"Edge of the Woods has a wonderful selection of fresh produce and the largest vegan/vegetarian meal fixes around. The cosmetic section is full of organic, cruelty free products. The vitamin selection is overwhelmingly vast with any supplement you could wish for. There is a great selection of natural herbs, oils, self love and care products. Not to mention the book section!! I am in heaven! There is a wonderful selection of organic clothing, and the vegan/vegetarian bakery and deli is out of this world. Truly a great place!"

"First time I have eaten here. My wife and I decided to try something new. We both ordered the special which was the prime rib. My wife ordered rare and I ordered medium- rare. Both came to the table tough as leather and well done. I also ordered the 14oz and maybe was 8oz at most. I honestly don't think I've had a worse steak. The bill was around $100.00. As an additional note the waiter said as we paid that it looked pretty well done and not right. So yes he served it anyway. I guess we learned something!"

"The food at this restaurant is exceptional. I haven't been to New Orleans in years, but this place is just as fantastic as it was the last time I visited."

"We stopped in this afternoon to celebrate my adult kids birthdays. It was not at peak time, which was perfect. The staff was very attentive and we were seated immediately. We were given the perfect amount of time to peruse the menu. My son had the flat bread steak burger with a side of red beans and rice, I had the seafood risotto, and my daughter had the crawfish cavatappi. Everything came out quickly, and everyone enjoyed really their meals. My son said the burger was the best he’d ever had. They also got birthday desserts of hot beignets and Mississippi mud pie. I took a taste of the pie…it was so smooth and the whipped cream on the side was amazing. I’m sorry I can’t remember the waitress’s name, but she was wonderful. We will definitely be back again!"

"We always try to make it to FOOW when visiting I personally love the relaxed ambiance and consistent quality of the food. This was our last visit before what was described to us as a month, million dollar renovation. The Watercolor Inn has always been upscale but this sounds like things will be going to a whole new level. Can't wait to try it when completed around May In the mean time we highly recommend you try the Snapper or Lobster in squid ink pasta and a souffle for dessert so you can make your own before and after comparisons"

"Very disappointed. I am a fan of the one in Weston and expected the same level of quality, however I was sadly mistaken. Rhe food was horrible! I ordered the breaded chicken and it was by far the most dry chicken ever served. It was fried so much that you could had broken a window with it. The service was extremely slow. Took the waiter minutes to bring the coffee and dessert...which were both cold but the time they were served! Never again would I go back"

"WOW! I 'm so sad I found this gem just a month before we 're relocating! Our waiter, Frankie was amazing! Very professional, kind and attentive, but not overly so (aka we didn 't feel rushed at all). The ambiance was upscale, but comfortable, I wish I had been better dressed than in yoga pants and a t-shirt, but it wasn 't a big deal at 11am. Food was all very flavorful and timed appropriately. My Husband got the Hawaiian steak and said mmmm with every bite, lol. I got the chicken alfredo with less pasta, but the same amount of sauce, as requested and it was just how I like it. There was a generous portion of chicken on top that was nicely cooked as well. Garlic fries oysters and stuffed mushrooms were delicious! Portions were larger than expected, so we have leftovers, which is nice. "Man oh man I love this place! My wife and I found this 3 years ago on our anniversary trip. We couldn't have loved it more. The atmosphere, the people there, and the incredible food blew us away! I told my wife then that I wanted to get back there someday and bring our daughters with us. Well this weekend, 3 years later, we finally got to do that. And just like I thought they would, our daughters loved it as much as we do! You can't go wrong with anything you order to eat. The eclectic atmosphere and decor adds so much to the experience. But the woman who served us, whose name we didn't even get, was magnificent. You can have a great product, but if you don't have the right people, it affects everything. And that's not even to mention the delicious drinks they have. You can bet the next chance we get will be back! Dietary restrictions: My wife and daughter have very specific needs and both could be met easily. Kid-friendliness: The people couldn't have been more welcoming to my daughters, especially my younger one. She had a great time! "This may be the best restaurant between Little Rock and Monroe or Shreveport, and it could compete with any house in those cities. We just enjoyed great service and several small plates dessert, so can vouch for the house and caeser salads, flatbread (loaded risotto packet goat cheese dip/crostini, and the smoked quail. Also NY style cheesecake. Huge wine list. Historic building. Attentive service."

