"I am so torn with Earls. I've been eating with this chain for easily 25 years. It's probably more but I don't need to feel that old.Food: Decent/Good. Listen, the food has always been pretty good and fairly consistent, but they have gotten so over priced. I typically only eat off the feature menu, simply because its a break from the same old stuff. The feature menu usually has lovely little meals and treats. I just find there are other restaurants that do similar food better and at better pricing, or where the high price makes sense because the quality is that noticeable.Service: Lackluster. There is absolutely a difference between Pre/Post Covid. It seems like there is really high turnover here and always overstaffed. When we sit in the lounge, we see 3-5 girls just standing around and visiting behind/in front of the bar, I hear all the gossip or complaining for extended periods of time all while waiting to get service. I've seen the staff just saunter around with nothing to do. I remember going in and seeing the staff being busy, not this. Even though the server is nice at the table, and they do a decent job, I have not remembered a servers name after leaving because not only not memorable for positive, they likely wont be working there in 3 months.Atmosphere: Still one of my favorite lounges around. I've always liked the set up and the space.I don't mean to sound too harsh in the review, because there really isn't much too negative, I just think that it is a blend in to the background place now. Predictable, over priced, high turnover... The food is at least good, just wish this location was as good as some of the others."

"Did Kuro Shiro love, and they were my place for Ramen in New Haven. The vegan tantans are delicious. They make a cashew broth and it is so rich, creamy and nutty (combined with sesame). The vegan spicy fog lacks in taste, it is very easy. I wanted to try the vegan Shioyumen sometime, but I won't go back. My friend went with his friends to eat there and brought me the vegan tantanms home for dinner. It was late when he came home, so I saved it for the day after. I immediately saw that my tofu was blue and squirting (and the noodles where the tofu touched). It was incredibly disappointing and disappointing, as this was freshened the day before. I called her and the guy who was picked up was extremely rude, dismissed and discouraging. I pointed out to offer any compensation and insisted that I had to go there with a reception and it would not look in the system, would not accept a bank statement of the bill, or even a photo of the receipt. When my friend went with friends, his friend in Naugatuck paid the bill and had the physical reception (we are in Ansonia). To get ANY compensation (if this) they told us to drive to Naugatuck to get the reception (20 min), then drive to New Haven (45 min), then drive home (30 min). The guy on the phone always fought with me, didn't let me talk to his boss, always told me that his boss was too busy to talk to me and hanged on me. I tried to call back just so he could hang me up without a word. I didn't go back and just made a new batch of noodles at home because the broth was packed separately from the rams and tofu. 2 stars because it is great, they have vegan options."
