"Stumbled upon this place passing by. Looks unassuming from the outside, but inside they have absolutely phenomenal customer service, and good food as well! Attentive staff, everybody (including the chefs) said thank you to each and every guest as they leave. Definitely will be coming back!"

"Sushiya in Del Mar Highlands is a great spot to enjoy some Japanese cuisine. It's conveniently located near my home, so I frequent it for dinner occasionally. The prices are fair, and they offer half off deals on certain rolls and hand rolls. The food is decent, although some of the rolls were a bit messy and not perfectly crafted... but they were still tasty. While Sushiya isn't very large, it does have a sushi bar and a few outdoor tables. It can get busy, so seating may be limited. The decor is simple, nothing extravagant. The staff and service were pleasant, and the food was served promptly. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for Japanese cuisine!"

"my favorite is sushi, so I'm constantly on and out of new places, but that was one of the best places in ann arbor I tried. friendly staff, good eating and the atmosphere is beautiful with many vegan options. it is one of the only places I found with really tasteful ramen that is vegan. it was my first time today with my friend and I have a feeling, we will return here religiously."

"I ate here at lunch time. I was the third table to come in and sit, with two servers working. Initially, service was great, I was greeted and my drink order was placed. I was given ample time to look over the menu and the server was good at answering any questions I had, I placed my order and waited. My server brought out the onion soup that I ordered, which was barely heated, bordering on cold. Then I proceeded to wait 30 minutes for my food to come out, with 2 servers working and being the 3rd person seated. I ordered a sushi roll, teriyaki chicken with white rice. By the time I received my food, 4 other tables had been sat and received their soup/salads/drinks. When I went to eat the food I had been waiting for, I found the rice and the chicken were both cold. The sushi was the only pleasant part of the dish. I told my server about this problem and was offered another bowl of rice to compensate for the rice being cold but nothing was done about the chicken. When I asked what happened I was told that the plate had been brought from the back to the sushi station to wait for the sushi to be made which is why my food came to me cold. I do not like to complain about food or the service and typically I chalk bad experiences up to someone having a bad day but this was exceptionally difficult to do considering this was my first experience at this establishment. I enjoyed the sushi very much and it was extremely tasteful. I just would have liked the food that was suppose to be hot to be hot."

"I don't know what they put in this Tom Yam, but I would drive two hours just to have it—it's the best Tom Yam I've ever eaten! There's something truly special about it. The food is consistently wonderful, and I keep coming back. The banana tempura is the perfect dessert to enjoy before bed. I give this place 5 stars! "

"The service was excellent at this restaurant. I decided to try the spicy tuna poke dish with rice and was impressed by the ability to customize it. I opted to add avocado for an additional charge, and it was worth it as the dish was super delicious. I ordered the 'normal' size and was pleasantly surprised by the large portion with plenty of tuna. My partner ordered a bento box with teriyaki salmon and also enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable as well. Overall, a great dining experience."

"I have long been a fan of China Club. It had the best food for my money in Mansfield and a nice quiet atmosphere that was great for date night. My wife and I went to the new location for the first time, and I have to say I'm disappointed. The menu was much smaller and has moved away from strictly Asian fare into having some Italian and American pub food. The new location has more of a sports bar feel to it than fine dining. There were a lot of loud conversations going on and TVs with sports. There were also very few private tables and instead there are long tables with seats down each side for a more communal eating environment. Maybe I'm just oldschool about such things, but I'd rather have my own table so that my wife and I can have a more intimate experience. The service was quick and attentive, so no complaints there. The food was still good, but some of my previous favorites were no longer on the menu. My wife and I always order potstickers when we come to CC, so we did so again. Unfortunately they changed the recipe from more traditional steamed potstickers to fried dumplings. They were fine, but not what I was expecting, nor as good as the previous version. I was relieved that my goto order, Mongolian beef, was still an option, but when it arrived, it was clear that the recipe had changed. The meat was high quality tenderloin and had a good grilled flavor, but there was almost no sauce on it despite being served with rice, so it made the dish rather dry. Had I never been to CC before, I think I would have been satisfied, but I can't help but compare it to the old CC and find it lacking. I hope management will bring back some of what made CC so special and not try to make it a glorified Applebee's with a few Asian options"

"Amazing little place on the waterfront! It was pretty quiet when I went for lunch last week, the waiter was super polite and very helpful. Great relaxing atmosphere and amazing sushi! Got a Double Shrimp Roll with a side of Alaska Rolls, they both came served on one big plate which is a plus from me, typically being annoyed with all the little separate plates when I get more than one sushi order. Everything about the sushi was delicious and very well made, typically sushi can be a little too sweet or the sauces overdone but these were balanced perfectly. Felt amazing leaving afterward and will definitely be returning soon!"

"I haven't had such a disappointing dining experience in quite a while. Despite having a reservation, they had no record of it, even after I showed them the confirmation email. They tried to make us wait at the bar, even though there were several open tables set aside for other reservations that were over 15 minutes late. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and the staff seemed poorly trained. It took a long time for us to be acknowledged, and when we finally were, the server couldn't tell us which dishes were vegan or vegetarian; all they mentioned was that the ramen "came in a bag." We noticed a few rosés on the wine list, but we were served "the only pink wine I could find." Some of the food was decent (like the fried chicken and veggie tempura), while other dishes were barely edible (such as the scallion pancake). On top of everything, our food took so long to arrive that we almost missed our show."

"Happy hour here is a short great tour into Asian cuisine with great prices and drink specials. The perfect place to bring coworkers after a long day. The staff makes you feel welcomed and are very familiar with the menu. The atmosphere is relaxing, calm, and inviting. This place is great for date night, family outings, or just a quick bit after work."

"The atmosphere was pleasant and quite relaxing, but the service left something to be desired. I was with a friend, and we felt a little overlooked. The prices didn't match the taste and portion sizes of the food. We ordered the beef with healthy rice for $18.50 and Korean sweet chicken for $20.99, but instead of the miso soup we expected, we received something else that the server referred to as egg drop soup. However, it had strange vegetables and no egg, which was unusual. Overall, the food was adequate but not impressive. I wouldn't choose to return; everything tasted quite bland. My friend even remarked that it reminded him of leftovers from Panda Express. We skipped the sushi because it seemed overpriced, and they forgot to bring us our rice tea, though thankfully, he managed to get some from the reception."

"Caleb was an excellent server—very friendly and attentive! The appetizers (spicy garlic edamame, shrimp gyoza, and salad) were fantastic, but I wouldn't recommend the ramen or the sukiyaki. The pork in the ramen was overcooked and left the entire dish tasting burnt. I've been to Japan several times, and I've never encountered pork in ramen prepared like this. As for the sukiyaki, I'm not sure how it's traditionally done, but unless you enjoy rubbery noodles, I'd steer clear of that as well! On a positive note, they do offer Asahi and Sapporo on draft, which was a nice touch."
"Great place for groups. Love their sashimi! Very fresh. I also love that it's a BYOB I always enjoy the hibachi here, plenty of food and fun."

"the best place to eat sushi in fenway. it is my cozy restaurant and we went on a Saturday night. the tables are at a distance so that they do not empty the table next to them, and eating is amazing. for a packed Saturday night, the service was initially somewhat slow to get our main course, but drinks and apps came on time. highly recommended!"
