"I ate here at lunch time. I was the third table to come in and sit, with two servers working. Initially, service was great, I was greeted and my drink order was placed. I was given ample time to look over the menu and the server was good at answering any questions I had, I placed my order and waited. My server brought out the onion soup that I ordered, which was barely heated, bordering on cold. Then I proceeded to wait 30 minutes for my food to come out, with 2 servers working and being the 3rd person seated. I ordered a sushi roll, teriyaki chicken with white rice. By the time I received my food, 4 other tables had been sat and received their soup/salads/drinks. When I went to eat the food I had been waiting for, I found the rice and the chicken were both cold. The sushi was the only pleasant part of the dish. I told my server about this problem and was offered another bowl of rice to compensate for the rice being cold but nothing was done about the chicken. When I asked what happened I was told that the plate had been brought from the back to the sushi station to wait for the sushi to be made which is why my food came to me cold. I do not like to complain about food or the service and typically I chalk bad experiences up to someone having a bad day but this was exceptionally difficult to do considering this was my first experience at this establishment. I enjoyed the sushi very much and it was extremely tasteful. I just would have liked the food that was suppose to be hot to be hot."

"I have long been a fan of China Club. It had the best food for my money in Mansfield and a nice quiet atmosphere that was great for date night. My wife and I went to the new location for the first time, and I have to say I'm disappointed. The menu was much smaller and has moved away from strictly Asian fare into having some Italian and American pub food. The new location has more of a sports bar feel to it than fine dining. There were a lot of loud conversations going on and TVs with sports. There were also very few private tables and instead there are long tables with seats down each side for a more communal eating environment. Maybe I'm just oldschool about such things, but I'd rather have my own table so that my wife and I can have a more intimate experience. The service was quick and attentive, so no complaints there. The food was still good, but some of my previous favorites were no longer on the menu. My wife and I always order potstickers when we come to CC, so we did so again. Unfortunately they changed the recipe from more traditional steamed potstickers to fried dumplings. They were fine, but not what I was expecting, nor as good as the previous version. I was relieved that my goto order, Mongolian beef, was still an option, but when it arrived, it was clear that the recipe had changed. The meat was high quality tenderloin and had a good grilled flavor, but there was almost no sauce on it despite being served with rice, so it made the dish rather dry. Had I never been to CC before, I think I would have been satisfied, but I can't help but compare it to the old CC and find it lacking. I hope management will bring back some of what made CC so special and not try to make it a glorified Applebee's with a few Asian options"
