"This is a Japanese restaurant where chef-owners dine. I know because I had a lovely conversation with one during this visit to cozy yet excellent Katsuno. My self-designed tasting menus typically start with the zensai small plates of the chef's choosing. Usually one is kabocha, the other two vary. Consistently delightful way to open the palate. This time, I ordered a first course of madai from Japan unagi and other white fish (senior moment-please pardon me). Beautifully prepared and presented. The tenzaru soba was perfect for a post-beach re-entry into urban life This is a rare neighborhood gem, worth the trip"
