"Amazing little place on the waterfront! It was pretty quiet when I went for lunch last week, the waiter was super polite and very helpful. Great relaxing atmosphere and amazing sushi! Got a Double Shrimp Roll with a side of Alaska Rolls, they both came served on one big plate which is a plus from me, typically being annoyed with all the little separate plates when I get more than one sushi order. Everything about the sushi was delicious and very well made, typically sushi can be a little too sweet or the sauces overdone but these were balanced perfectly. Felt amazing leaving afterward and will definitely be returning soon!"

Kobe, situated beside Lucky's, is an excellent Japanese restaurant serving incredibly tasty Japanese dishes and a diverse selection of sushi rolls. It is the top spot for Japanese cuisine in San Mateo, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend Kobe as it has quickly become one of my favorite new dining destinations.

The server was knowledgeable and always had a smile on her face. We ordered shrimp and tempura dinner that came with rice, salad and Miso soup. It was too oily for me, but the cripple was great and quite a lot of vegetables. Chicken catsu was brilliant and also came with salad and soup. Much of it. We ordered spicy tuna reel (my little favorite), King Kong watch had a good crunch and favorite was Pei's, which had meerrot Hischi and a perfect blend of sweetness from the mango and heat from the Jalapeno. Yum!
