"If Anita H is your server, prepare for a terrible dining experience. 645pm reservation. Got sat at 7pm. Wasn't greated until 715pm. Didn't get drinks until 730pm. She didn't check on us throughout the rest of the night. A manager had to bring our meals to us that I'm sure were sitting under a her lamp for a bit. Both medium steaks were on the wing side of medium well by the time they got to us. Overall, worst dining experience ever. Very sad and disappointed."

"They charged each person in my party (12) to my husband's 50th b-day dinner $9 to eat the cake that I bought somewhere else and brought in. Ridiculous! That cost more than the cake itself! My guests should not have had to pay for any of that. Some didnt even eat cake. Nothing like being invited to a b-day dinner that you have to pay for and also pay to eat and already paid for cake. What a rip-off! And totally embarrassing!!! We should have just gone to Texas Roadhouse...."

"This was a birthday dinner for a friend. The waiter was stiff and deadpan. Our salads and apps were good. Our loaded baked potatoes were dry, overly salty and withered. Not sure there was even butter. My steak was ordered med. rare. It came rare which is ok with me, but not what I had ordered. Kept asking for ice water and kept getting water no ice. Also watched this waiter attempt to flambe a brulee with a cigarette lighter actually touching the plate and dessert with it. Stick lighter maybe? I requested my friend be surprised with a birthday dessert when I made the reservation. Even checked with hostess who assured me that it had and I saw her talk to our waiter. When it came time, I assumed that the waiter would bring it but he asked if we wanted dessert. I ended up ordering the dessert which we were charged for. I longingly watched the personable waiter attend to a table of and provide the birthday dessert for their table. Maybe he could offer some tips our waiter. I assume that maybe our waiter was new. And yes even though I was not satisfied with the overall meal and service I still tipped . There are always other causes for unacceptable service. "I recently dined at The Hereford House off Midland 435 during Restaurant Week and I was impressed with the convenient location and ample private parking. The service was quick and the restaurant week menu was fantastic, with my favorite being the steakburger. While the food took a little bit longer to come out, the result was a delicious and satisfying burger. The price of $15 for the burger, fries, fudge brownie, and $2.50 for iced tea was well worth it. A big shout-out to Israel for his attentive service, making it a very positive experience."

"Really sad what has happened to this Kansas City institution. Visited on Sunday night, empty parking lot at dinnertime. Not an auspicious start. "The steak lacks seasoning. The stew looked like it came from a can and didn't taste much better. I am not a fan of serving dishes off of a huge plastic cart.
