"I visited in juli and also in nov. both paintings the restaurant appears badly managed and badly managed. the total experience is disappointing. it takes 45 minutes to get her sushi order, regardless of whether the restaurant is busy or slow. the server tried to be pleasant, but the service was inefficient and the server seemed to have little control over the situation. after 45 minutes waiting for our food, someone came to the table saying that they are the manager and offered to help us. our sushi started shortly after. at umi they pay premium price, but they get a substandard experience."

"I'm gluten free and love sushi, so I'm always ecstatic to find a sushi place that understands gf! They had gf soy sauce on request, and the menu had a blurb at the bottom that said all the sauces are made gf. I was so excited, I ordered the unagi (eel), which I love but never get to order because of the sauce. Turns out, their eel sauce wasn't gf either, but the staff did bring the roll with the sauce on the side (which my friend could eat). So, not quite what I was hoping for, but at least they caught it while I was ordering and there was no awkward sending the food away. On the plus side, they had classic sushi options and some very tasty rolls I haven't seen before! The staff was helpful and very good about refilling our water often. I love that the menus are laminated and you write in what you want with a dry-erase marker, including comments! Great way to make sure everything is right. Overall, definitely coming back if I'm in the area! Service: Dine in Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"We arrived at our reserved time and waited at the entrance for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Several waiters noticed us but acted as if we were invisible, even passing by us multiple times. Throughout our meal, we felt unwelcome. After dining, considering the service we received, we left a $20 tip (about 10%), which the waitress remarked was insufficient and indicated that we should tip at least 18%. I understand that such expectations are becoming more common, but this wasn’t indicated on the menu or mentioned beforehand. Frankly, we believe a lower tip is warranted when the service is poor. On the bright side, the food was outstanding. I sincerely hope they can improve their service in the future."

"My wife and I visited in the evening on a Sunday night for some date night sushi! Honestly, we were not expecting the amazing service and quality of their food. Everything was top-notch!They were extremely attentive to filling our drinks and taking away dirty dishes as we finished. Everyone was extremely polite. Most importantly, the sushimi and nigiri were succulent, the sake was cold and crisp, and the rolls were well portioned and flavorful! We would recommend it for a night out with friends or a casual date. We both walked away saying, Wow!"

"experience: experience was not the biggest, but will try again if the weather is better. we were Tuesday night for 6:30 o'clock reservations for a birthday party. when we went to order, we were told that most of the items we hoped were not available because of the weather (it was snowing. the food we ordered, but was good. ambiance: there were only 1 or 2 other tables that sit so different than enjoying the company of our group, the ambiente was flat. the waitress was nice and attentive. location: also for an NW suburb it was kind of hard to find the restaurant. the address on gps brought us to home depot. we demanded help, but in all shops (combination of a shopping center, food shops, etc. and all the roads that wrap around randhurt village, also the employees in the restaurant had a hard time to direct us to their location."

"This is solely gonna be about the food. Ube Latte: (1/10) SO grainy????? Like why was it so grainy at the bottom? Coffee taste was nothing special. Could barely taste the ube despite the vibrant purple color. Loco Moco w/ Hamburger Steak Eggs: (2/10)1. Rice decently cooked. It definitely could be more soft and pillowy if cooked more fresh. It honestly tasted like microwaved leftover rice. (6.8/10)2. Egg: Asked for it over easy and got just that. Might be the most well cooked item on this plate. (10/10)3. Hamburger Steak: overcooked, thing, dry, chewy, and flavorless. All I could taste was plain ground meat. Where was the flavor ?? (2/10)4. Gravy: flavorless. It made the rice softer which was nice in terms of texture but I could barely tell when I was eating the dish. (1/10)Overall, super disappointing and subpar."

"the waitress was rude. the cutlery and mug down. ask rude, okay, what do they want after they throw the menu down. When I finished eating, the workers ignored me when I asked politely, hallo, where do I pay for listening to them to talk about me. a man who worked there sat on the table that stood opposite me and stared at me so meanly. that's not the first time they were mean to me. the first time I was pregnant and once I sat the same waitress, slammed everything down n threw the menu on me n didn't give me a minute to n said the same thing they want? I ordered my food then changed my mind and told her to cancel because I didn't like how she treated me and she told me that she would call the bulls when I was ready to go, she was on my way when I tried to get out of that. I told her she went forward and the bulls called me because I canceled my order, they should treat her customers with respect. I refuse to go back there. they can smell their cleansing product, as they do not rinse it off on their tellers and paste. they are rude and mean."

"We were excited to try this place for the first time but we were sorely disappointed. We spent the night waiting. We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order. I had been at the restaurant 40 minutes before I received my drink from the bar and that’s when our order was taken. We were there with our 3 children so we couldn’t afford to wait much longer. So I left with the kids and my husband got our order to go (it still hadn’t came) and took a Uber home. The waitress was very nice and apologized several times but a manager NEVER came out and addressed the situation. We will not be going back."

