"Ebisu is a great sushi restuarant that needs to find itself. The menu is over the top huge (which usually scares me)but the sushi/sashimi selection was excellent. The service was slow to start but once our waitress was engaged, she was right on. The atmosphere was quite and clean. We tried a variety of sashimi and nigiri, all of which was fresh and delicious. Our favorites were the o toro, salmon belly, hamachi belly, and monk fish liver a rare find!. If you're a sushi/sashimi purist, then you'll appreciate this place."

"We have been coming to Pine Tavern for years. We had patio seating and the temp. was perfect with a mild breeze. We were a party of 6. The Rueben sandwich was very dry.....not much 1,000 Island dressing. One person in our party ordered ginger ale and when he asked for a refill, he was not informed that the ginger ale was not a free refill and charged them for a second drink. We all felt that the server should have explained that this is from the bar and not a free refill. Other than that, we had a very nice time together."

"I love the friendly staff there and I love the sushi that they provide. It’s a bit on the higher end but definitely worth every buck. The service was a tad bit slow on our food but I think they were just busy. Glad I made a reservation"

"We ordered sushi rolls,I love the tuna,my wife is a vegetarian, so there were several options, however we didn't say there was a vegetarian. It arrived on time, but as my wife was un packing, her two vegetarian handrolls were next to a fish. She called, a bit nasty to start, but someone quickly diffused her, told her not to worry, and in 15min, we had 3 individual replacements. Absolutely up and beyond to get a replacement that fast. My wife felt awful she was a bit rude to start, she wanted to call and apologize but it wasn't that bad really. I didn't just give 5 stars just for that, the spicy tuna rolls, and fried pork dumplings were very good. I'm not sure if you can make fresh Wasabi or not,but their's is so strong w a fresh, moist consistency that will melt your face if your not careful, I personally love it. My only criticism would be the slight need for some,or more rice wine vinegar in the roll's rice."

"So my wife is big into Japanese Sushi so when she found this place online she was ecstatic to say the least. Since then she must order at least every other week. She loves the sushi rolls and the Miso soup. She also loves the seaweed and dinner combo. The staff is always friendly. The portions are great. "However, by 8:24 PM, I called Delivery.com again because I still hadn't received my food after 20 additional minutes. The representative contacted Masa again, and they told him it would take another 10 minutes and that someone from the restaurant would call me to apologize. At 8:33 PM, I received a call from a man at Masa, who explained that he wasn’t sure what had happened, but my food should be arriving soon. He expressed his sincere apologies for the hour and 45-minute wait and mentioned that he thought the driver was closer to picking up the food. When he called, I was relieved to hear that the driver was nearly at my house. He also promised a credit for the inconvenience, stating that they normally don’t have issues with Delivery.com, although they have faced problems with Grubhub. I appreciated the call, and soon after, my doorbell rang at 8:35 PM with the delivery. Now, on July 19, I have yet to receive the promised credit. I contacted the restaurant, and a woman who identified herself as the manager told me it wasn’t their fault the delivery took so long; she claimed it was the driver’s issue for being out driving around. I was instructed to reach out to Delivery.com for a credit. When I called Delivery.com, they could only offer a $35 credit on my next order, but then they reduced it to a mere $10, claiming it wasn’t the driver’s fault but rather the restaurant's. They contacted Masa for a larger refund, but all I could get was the $10. This situation was not my fault at all. I genuinely don’t think the driver was to blame either; if he had been driving around with my food for over an hour, it would have been cold. Fortunately, the food was hot, like it had just come straight from Masa. It’s disappointing for a restaurant to acknowledge an issue and then shift the blame elsewhere. I've ordered from this restaurant many times before, and it’s unfortunate that it has come to this. If they had simply stood by what their manager told me on the 14th, we wouldn’t have this problem. I hope they reach out to resolve this matter, as they have my contact information and should take responsibility for their mistakes."

"I would like to give it 3.5 stars, but for the overall value my rating feels fit. the spicy thunfish, spicy salmon, and sweet potato tempura rolls (small special, $16) and the pork gyoza 8.) the sushi itself was tasty enough, especially the spicy salmon. but the spicy thunfish really lacked and the sweet potato roll lacked the iconic sweet drift found in other sushi joints (it left the roll rather dry). I would have liked to see a chili oil in the bag next to her. overall, for $20 they can probably have a better sushi experience in gramercy/ flatiron/ midtown. for a quick lunch it is not and at all. but I'm probably not going back to maguro."

