"This is possibly the worst Indo Chinese food I have ever had in the US. The Manchow Soup, whether vegetarian or chicken, is basically just a soup of red chilies that is extremely hot and spicy with no vegetables or noodles. Eating this soup will almost certainly give anyone diarrhea. The Golden Chili Baby Corn is also disappointing, as it is only made with red chili paste and the baby corn is very hard, lacking in flavor and tasting only like chili. I ordered Chicken Noodles or Schezwan, but received fried rice that was excessively spicy with only chili flakes and chicken that tasted old and stale. I feel like my $50 was completely wasted. Despite its high ratings, this restaurant serves the worst Indo Chinese food. I will never order from here again and will not be returning. They are simply taking advantage of people with their poor quality and truly unhealthy food."

"I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. The quality of the food that goes into the meals is really top notch. In their defense, we went there right after the holiday weekend and maybe it was a little different. It won't stop us from coming back in the hope that it was an anomaly rather than the norm."

"I was excited to try this place, and they did not disappoint. I loved the variety of the buffet. Everything was delicious. If you're not sure what's vegan or what would have dairy, I'm sure they would be happy to help, the service was very friendly. The buffet was larger than a lot of Indian buffets you might be thinking of. I love south Indian food (dosas, idli, etc maybe even more than northern Indian food, so I appreciate places that have both. The price is also pretty reasonable. There aren't many places in the DC area that offer Indo-Chinese dishes at all, and this place has the most of any I know of. They had some items in the buffet, including ones I had never tried before, and they have more on their menu (mostly on the appetizer menu). I don't live nearby, but I'm hoping to go back and try some of the dishes on the menu, because they have some I haven't seen on any other menus in DC/VA/MD."

"Tried this for the first time today. After a long night and craving some tasty Indian food, we found out our usual place was closed. This is much closer and I am so glad we tried it! Here 's what we ordered: Chicken Curry $18.95 Medium $0.00 This one was a little disappointing in terms of portion size it was a lot of sauce and not much chicken. However the dish itself tasted great! Garlic Naan GN x 2 $8.00 Naan is fresh, garlicky and a smidge chewy but not in a bad way. Less fluffy, more stretchy, if that makes sense Mix Vegetable Curry Vegan $17.95 Spicy $0.25 Tasty, good portion, nice variety of veggies Baingan Bhurta vegan $17.95 Medium $0.00 This is an eggplant dish, and I loved it! I was looking for something similar to this stuffed eggplant dish I get and this was similar, and very very good. Comes with yogurt sauce on this side. Good size portion. Chicken Dum Biryani $16.95 Spicy $0.25 HEFTY!! Great for the price. The chicken is bone on, but that so it adds flavor. The spice is right for sure! I would say this is like Indian fried rice . Lots of flavor lots of stuff really really good. I chose the spiciest version and it 's the perfect amount of heat if you like spicy. A little too hot for him, but I really enjoyed it. Saag Aloo curry ALU $17.95 Medium $0.00 By far my favorite. Yes it 's green, but if you like spinach and potatoes, you 're gonna love it. Good portion here as well. Aloo Kale Tikki 3 Pcs $6.95 I wasn 't the biggest fan of these. They are sweet in flavor. My boyfriend really liked them. They 're little potato and kale patties with a type of chutney esque sauce on top. You get three to an order, which is a little up there. We did a take out order, and picked it up. Inside was nice and smelled great. You can sit down or take out, there are servers if you want to dine in. The owner who gave us our order was extremely personable and helpful! I think we found another great Indian spot! The only downside is that it 's more expensive than our usual place. It is also odd that they charge more for spice level, but we did like it a lot. I know that this type of cuisine takes an eternity to make, and there are a lot of ingredients but it is certainly up there price wise."

"What can I say about food that is served from the heart, no adjective can do justice, we were visiting Denver for fall break and found this little gem, we were so glad we found such authentic Indian fare in Denver that we visited this place every single day we were there. We had barota kurma which was a flavor bomb, we had it multiple times, we also tried the potato fry, okra kaara kuzhambu and a humongous chicken sukka and Navratan kurma.I cannot fault them in any way, so very flavorsome, the servings were so generous and served with passion. The service was great too. If you live in Denver or if you are passing by, do visit this place, you will definitely go again and again. This is a gem that cannot be missed. We hope to come again sometime soon..."