"Jason’s Deli at Camp Creek has definitely seen better days. It's strange how they limit the number of napkins you can get; you find yourself having to ask for more each time. The ice cream machine is unpredictable, similar to the one at McDonald’s. While I was there with my family, one of my kids managed to get an ice cream cone, but by the time my other child was ready to get theirs, they had "run out of supplies" for more ice cream. They also ran out of corn muffins during our visit and didn't have garlic toast, brown muffins, or special crackers available. The only option was multiple baskets of Saltine crackers. I brought this up to the manager on duty, named Kerby, but he seemed indifferent to the situation. The salad bar has become mediocre, and so has the overall service. I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon, but unfortunately this is the closest JD to me. I should adopt the same indifferent attitude as the manager. I also overheard several other customers expressing their dissatisfaction during my visit (Sunday, April 14, 2024)."

"It was wonderful to see how Cross Street Market has evolved over the decades. We lived in Federal Hill 30 years ago, and CSM was a central part of our lives. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the space that Watershed now occupies on the Karl-St side, but the restaurant seemed to be trying too hard to elevate itself. The prices for food were much higher than we anticipated. While the food was good, it didn't quite reach the level of greatness. There is a lovely deck that looks perfect for enjoying nice days, especially after Ravens or Orioles games. There was a guitarist performing, but the volume was excessively loud. We love live music, but it was overwhelming. Overall, we would consider returning for drinks or to enjoy the rooftop, but not for dinner."

"where do i even start in this dump that is so called a restaurant? first let’s start with the step below cafeteria food, the french toast is bland and dry, coffee tastes stale , and all of the sodas tasted flat. next the service was awful and the waitress practically THREW our plates on the table like they were basketballs or something. okay now let’s start with the part that made me want to leave this review, my card was put on the check and the waitress picked it up right away and had my card for about fifteen minutes. got the bill back and am about 99% sure that we were charged for things that we didn’t order. the bill came out to be way too much and i heard others complain about it as well. super sketchy and i am beyond disappointed with my experience!"

"I visited on a quiet Monday evening for some pre-game watching eating. Found my way to the longer bar (they have two actually — one about eight seats and the other three). Sam was one of the most pleasantly engaging barkeeps I have experienced in quite some time. He provided recommendations as well as a detailed explanation of the pizza oven and food philosophy of the restaurant and instances when owners greet customers.I ordered a hearts of palm salad, octopus with asparagus, and meatball/fries sides to eat there. I also took a superiore pizza and tiramisu dessert to go. The salad had great portions and proportions of ingredients (hearts of palm, artichokes, red peppers, and olives) which tasted crisp and fresh. My first time having octopus was well rewarded with good texture and meatiness feel to the octopus and again an appreciated portion size. Nice acidity from the accompanying lemon caper sauce too. Sam’s recommendation on the meatballs was well placed, as I enjoyed three meatballs that had good meat flavor with little binder, texture not too soft and not too firm, and fresh marinara. Fries were crisp and hot as well as not salty at all. I liked experiencing pizza the Italian way — lightly sauced with nearly perfect topping proportion, a little char on the bottom, and a great tasting crust. Ending with the homemade tiramisu (first time eating this dessert ever) was definitely the right call. Soft but such a light interior, well controlled sweetness from the marscapone cheese, and just the right amount of cocoa powder.Prices seem only slightly higher than what might be typical for the area. I definitely feel one can get satisfying value in any section of the menu. I have to try one of the pastas on my next visit and maybe a special or two and the housemade cannoli. I can totally see why this place has the popularity it does!"