"This is our new favorite local BYOB spot. We've been twice now. The staff is very warm and friendly and the food is superb. If you like well crafted food and are willing to pay for very interesting tasting, beautifully plated food then this is a great place to go. We've been twice and both times they have been great with dietary restrictions as well. It's charming, casual enough to walk in (if you can get in!) but also a great place to take visiting friends and relatives or for a special night out or date. The Wayne area needed a place like this. We'll keep going back for sure."

"The food at this restaurant was excellent, but the service was extremely poor. Our server was rude and took 15 minutes to come to our table to take our drink and appetizer orders. When I mentioned that we had been waiting for her, her response was dismissive. Despite this disappointing service, I did not want to ruin my friend's birthday by asking to speak to a manager. I would recommend the food at this restaurant, but be prepared for subpar service."

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we are looked after before us. We have expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it out of a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region."

"Aji is my favorite sushi place in all of NYC. The service is extremely kind, attentive and generous. Love the atmosphere — it feels relaxing in here. The menu is vast and everything is excellent. The specialty rolls are awesome (Spicy Girl and Mango Hawaii are a couple of my go-to's), the udon noodle soup hits the spot on a cold day. We always share edamame (no salt) and steamed shumai too. And we don't often get dessert, but every time that we did, it was clear a lot of care went into that, too … – show"

"We ordered delivery of two chicken ramen bowls from them. We were about 50 cents shy of the minimum order, so had to add a $7 appetizer that we didn't want. We chose them because they were only half mile from our hotel and promising short delivery times. We asked for our Ramen medium spicy. After 40 minutes, a while after food was due, I called to see if it had been delivered (since we didn't find it in our lobby). They told me driver was picking it up, and we'd see it in 5-10 minutes. So I told them thank you. We are literally a few minutes away. Still 20 minutes later no food. I called again and got the same promise as the first time! Ugh . Almost $50 for two bowls of ramen and a forced appetizer. When it finally arrived it was not that hot and they hadn't added any spice as we had requested. Such a bummer. I wish they'd make this right! Otherwise we won't be trying again! Based on our experience so far, I'd recommend not to waste your money!"

"Our latest visit here really changed my feelings for this place, unfortunately. We 've been here a few times before when we were in town. It has that local vibe with good food. Recently, we went by again for lunch before heading back to LA. First, they no longer have the happy hour deals all day. It 's narrowed down to limited rolls and hours. That was fine since we still found something we like. Then, their grill area was closed due to a catering event, which is also fine. But when we called 20 minutes before, they failed to mention it. We drove here to learn we were restricted to rolls or poke, nothing grilled until an hour after we arrived. But a few minutes after we placed our orders for poke and rolls, our server came back out and told us the grill was now open, but was already too late for us to change our order to grilled items We decided to try 2 of their poke (Hawaiian furikake) . We asked for the most authentic, OG style poke closest to the islands. Thinking they have the word 'Island ' in its name, we expected the same we had in Hawaii, but both poke we ordered were lacking flavors, very much on the bland side. Some pieces of the salmon had a lot of veins. The rolls: Island Special and the Waimea. The latter was the highlight of the meal. Nice light char on top. The former wasn 't bad but did not stand out. We also ordered a bento box B, which we have every time we come here. This time, the noodles were greasier and the beef was near burnt to a crisp (see my photos) Before, when we asked for the check, they will take my credit card to charge and bring it back. This time, our server brought a handheld POS device, swiped my card and said 'pick a tip option ' and just stood there staring at me. That felt very tacky and not representative of our previous experiences here. About a 1/2 hour after we left, all of us started to have stomachaches and didn 't feel well. I 'm not sure if it was their raw fish or burnt beef, but it didn 't make for a pleasant drive back to LA. Well, there are other Hawaiian joints in or around Vegas so perhaps we 'll go try another place next time."

"The service was extremely slow, especially when they knew there was an event at SAP. I had put on the reservation that we were there to celebrate a birthday, and they did nothing, so don’t expect anything. The food was ok, I have had better sushi at other restaurants, but the location is convenient for predinner at the Tank"

"Stumbled upon this place passing by. Looks unassuming from the outside, but inside they have absolutely phenomenal customer service, and good food as well! Attentive staff, everybody (including the chefs) said thank you to each and every guest as they leave. Definitely will be coming back!"
