"I haven't had such a disappointing dining experience in quite a while. Despite having a reservation, they had no record of it, even after I showed them the confirmation email. They tried to make us wait at the bar, even though there were several open tables set aside for other reservations that were over 15 minutes late. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and the staff seemed poorly trained. It took a long time for us to be acknowledged, and when we finally were, the server couldn't tell us which dishes were vegan or vegetarian; all they mentioned was that the ramen "came in a bag." We noticed a few rosés on the wine list, but we were served "the only pink wine I could find." Some of the food was decent (like the fried chicken and veggie tempura), while other dishes were barely edible (such as the scallion pancake). On top of everything, our food took so long to arrive that we almost missed our show."

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a modern vibe. The dinner menu features upscale Korean cuisine, but I wish they offered some of the Hawaiian dishes available during breakfast and lunch hours.

The front desk had no clue we made a reservation so there seems to be a bit of a disconnect. Fortunately it wasn't busy and we were able to get a table. Service was slow but we were there to connect with friends and weren't in too much of a hurry. Overall a mediocre experience. View menu

INCREDIBLE, authentic Korean-style food and drinks. Very impressed. Location is central to Downtown PDX and attached to a hotel. Brightly lit (great for dark, rainy PDX days). Each dish came out hot, fresh, and quality ingredients. Worth going since Korean spots are hard to find in central PDX.

We were met and greeted promptly. the restaurant was less than half-full on a Christmas weekend Friday night. The server appeared after we were seated and took our drink orders. The Martini I would not order again. the appetizers and entrees were excellent and the prices fair. We found street parking a block away.

Excellent korean fusion food. The beef hot pot and two appetizers was good for 3 adults. The cocktail that I had (margarita) was below average. Good flavor but about 75% ice in a odd glass than did not seem to fit a margarita...more like glass for a mai tai. Good beer selection. Good location for events at the Schnitzer Auditorium or PSU. The service was disappointing. Our group of four ordered cocktails and water as soon as we sat down, followed by appetizers and entrees. Unfortunately, the appetizers arrived at the same time as the entrees, and we still hadn't received our cocktails or water. The server mentioned that the bartender was overwhelmed, but it didn't seem particularly busy. We had to request water multiple times. It's a letdown, especially since this is one of the few restaurants near Keller.

Beast Mode/Lynch is my favorite Seahawk of all time!!! Watching him play got me pumped up to get through school at UW, but I'm from OR!!! We've been wanting to go here since we heard it was opening. The Korean/Hawaiian Island fusion food was truly great! Warning... the seafood cakes were crazy spicy! Service was decent throughout the meal... initially it was slow, then got busier, but they still worked together to make sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend the bulgogi, and POG cheesecake, with Local boy as a close second cheesecake. Drinks were high quality and not too sweet/syrupy!

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
