"came here right in front of a GSU football game and enjoyed it. I may not have been attentive to the menu because I ordered the pulled pork dinner, but I thought it was a sandwich. came with a large part of pork and the cook was nice enough to offer a bun since I hoped for a sandwich. I had ridden and mac for the sides and they were good, but nothing special. I love how spacious the sitting area is and they can have tables or stands...many tvs to see their game of choice. I thought the gay was delicious, but my friend had the drawn truthahn and it was moist on the outside, but dry on the inside. Overall, I would recommend trying it, especially if they are in the opposite."

"Came in to play a few games of pool and have a meal. We were able to play a game and still no one came up to our table to see if we would like to order anything. At the door, the sign clearly stated to please seat ourselves, so there should have been no issues getting service. There were a couple workers huddled around the cash register, who never acknowledged we were there."

"I ordered the full rack of ribs, served with claws and green beans. The ribs were so tender they practically fell off the bone, and the flavor was outstanding. They were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of smokiness from the wood. Both side dishes were well-seasoned as well. The sauce I had was smooth and had a nice smoky taste, reminiscent of Kansas City style. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking out Rib City!"

"Twisted Pig has the charm of a neighborhood hangout with a diverse mixed crowd , pool tables TVs ,as well as a juiced up jukebox with a good play list .Food is ok some things simply need better seasoning portions are good size .Service is great !! *Summer the waitress/ Bartender was nice friendly had the Brisket dip sandwich not bad good bread but was missing something with a side of homemade mash potatoes needed salt but nice consistency. My spouse had the Meat loaf sandwich which is huge !! had a really good side sauce that was a kind of sweet Heat combo on it asked for side of it in fact.... the meat loaf sandwich again needed a better seasoning profile as it was just bland and maybe the object is for you to get all the flavoring from the sauce ,but that is a disservice from how signature that sandwich could be with some basic spices to compliment that wonderful sauce ! Side of fries were crispy delicious those were well seasoned .Oh yeah forgot we started off with the fried green tomatoes for a app and although they weren't the best ones I've ever had they had a unique breading I'm guessing cornmeal base that had a nice coating a lil kick with the dipping sauce made them interesting .Overall the experience was good, and seems like a place you can have a few friends get a beer and grub after work type feel or you and your significant other could just hit while out for a quick bite on the way out on the town."

"I stayed at the Hampton Inn on the street looking for a good place to eat. Dixieland matched the bill and had really good reviews. I wasn't disappointed. Some have mentioned a waiting, but that seems because they place the food fresh. I loved that when I went to the drive-dru window I drove past the smoker and it smelled amazing. I have the comb plate with sausage, pork, beans and potato salad. The meats were excellent and I prefer the sausage without the intended sauce they put on the side. The potato salad was great, but the beans had slightly heavy onion taste. I'll make this a regular stop for me when I visit my client here."

"The chicken and dumplings at this restaurant are exceptional, although I found the chicken to be preformed and not very appealing. The dumplings are generously coated in delicious gravy. The fresh turnip greens are fantastic, closely rivaled by the fresh green beans. My husband enjoyed the fried okra, which was perfectly cooked, along with nicely prepared black-eyed peas. However, the small pieces of cornbread didn’t quite satisfy. He also ordered the Holy Cow cake for dessert. Overall, the service was good, but I would recommend skipping the chicken and asking for extra cornbread!"

"OMG! That is a great dog!! I am not an easy person to please when it comes to hot dogs. Most are good only because of the toppings, with the hot dog being a secondary contributer. Not here the hot dog is amazing and it holds up will under the multiple toppings I put on. Great texture as well. The fries were perfectly crunchy and soft insides with the seasoning so tasty. I will be back!!!"

"I decided to give this place another shot after my first visit, which was just okay when I had the pulled chicken. Unfortunately, today I tried the pulled pork, and it was very fatty. I had to spit out my first bite, as I’m quite particular about that. The first bite usually indicates how good a dish is, and this one missed the mark. The bun wasn’t toasted; it was just a regular hamburger bun, and it was soggy, to boot. The pulled pork was also overcooked, with a mushy texture reminiscent of corned beef—not enjoyable at all. I ended up not finishing my sandwich; it was really disappointing."