"The food was great, but I lost my appetite very quickly after the service me and several other people received... It was quite pitiful to see the blonde white lady working the register get overwhelmed over a couple phone calls and people walking in to order at the same time. She has no right yelling at customers and having an attitude while your in your place of business. Especially as a white woman working at a ethnic restaurant, check your privilege really... She made everybody involved very uncomfortable"

"Wa Sushi is a paradise for sushi enthusiasts! The quality and variety offered here are unmatched in Metro Orlando. The team truly understands the craft and is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in both quality and preparation. If you appreciate fine sushi and are seeking the best, this is the destination for you. However, if you're used to the $4.95 California Roll experience, you might find satisfaction elsewhere. Visit Wa if you're eager to explore unique options you won’t find at other venues. This is the perfect spot to bring friends who have never tried sushi before or to recommend to those interested. They also serve fresh wasabi, which is a rarity—only available at a couple of other places in Orlando. While many sushi spots have unagi (freshwater eel), Wa Sushi sets itself apart by offering anago (saltwater eel), which is far superior. Additionally, they have yellow tobiko (tobiko colored with yuzu), something I’ve never encountered in Orlando. As someone who has traveled to Tokyo for sushi, I’m thoroughly impressed by this establishment, and I sincerely hope they achieve great success."

"The food is consistently excellent. I tend to order the same dish each time I visit, and Kenshin is always accommodating with my substitutions at no extra charge, which keeps me coming back. The service is decent; the waitstaff isn’t overly intrusive, and I appreciate that all the staff take a moment to attend to your needs. I would definitely recommend Kenshin for both lunch and dinner, and the BYOB policy makes it a great experience. Recently, I started making reservations, and they’ve always had my table ready, even if I change my reservation or arrive a bit later than planned."

"The food was very good, however the service was slow. We were seated for at least 8 10 minutes before someone brought us water. We had to wait another 5 to 10 minutes before our waitress came by to take our drink order. We did not get to the restaurant until 8 pm, and they close at 9. By the time we received our food it was almost 9 o'clock and I felt rushed to finish eating and leave the restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and the food was good."

"I politely explained to the waiter that I am vegan—clarifying that I don’t consume dairy or eggs, just to be clear—and he assured me that the ginger salad was vegan. However, when the salad arrived, it looked different from any ginger salad I've ever had. I suspected there was some kind of cream in it, so I asked again and was rudely reassured that it was indeed vegan. I ended up taking my lactase that night because I experienced symptoms of lactose intolerance."

"My coworker I stopped in with time to kill before she took me to the airport (I 'm a DSM visitor). She is obviously a regular because before we sat down, Nick asked her if she wanted her regular drink and what I wanted. I asked what they had and he said Everything I make is magical . You can 't beat that. We had already had lunch, so we wanted drinks. We sat in a booth and he told me not to look at the cocktails in the menu. I said I liked the sound of their blueberry vodka drink and he said he would make me something similar. He did. Amazing. For my second, he asked if I liked cucumber. What he brought was not only picture perfect, but a light refreshing vodka drink with slices of cucumbers. See photo! Before I was finished with that, I slid a new fruity cocktail onto the table for me. All were amazing drinks. We ordered the fried cheesecake that was so different and a great dessert. What a great first visit and he encouraged me to come back. I would like to taste their food next time. Nick is delightful."

"The menu never disappoints. The food is yummy. Sushi is fresh and service is friendly. Other items on the menu like orange chicken and pad Thai are just as good. Highly recommend this place."

"Very awkward experience, went with one of my friends and there was no one to greet us and so we sat ourselves, atmosphere was very uncomfortable half the lights were shut off and there was a bunch of tv’s that were shut off and no music playing, waitress was nice but there was only one so service was slow and the food took even longer to arrive, most of the stuff we tried to order they didn’t have, it took about 40 minutes for my food to show up and it took another 20 for my friends food. When the food got here it was very average, nothing special and didn’t taste that great, I got the gimbap and the rice was very hard and the filling wasn’t very good but the mulmandu wasn’t too bad. I probably wouldn’t come here again though, spent a lot of money for a very less than ideal experience."

"We had a combination of three meats to grill at the table (beef bulgogi, pork kalbi, and spicy pork bulgogi), after an appetizer of calamari. Grilling at the table isn't for everyone. I would normally have them grill mine and serve it, although grilling at the table is very common in Korean dining and quite fun. At a restaurant, I like to have someone else prepare the food! But, in this case, we were with two Korean guests, and they were happy and adept at grilling. So everything was perfect. The side dishes were very good, and I would recommend that you try everything (if you don't know Korean food) and ask for more of anything you use up."

"I had passed by this restaurant several times and was always curious about it. The ambiance is nice and the menu is very appealing, offering a wider variety than many sushi restaurants. Unfortunately, the food was average. We tried the spicy tuna tempura roll, yellowtail, salmon and scallop sushi, basic udon, the salmon mango avocado dish, and the ponzu Hamachi. Everything was plated nicely but did not quite meet our expectations in terms of flavor. For the price, I would prefer to go to Sugarfish. We likely will not be returning."
