"It was wonderful to see how Cross Street Market has evolved over the decades. We lived in Federal Hill 30 years ago, and CSM was a central part of our lives. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the space that Watershed now occupies on the Karl-St side, but the restaurant seemed to be trying too hard to elevate itself. The prices for food were much higher than we anticipated. While the food was good, it didn't quite reach the level of greatness. There is a lovely deck that looks perfect for enjoying nice days, especially after Ravens or Orioles games. There was a guitarist performing, but the volume was excessively loud. We love live music, but it was overwhelming. Overall, we would consider returning for drinks or to enjoy the rooftop, but not for dinner."

Service was poor and the music was too loud. We would have loved to have ordered dessert. Instead our server offered us the bill.

The server was great. Super nice and on it. It’s was very cold in the restaurant and the food was subpar. Very bland and not flavorful at all. View menu

It was a football Sunday, and the music was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation about the games with anyone who wasn't sitting close by.

The atmosphere was good. The food was OK. In my opinion the fries would have been better if the grease was changed. They were too soggy. The music was too loud. The server was OK.

I ordered the striped bass and my wife had the bronzini. Both were grilled and perfectly prepared. best fish I have sinned our journey to portugal. we were there on Tuesday, and the happy hour was still running, which contributed to the noise level. service was good and knowledgeable View menu

Fun atmosphere with US soccer game going on, beautiful modern look inside. The crab soup was so delicious! Loved trying different types of oysters. Entrees were wonderful (lobster roll, crab cakes). Our server was attentive and so friendly, always smiling. And the hostess was just inviting and so kind. Great experience!

We had an early dinner before a show, and it was fantastic! The Maryland crab dip was particularly delicious, and the seafood pasta, although a bit spicy for my taste, was still wonderful. The broiled rockfish was served with the head intact, which startled the child at the neighboring table! We finished our meal with key lime pie, which was delightful. Everything was great, and I highly recommend giving this place a try. They also have a deck, but it was too cold to go up there—maybe we'll check it out in the summer!

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