"??Service was friendly helpful. Brisket, smoked chicken ribs were delicious the fries onion rings were yummy hot. Ate on the porch since it was dog friendly. Even had a water bowl for our pooch. Porch a bit noisy bc facing the road lots of people coming going.? Vegetarian options: Had veggie sides salads. Parking: Parking in front back. Tight to maneuver. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp from parking to porch. Due to outside dining on the porch, it might be a bit tight to maneuver wheelchair."

"on the way to an eating tour in asheville we went past mayfels, there was a huge Beignet sign on the way that caught our eyes. it is a cute louisiana inspired restaurant that is dog friendly. we immediately decided that we will come back before the end of our trip and sure enough that we stayed here for a late breakfast/early lunch on the last day. the service was fast and the staff was very friendly. the food was so good! I was already in new orleans and always garnelen étouffée and that's up there! big taste, much garnel and crust fish, nothing else than a small hot sauce was needed. my man got the keks and gravitation and eaten the whole plate. the cookies were amazing and the perfect portion! I can't expect to travel back in the future. we ate the beignets so fast, so we don't get to get a photo of it."

"I dined here al fresco during lunch. They're right by the parking garage in Rice Village so if you're there for under two hours your parking is free. That was cool. I really enjoyed sitting on the patio, especially since it was warm that day. It's an Italian market where you can buy cakes by the slice, etc. They make their pasta fresh each day. They give you free bread and olive oil before your meal. The bread is served warm and it's delicious. The olive oil is smooth and balanced. I wanted pizza so I added Italian sausage, pepperoni and mushroom. You pay for extra toppings. It was pretty yummy! It's enough for two or more people to share. I ate the whole pizza by myself. I thought the pizza crust was soft but chewy. The texture might not agree with everyone. I prefer a completely hand tossed soft crust or a thinner crispy crust. Still, I really liked the pizza. I also had a Caesar salad; however, it only had one crouton...The dressing is very light so people might miss the thick, creamy Caesar dressing. I thought it was fine. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. It wasn't too salty either. My waiter was nice. He/the staff kept filing up my lemonade with water so I had to tell them what I was drinking each time. My bill was $24. Not bad for a bougie lunch in Rice Village. I would eat here again."

"City Social is an awesome find in a perfect location! We had theater tickets at the Cadillac Palace and wanted to grab a bite before the show. Made a reservation on Resy was delighted that this place was around the corner. The GM greeted us at the door and couldn't have been friendlier. The place is rather large but the wood/tile decor and small high top tables give it a kind of cozy urban kitchen vibe. A long bar extended down one full side of the restaurant and had large TVs above. They were very busy with happy hour business, Hawks fans catching the game, and families with little girls in Elsa dresses going to see Frozen. Our waiter was prompt offered great suggestions from the craft cocktail and dinner menus. I had a drink called a Potion 101 which was absolutely delicious. Yeah, I had more than one. ? Another person in my party had a gin drink that she loved. The American fare menu is expansive so you'd be hard pressed to find something that you didn't like. We decided on sharing small plates, so two of us had yummy french onion soup and wedge salads. We also shared a spinach artichoke flatbread pizza, amazing firecracker shrimp, fried pickles and boneless buffalo wings. Definitely elevated pub fare, so I'm excited to go back check out their other entrees. Prices were on par with downtown.I loved that the service was friendly and prompt but didn't make us feel rushed. Plus they got 5 stars in my book for consistently removing empty plates drink glasses one of my pet peeves when it's not done. Overall a great place to go before a show, after work or after a day on Michigan Avenue. We will definitely be back!"

"The restaurant has the ambiance of a dive bar, but its menu is far from ordinary pub fare. We enjoyed the Chanterelle mushroom quesadilla, creamy ranchero dip, smoked wings, and a shrimp Po' boy sandwich, all of which were absolutely delicious! They also have a fantastic selection of cocktails and beers. Our server, Jess F, was wonderful. Despite it being a busy Sunday night with preparations for live music, she remained friendly, attentive, and efficient. We will definitely return to explore more of the menu and soak in the atmosphere."