"We celebrated my daughter's birthday during our second visit to Sapphire, which she chose as her preferred restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. They surprised her with a birthday dessert that she absolutely loved. My oldest daughter enjoyed the Thai Fried Rice with shrimp, while I had the Tandoori Mix Grill. The birthday girl relished her Shrimp Curry, and another guest enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala. The rice and garlic naan were delicious too. My takeout Panang Curry Chicken was excellent, featuring red curry, lime leaves, coconut milk, and peanuts, all served with crispy steamed broccoli."

"This was my very first experience at an Indian restaurant, and I was actually a bit surprised at how much I liked pretty much everything. I love that this is a buffet-style restaurant. I was able to get literally one of everything except for a few items that I already know I don't care for.If you've never had Indian food, don't be afraid to try the goat. I know it's not a typical American food, but it actually tasted surprisingly good! In fact, everything seemed to be seasoned in a slightly different way, but it was all really well- prepared. To me, this is the perfect way to try a new cuisine. You can take a little bit of everything you would like to try without having to commit to an entire plate of an unfamiliar food. The only negative aspect of the restaurant was the service. I could see that they weren't understaffed, but the employees seemed to be walking around without noticing tables. They were polite though, and when we got their attention to ask for a refill on something, they would get whatever we needed. We even had to ask for them to bring the credit card back after about 10 minutes along with the final bill so we could sign it.We definitely plan on going back, and to me the food is worth the visit even if the service is slightly less attentive than we are accustomed to."

"Good food, we're new Indian food, but really enjoyed it. Service was fast and friendly. 7 out of ten was not really so sharp on the palate, but I could feel the fire in my stomach. We tried 2 of the full meal options. The chicken and lamb curry were very tasteful. We're coming back! We went back, got Curry chickens and Masala chickens. They are larger portions than the combo, more chicken. We both got 7 spices and thought to try 10 next time. We like it hot! Oh, the flavors were incredible! Service is always fast and friendly!"

"Modest in size with three rows of two person tables pushed together tables in middle and some in windows. Tables against walls on right as you enter are four person tables with high cushions, whereas on left side they were two person tables with high back bench cushioned bench seats facing out with regular wood chairs on outer part of table. Prices are decent compared to other nearby Indian restaurants. Not ADA accessible. Street parking only. Progressive Indian music over speakers. Only three staff and kitchen staff present. Service is laid back but when they are slow it is good. It appears a place for local Indian community rather than tourists. Maybe during work hours it changes. I was here at 6PM on a Wednesday 2023 and there were plenty of tables available with no wait. Flickering mining lanterns for ambience. Clean location. Bar in back of this narrow location. Bon appetite! Carson"

"I love their food, but it doesn’t like me, so we only order once in a while. Something in Indian Food I am allergic to??? We used to order from them a LOT, but now I know I cannot, so it is a treat when we do (with me eating it in very small portion size( I remember eating at this place years ago when they served their food on paper plates and the tables were lined up like a high school cafeteria! I was not impressed with the feel of the place or the food at that time. Now they remodeled it and it is beautiful and of course we cannot experience eating inside because of Covid. So, I am glad they are doing well with Carry Out orders."

"My partner and I have been to Rooh 10+ times and have recommended it to friends, family, and business partners from all over the world. With that being said, I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt compelled after an exchange we had with someone working there as we were leaving. Due to Covid requirements there is a time limit, which we understand, however, after we were given our bill by the waiter he told us that we were to pay virtually and he mentioned that he would still be stopping by our table once more after paying. We were under the impression that he was going to pick up the bill, so even though we were over our time limit we still were waiting for our waiter to come back. Unfortunately, before this could happen another man who had not served us and whom I assume must be the manager, immediately came to our table after we paid and told us that he needed the table and that we needed to go. Again, I would like to reiterate that we understand the Covid requirements and we were happy to leave and give up our table, but the way he delivered his message and in such an abrupt way that not only embarrassed us, but left a bad taste in our mouths. I hope that this man understands that he may have lost two devoted customers and hopefully in the future he will work on how he delivers a message because I would hate for you to lose more. I would like to reiterate that our waiter was absolutely amazing and everyone that served us was amazing. The food was wonderful as well and we had ended the night on such a high note that it is very unfortunate we had to have this exchange with the manager (the man in the suit)."

"I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant. My favorites were the crispy spinach appetizer and the chicken tikka masala. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the menu offers some incredibly creative options. The waiting staff was attentive without being intrusive. I also consider this one of my favorite spots for lunch."

"The wait time was terrible, the service was terrible, and the staff was rude. We ordered soup, chili chicken, and chana batura on a weekday at 6:30 pm. The soup and chili chicken arrived, but we had to wait 40 minutes after finishing them for the main chana batura. When we asked for the reason for the delay, the person in charge rudely said it takes time and they have many deliveries. We wanted to cancel our order, but he didn't even apologize. We had a 2-year-old with us who was also frustrated and started getting fussy waiting for the food to arrive. I would never return to this place or recommend it to others."

