, really. The carrot cake had no chance next to the creamy concoction from heaven topped with spicy apples and cornbread crumbles. I can't believe we ate the whole thing! We can't wait to dine at Toups South again. Everything about our visit was superlative. In full disclosure, we were honeymooning but I don't think that influenced our perception. At least, not much! :"

"There was a little hiccup at the beginning with the host having to help turn tables. It took us about 25 minutes to be seated (we had a reservation, but it was Valentines Day so they were quite busy). After that, the service was phenomenal, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was romantic. Perfect evening overall. I would go back."

"My fiancee and I held our engagement party dinner for 53 people on Saturday night. It was a complete success!! We had the 2nd floor to ourselves with open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres and seated dinner. We opted for table linens for a meager $25, which gave the room a formal polished look. The event coordinator, Nancy G., went above and beyond to respond to all my questions and requests in the weeks leading up to the event. It was not a short list from vegetarian meals, specific liquor, to a high chair, etc. She was always prompt, polite, and professional, and on the day of kept things moving. She even served drinks behind the bar when the bartender was really busy. We received rave reviews about the comfort and look of the room, the professional staff and delicious food. The only criticism was the kobe beef sliders were a little dry, but otherwise all the other food was well received. The staff worked hard all night and were very accommodating. I would recommend Brass Rail and Nancy to anyone looking to host a private event. We are from NYC, and it was a very convenient short walk from the PATH."

"I went to Bistro Menil for afternoon High Tea. Awesome presentation, and even better savory and sweet finger foods. Started with a glass of champagne, followed by a demitasse cup of cold vegetable and quinoa soup, then the 3-tier tray of finger food. Absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend it!"

"Not a good experience Saturday night at Blackwall Hitch in Rehoboth. Only bright spot was our server she was very personable. Food took over 40 mins to arrive, we stared at dirty, un bussed tables while waiting. Crab cake was overcooked, rockfish unimpressive, risotto with just 2 shrimp and 3 scallops lacked the expected toppings. Cajun pasta was good, all else was just disappointing."

"We waited quite a while for our drinks and when they finally arrived, the waiter spilled mine all over the table. It got on me and my bag. He did not offer a new one or to comp anything. I had to ask for a fresh drink since half of mine was spilled. One of our party members arrived 10 minutes late and the waiter took quite a while to ask them for their drink order. We had ordered two apps and the second arrived long after we had finished the first. The food was mediocre, nothing special. I thought the saffron risotto had too much saffron, which gave it a bitter taste. The DJ was great, I would probably come back again for drinks but not dinner."

"Tried this restaurant about 5 years ago and it was terrible, the chicken was rubbery, there was just nothing about anything we had that was better than mediocre. Although the dessert we had was good. We decided to give it another try after someone was raving about the short ribs. We had to get a reservation months in advance. I was expecting the food to be much better since it 's always so busy. I 'll start with the positives, service was good, food came out fairly quickly, they serve pretty good bread with both butter and olive oil dip, and all of that was really good. The french fries are fresh cut and those were also good, although the garlic and gorgonzola dipping sauces were quite bland. The key lime pie was fantastic although it was a pretty small piece for $12, extremely overpriced! Everything on the menu is overpriced. They had a sweet potato maple bourbon bisque that was really great, creamy texture and great flavor. My friend got the pork belly but was unimpressed. I was so excited for the short ribs, the waiter said they had been braised all day and that it 's a customer favorite. It was so disappointing, I went to cut into it with my fork expecting it to be tender and fall apart and it was so tough I had to use a knife to cut it, it was not tender. Flavor was mediocre. But the texture was extremely disappointing. The mashed potatoes were decent, nothing to write home about...as was the asparagus. Will definitely not be back, way overpriced for disappointing quality. If you want delicious, fork tender, fall off the bone, melt in your mouth, short rib... go to vault@237. response to owner* actually the waiter said maybe it was a bad cut or fatty that WASNT the issue. they were not cooked properly to be tender. why would i wait around for you to cook them for another 30 minutes til they were as tender they shouldve been in the 1st place?! as for bringing in water bottles we arent interested in drinking chemical tap water...i review restaurants regularly and you are the only person that has ever said a word about it...so no, most restaurants do not have that policy. you say you allowed us, as if you think you have the right to control if people drink their own filtered water. thats absurd!"

