"I recently dined at The Hereford House off Midland 435 during Restaurant Week and I was impressed with the convenient location and ample private parking. The service was quick and the restaurant week menu was fantastic, with my favorite being the steakburger. While the food took a little bit longer to come out, the result was a delicious and satisfying burger. The price of $15 for the burger, fries, fudge brownie, and $2.50 for iced tea was well worth it. A big shout-out to Israel for his attentive service, making it a very positive experience."

Service was not great, despite not bieng all that busy. Steak was just ok. Not good value for cut of meat, which was not prime.

our three happy hours snacks were not so advertised on the menu and were not on their usual excellent standards. the manager gave us a discount after he asked how we liked our food and we told him the truth.

Chose the 1957 salad with the two dressings that Hereford House is known for. It did not disappoint. Had to ask the server for eating utensils and seasonings. Had carrot cake to celebrate a birthday and it was amazing! View menu

The atmosphere is cold and kind of sterile with bright white led bulbs. We were initially seated in some back room where we asked to be moved. The steaks were fine but for $100 a plate, there are far better restaurants in KC.

I had high expectations for this restaurant based on recommendations from friends, and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious! The medallion steaks were particularly outstanding. The side dishes were a bit plain, but still enjoyable. The service was a bit slow, but there were plenty of staff members who were attentive.

I was excited to visit Hereford House again since my childhood visit in 1999 to the original location. I ordered the Kansas strip steak, which was split between two people. The sides were good, but the steak itself had a lot of fat and gristle. It had a decent taste, but it wasn't as good as I remembered. The service was okay, not as exceptional as I remembered. We had a great lunch at this restaurant. The Brisket Tacos were very unique and delicious. The Prime Rib and Steaks ordered by others in our group all looked fantastic. The Appetizer took 30 minutes to come out, but that wasn't a big deal for us. The management even came out and apologized for the wait, which was definitely unnecessary but a great example of excellent customer service. We will definitely be back!

The sirloin steak was large, but somewhat tough. The fish and chips were average. The breading on the fish lacked flavor. The tartar sauce was bland and could use more seasoning. Limited vegetarian options, so non-salmon eaters may struggle to find a suitable dish. The chocolate martinis were outstanding - some of the best I've had. The bartenders were fantastic and the service was excellent. The French fries were a highlight. Overall, the food quality was top-notch.

"Love the old vibe of this place! And the pizza truly was amazing. I don't like thin crust but I found this pizza crispy yet filling. Delish! That said, service was a struggle. The server appeared to be alone, so this could have simply been a staffing issue on the first trip I've ever had here. Seems that there was someone who showed up halfway through our meal who started helping out. But the service was weird. The single server made a tour of the entire restaurant and took everyone's orders, which made total sense since he was alone. But then he walked right by us twice without stopping. I finally stopped him and asked if we could order and he said he would be right back. Which he was. But it was odd that he walked right by us twice without even acknowledging us while being sure to help everyone else. Aside from that, this place really does seem worth the price. Pizza is costly. The complaints from other patrons in their reviews are valid regarding cost. But this is one of those times when you're getting what you pay for. If you want cheap pizza, then you will certainly be able to get an affordable one at a chain. If you want good, unique pizza then you will pay for it here but you will get what you pay for. There are also really good specials on weeknights. We stopped here before a movie so we lucked out on the $10 medium one topping pizzas. I really wanted to try a specialty, but the cost was prohibitive. Having tried the one topping, I will feel less hesitant about spending the money on a specialty in the future."