"Delicious, fresh, with impressive variety of styles and flavors! Best dosa I've had since I lived in California and there was a restaurant chain that specialized in them... this is a good place to try this dish if you've never had one before. I must add GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS gluten free options Gluten Free Options to help other Yelpers looking for a restaurant experience that won't sacrifice taste or authenticity for having GF options. My only disappointment, ironically, was the GF naan and only because I ordered the garlic version, and I guess that the way it is prepared, the pieces of garlic cloves are burned in the process (if you like that overpowering burned-garlic taste go for it! . I may have been expecting a garlic butter instead based on other restaurant experiences, so my bad. Next time either plain GF naan or none at all, and I'll be saving room for a dosa! And a FULL BAR with cocktails that use a South Asian spin on the classics. Such a find and easier/faster to get to from NNJ and other parts of Rockland than you might think, plus easy strip-mall parking!"

"This was my second time dining here with my friend. Upon a bad first experience (our food was incredibly salty and the customer service was poor), we decided to try them out a second time, as inexpensive Indian restaurants are few and far between. Immediately after we sat down, we noticed a difference between how the servers treated my friend and me. I am African American and my friend is white-passing. They continuously placed all of the dishes on her side of the table. I can’t even comment on their customer service, as it was practically non-existent. After my friend paid the bill, we left and went our separate ways. I was almost two blocks away from the restaurant and in another establishment, when I saw a man waving at me through the window. It was an employee from the restaurant. He accused me of not paying, however, as I mentioned, I wasn’t even the one who had paid for our lunch. Furthermore, my friend was given a receipt after they presumably charged her card. I told him that my friend had already left, however, he made it clear to me that he was not going to leave. I came back to the restaurant and paid for my meal. My friend checked her bank account and the server did not charge her card, however, to track me down and insinuate that I had intentionally left without paying, is absolutely unacceptable. The bill was $38 in total. Please spare yourselves the trouble and dine somewhere else. I recommend New Dehli Palace, across the street."

"I've been in the USA for 7 years and have never experienced such a bad hospitality in one of the US rehabilitators. This is the worst restorer for hospitality. Here's what happened to me when I visited Pickles to brunch today (i.e. 2/1/2014). I went to this restorer on Saturday at 11:30. I was very hungry. I sat in a place. Server came and gave me the menu. He did not turn up to 10 minutes, so I called him and ordered “Uttapam” and tea, I told him that he served me tea after uttapam. Without warning me that uttapam takes 30 minutes to prepare that he went in and gave the order. I was in the impression that I got uttapam in 5 or 10 minutes. After 5 minutes he came and served me tea. I told him I can't do it until I finish uttapam. He took it in. I waited for uttapam for 15 mintues, and meanwhile I realized that the buffet started for lunch. Since I did not get my uttapam and I was very hungry, I told the server to cancel uttapam and I will take the buffet. He went in and came after a few minutes and told me that uttapam is on the grill. But I told him to cancel the Uttapam since I had lunch. He didn't say anything, and I went on with my lunch. After some time he bought Uttapam. I was shocked to see Uttapam in my place. He even waited for me before he put uttapam on my table. He laid uttapam and went. When I saw uttapam on my table, I was shocked. I called the server and asked him why he set it when I canceled it. Then he started telling me that as soon as any article is on the grill, we can't cancel it. When I asked him why you told me that when I asked him to quit. When I started my lunch, you ask me to take both. When I started with this server, the owner of the restorer Mr.Nageshware Rao heard our conversation and he began to arguring with me. He told me you ordered it and if it's on the grill, you have to take it, there's no other way. When I told him that your server did not inform me that I must accept the order when it is on the grill. He wasn't able to listen to me at all. When I told him I'm going to review it. He got angry and asked me if I threatened him. I said yes, I'm threatening because you didn't really tell me about the order. Then he lifted his pitch and told me, "I don't care about your damn review, go and do what you want." I was surprised and shocked to hear that. I mean in India there is a saying “Atiti Devo Bava” means “Guest is like God”. Here I see a person who is the owner of the restaurant and when I went there as a paying guest, he humiliated me with such a excitement, I never decided to go this place again in my whole life. Finally, I pay both for uttapam and for lunch buffet. I mean, we go to restaurants to have some rest, but here I see a restaurant that gives you more stress than peace."
