"I ate here at lunch time. I was the third table to come in and sit, with two servers working. Initially, service was great, I was greeted and my drink order was placed. I was given ample time to look over the menu and the server was good at answering any questions I had, I placed my order and waited. My server brought out the onion soup that I ordered, which was barely heated, bordering on cold. Then I proceeded to wait 30 minutes for my food to come out, with 2 servers working and being the 3rd person seated. I ordered a sushi roll, teriyaki chicken with white rice. By the time I received my food, 4 other tables had been sat and received their soup/salads/drinks. When I went to eat the food I had been waiting for, I found the rice and the chicken were both cold. The sushi was the only pleasant part of the dish. I told my server about this problem and was offered another bowl of rice to compensate for the rice being cold but nothing was done about the chicken. When I asked what happened I was told that the plate had been brought from the back to the sushi station to wait for the sushi to be made which is why my food came to me cold. I do not like to complain about food or the service and typically I chalk bad experiences up to someone having a bad day but this was exceptionally difficult to do considering this was my first experience at this establishment. I enjoyed the sushi very much and it was extremely tasteful. I just would have liked the food that was suppose to be hot to be hot."

It seems that they don't follow through when it comes to applying the results for the tables. I have an hour available. Thank you, and please ensure that they make the call.

This place has a great deal for lunch time $10 for 4 items. The sushi comes in huge portions and taste amazing. I had a pork katsu which is similar to fried pork and it tasted very good. It took a little longer than I wanted so that was a little minus but the food was awesome! The picture is one of the items I bought View menu

Relatively filling food, healthy and not expensive. The quality of the fish might not the highest... Went there on Wednesday, we were the only table in the restaurant and it feels totally fine. The vibe is great, chill music, lots of screens playing any sort of channel and the team doing their job. We had middle of the week deal $10 for 2 appetizers 2 sushi rolls for a person, and we were very full and satisfy after.

Probably the best sushi place in Gainesville period. The portions are great, and the variety is fantastic. However, eating in is a different story, it's a lot louder than most restaurants because it also serves as a nighttime bar. A lot of people in the bar also tend to get really rowdy in there. Oh there is the plus of being able to change the jukebox from your phone. A lot of funny moments can happen when you are in control of it.

I usually eat here for their lunch special, but there normal menu is also pretty good too. I would reccomend coming. For their lunch special, they include 2 dishes and 2 sides for just $10 and that can fill your stomach easily. It's a combination of Japanese fusion and sushi. I really liked their Tatu Steak and would reccomend their Seafood noodle soup. Overall, the atmosphere of the place provides for a subtle and dark place, great for going on dates. View menu

after the scandal, many customers were very disappointed about tatu so ceased to go for a past. after the recent change of property, the restaurant seemed to be good with the newly renovated hall and bars. their service has significantly better, as well as its speed. you lunch is a lot! felix is an excellent server and my friends and I am always happy to see him. the only disadvantage is when they are sitting at the tables in front of the toilets trying to avoid sitting close to them, as it can cause them unwanted fragrant when enjoying their food.

I will generally not eat sushi when I am out of town because I am always disappointed, this place has excellent sushi. we talked to the chef who grew up in japan, he was really in the technique and preparation of his sushi. he took care of the rice, a good sign for a sushi place, he also stressed knife work. the quality of the seafood itself was also pointed notch. they had fresh uni on the hand and it was brilliant, he put a hauch of wasabi underneath and it was a pleasant surprise. I was in japan and while I'm not an expert, the concern and the thought that here went to sushi very similar to what we experienced in japan is to find this very difficult in the states with their standard sushi...
