"The veg dinner for two is a great deal, but make sure they give you everything that comes with it! Last night I ordered take out, only to come home and realize they hadn 't included the raita, and also forgot to include one of my favorite sauces! : : Ironic, too, as the cashier exclaimed that I had ordered a lot of food! :P The *best* deal is to dine in, because then tea is included, as well as those papadum chips which are not included when you order take out. It is a lot of food, but it makes for great leftovers!!"

"I highly recommend this restaurant for their quality of service and delicious curries. The staff paid close attention to our needs and recommended dishes when we were unsure what to order from their extensive menu. The downstairs seating area is spacious, with a small outdoor dining area as well. The goat curry was perfectly cooked, with tender meat and a non-greasy curry. The chicken curry had well-cooked chicken and the right balance of spices. I appreciated having chapatis as an option for bread, which is not common in many Indian restaurants. The restaurant has a homely feel. The only downside was that I wasn't a big fan of their momos, as they lacked flavor."

"Went for an impromptu early dinner. What a treat. Had beef samosas and a basket of assorted Indian breads as appetizers. Delicious. Continued with Fish Vindaloo Chicken Chilli Masala (requested both at medium spicy levels). Both dishes were excellent in my opinion, and I'm comparing to similar meals I have had in India. The accompanying rice was good, though small bowl frankly for two people. Continued with pistachio ice cream and a very, very, delicious rice pudding, which was not only refreshing but had a most subtle essence of cardamom. We will return soon and have recommended it to friends already."

"There is no better Indian restaurant in the area. We love the food at Masala. It’s always delicious. We usually get take out, but last weekend decided to meet friends there. We don’t find the ambiance very pleasing. It feels almost like a cafeteria. The lighting is really bright and the music somewhat unpleasing while dining. The young servers are certainly kind and courteous, but we felt rushed. They could use further training in the proper way to serve and remove dishes from a table. There’s no need to reach across the table, in front of someone to clear a plate and then drop silverware on the diner. Again, the food is fantastic!"

"So yummy got it twice in a row! So many seasonings, piping hot and really fresh so far. Everything I’ve gotten so far has been exceptional. They do take a little longer than other places to prepare the food but it’s worth it. Also cheaper than other Indian food spots around which is nice. They package takeout so nicely and always add a little extras here and there. Wish they were closer to where I live; I drive 20 minutes to enjoy their food. They nail the chicken korma, I’d say even better than the butter chicken! Online ordering is easy, too! Gotta give them a try you won’t be disappointed."

"Went to the Ambrosia Aptos location last night and had a pleasurable experience, so I 'm sad to see a handful of people who did not. We ordered onion bhaji and aloo paratha to start. The mint sauce for the onion bhaji was incredible and deep with different spices/flavors we kept it at the table to try with our other dishes. My partner and I had a big meal earlier that day, so we decided to keep it simple with two main courses: butter chicken and dal makhani with a side of basmati rice. Admittedly, this was my first time eating butter chicken so I cannot attest to its authenticity. That said, it was delicious! Rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The dal was some of the best I 've ever had it 's one of my favorite Indian dishes and they hit the nail on the head with this. I was audibly "mmm "ing and "yum "ing the whole meal. We had a great experience with the service as well. Our server checked in a handful of times to ensure we were enjoying our meal and to see if we needed anything else they caught our need for a drink refill right away. Another employee sparked up a conversation with us about the mint sauce I mentioned earlier and we appreciated his interaction/engagement. We 've decided to make Ambrosia a regular date night spot, so I 'm excited to come back and try some new dishes. "our request to a quiet table has been visited definitiw. the service was excellent. they were very responsive in the treatment of our allergies and the communication about ingredients in various means of life. the appetizers and main courses were served hot and in the order (instead of all at once, or close to each other, how often happens to other places. the waiting staff checked at regular intervals, but not annoying to see if everything was good or we wanted/required something else. we really enjoyed our time and eating."

"The menu has changed from the photo in HappyCow from a few years ago. You have to ask which dishes can be made vegan and when we went in October, 2022, only the first four items in the vegetable section of the menu could be veganized. They substitute potato for the cheese. You can’t rely on the asterix on the menu items for what can be vegan because only one item on the entire menu has an asterix. The roti bread can also be served vegan but none of the nan breads can be. We tried all four of the main courses recommended and especially liked the dish featuring garbanzo beans and the dish featuring peas. The dal and the spinach dish we’re both just OK. Adding mango chutney to all of the dishes helps add another dimension of flavor. They are clearly understaffed with only one server for the entire restaurant but she managed to hold it together pretty well and was very friendly and helpful. "I went to the location on cannery row but couldn’t find it here. I just ordered the the vegetarian appetizer sampler (which is also vegan) it had great flavor, good portion and a delicious dipping sauce on the side. Staff was friendly, place looked clean. I ordered to go due to pandemic rules and ate it at the beach. I would definitely go back to try their main dishes."

"This place smells every time I drive. I have eaten here several times for 4 months and I am more than impressed every time. Pati (I hope I spell it right) Is a very attentive and humble restaurant owner I always like to see when I come by to get or eat. Make sure you order a Mango Lassi!! Just my favorite smoothness! Food is always perfectly prepared and quickly brought out, no matter how busy it is. Even if there is some time the cozy atmosphere and immaculately presented dishes really cement this restaurant as a Stoneham store that ensures that often.