"We came for the 50 cent wings and $2 beers. We had smoked wings with no sauce because they brought 4 different types of BBQ sauce to choose from, and we also got the Buffalo wings. The smoked wings were the winner. We like our wings cooked HARD these were done completely, but we like a hard skin, so we took them home to finish them off with a little broiler action. We drank PBR for our $2 beer (Bud was the other choice)...kind of fun to go back in time with a pint in hand. We sat on the patio and it was quiet. Since we live in River City, it is only a 10 minute walk. Many specials check it out. The sign says Pork Chop, but it is listed as Chop on Open Table, it seems to me that was the original name when the restaurant opened, it was more steak centered then, so it is hard to find on the Open Table list."

"I now consider myself a regular as this is our go-to for a quick, consistent dinner experience. We arrived, was settled quickly and service began immediately. Food was quick to arrive, however, my wife’s food was not cooked to her requested temperature. The manger, quickly corrected the problem and resolved it to our satisfaction. My good was cooked as ordered and was tasty and satisfying. We will return. Service was good and very attentive. The staff was courteous and friendly as always."

"We understand the issue on being short staffed.. as soon as we walked in (a group of 6) we encountered staff member who gave us attitude for being early. He stated “you have a reservation or you ‘had’ a reservation” and stared at us blankly like we didn’t belong there. We shortly sat down and the waitress proceeded to give us attitude after being seated in her section. We then moved to the bar area tables where our waiter came over to us a total of 2 times throughout our entire encounter, to greet us and then to take our order. We had more communication with the bussers, food runners, and bartenders who felt the need to come over and serve us being our server was not doing his job. All of the members of the group we were with have been to this establishment plenty during busy season as well as off season and to say we are disappointed is an understatement. The food was subpar, and honestly hurt to chew. Drinks were unimpressive and took long to come out, and we were not asked if we wanted another round or refills. Many people in our group are also members of the service industry. We will not be returning."

"Stop here on the first time ever today. I ordered a crab and shrimp cake sandwich to go. When the bill came there was a 5.00 surcharge. I questioned the server who told me there is a 5.00 charge for crab meat. She points to this little sign on the tableabout the surcharge. Needless to say I left that food there. If you going to charge for crab meat do like all other restaurantsand post it prominently on the door, menu and have the server announce when you order. Won't be back very deceptive in responseto the owner statements it is a blatant lie. The server took my order and didn't inform me about the charge until the order camethe server even apologized for not telling me up front. Regardless how you about take time and change your menus to reflect theprice. Better training for your staff and information on your website. My review is not the only one on here about your mysterycrab charge. This is Maryland I know where to go and get a good crab cake or crabs without being deceived"

"It was recommended to us to go to DaVinci’s for a date night by local family living in the area. When we arrived, staff walked past us and didn’t acknowledge us while we waited for someone to address us and help us to a table. After being seated, it took our waitress about 15 minutes to comer over and just take our drink order. After placing our entire order, appetizers didn’t come for over 20 more minutes, and then we waiting another 40 minutes and our meals hadn’t come. We ordered the crab cake meal and a flatbread. The waitress blamed that our order was taking long because a vehicle was on fire in the parking lot. Unless they were grilling our food on the hood of the truck, I don’t see how that was relevant. For parents who rarely ever have a date night, this was so disappointing. We eventually had our food wrapped to go and ate it at our next destination. For a business only operating at 75% capacity, I can’t imagine what the wait would have been like at 100%. May other places with descent food that will execute on a timely fashion."

"I would not recommend going to Fiola Mare during COVID or after. The first thing I was informed of is the time limit at the table of 1 hr 30 min, which I thought was completely tasteless. I was celebrating a birthday and brought a cake with me to share at the table. I was informed that I could not cut or eat my cake at the table because things from the outside are not allowed. I thought that policy was ludicrous because literally people bring jackets, purses, etc in the restaurant, which are technically from the outside. Nevertheless, we pressed on. Our waitress was fine, she did her job gracefully and was very funny. We all ordered the lobster ravioli, which was $55. The dish tasted great but I think we were all shocked when we received 2 ravioli and 2 pieces of lobster. It was so tiny that it was more like an hor d'oeurve than a dish. It is criminal to me that Fiola Mare thinks it is appropriate to charge that amount for 2 lobster ravioli and 2 small pieces of lobster. I have no problem paying that amount for quality food but that dish was severely overpriced. At that point I did not wish to press on and order anything else. With the time limit on the dinner, I think we were all ready to go at that point. We all left HUNGRY and underwhelmed. It completely put a damper on my birthday celebration. For that, I will not return and would caution any one else to do the same."
