"Great food don’t get me wrong. HORRIBLE and I repeat HORRIBLE management. They’re rude, dismiss you before you can even finish a sentence, yell “NEVER!!!” At you when you ask if they can bring you a box… thought it was a never at jokeFirst but followed by the next couple seconds he was serious. Specifically the two men at the bar who are in charge of the pickup orders, very rude to the last two delivery drivers who came in and ask for an order. They’re not even busy they have 2 tables with less that 3 people each. Waited ONE HOUR for ONE serving of butter chicken."

"Super yummy food! I got the butter chicken and my partner got the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. I really enjoyed the butter chicken and the sauce blended very well with the chicken inside. The garlic naan was also well-seasoned and crispy. They had very generous portions and gave lots of rice. We had lots of leftovers and one meal was able to last us for both lunch and dinner. The service was also excellent. The waiter was very kind. My partner and I were struggling to put the orders in the to-go containers and the person that took our order put on gloves and came to help us. The ambiance of the restaurant gives off family owned business as well as casual. It's a great place if you're looking for comfort food in a comfortable environment."

"Edit Update 7/2019 BAD MANAGEMENT! THIS IS WRONG. I've been a patron for over 10 years. Today was my last visit. I was told by the cashier that I couldn't eat the food I wanted from the buffet and I needed to fill up my plate with rice first. My money, to pay for a buffet I've been getting for over 10 years, and I have have been instructed in how and what I must eat as a paying customer, even if I can't/don't want to. Good job curry house. You lost me and my co workers whom I used to take with me to lunch. Super expensive and small quantities if you order of the menu. Go for the buffet. The lunch buffet is ok value and the options are good. They always have naan and Tikka Masala. A favorite lunchtime meal for eating in or even taken away."

"Great flavor spice, which is kind of the point of Indian food. Spicy where it should be (if you know what spices are used, you can definitely spot them on your palate , well prepared meat (tender and juicy as well as good portions. The Saag was amazing with lamb, as well as the Khumba (at medium spice it was a warm heat level . The Naan was okay, could be a bit more flavorful (salt? , however it was still good. I 'll definitely coming back when I 'm nearby."

"**Cleanliness:** The restaurant was immaculate! The front counter and kitchen area were spotless. The kitchen is quite spacious, and I believe it shines during daytime service. **Seating Area:** There isn’t any seating by the counter, but they do have a nice enclosed patio that I assume is open for daytime dining. **Ordering:** It was straightforward! The menu offers many options. **Food:** Unfortunately, this is where it fell short for me. The flavor of the food was less intense than I expected. I can’t tell if it was due to a lack of spices or a different recipe than what I’m used to. On the bright side, you can watch your order being prepared, as the kitchen is surrounded by glass panels. **Service:** I would give service 4 stars. Even though they were starting to close down soon after I placed my order, the entire team worked together efficiently to prepare it quickly. Their teamwork was commendable. I plan to visit again to see if my assessment needs to be revised. One note: parking can be tricky during business hours since the restaurant is located on a narrow street with limited parking."

"My wife and I frequent this restaurant mostly for takeout orders. They have a website where we can easily place our orders online. The food is delicious, with ample portions of rice that are also tasty, and the service is exceptional. We have dined in at the restaurant many times and have even invited friends who have enjoyed it as well. It is conveniently located near where we live, making it easy for us to order takeout. They also have a decent bar with a selection of craft beers and spirits. Additionally, they offer a vegetarian menu. (Dennis Cindy)"

"Came in for a weekday lunch. Very Bright and inviting inside. The one gentleman working that day was very welcoming and attentive. I tried the Lamb Kabob plate and a Mango Lassi. The Lamb Kabobs were juicy and delicious. Grilled perfectly. The fragrant rice that accompanied it was equally good. The cucumber sauce and mint sauces were a wonderful addition to the dish. The mango lassi was smooth and very refreshing with a lovely mango flavor. With excellent friendly service and great food, I will certainly be back in the future."

"Zayka had a nice atmosphere and good beers on tap for $3.50 including some local breweries. The staff were very knowledgable and recommended the roti instead of naan since the naan had milk products. The green chutney that was the papadum had a nice kick. My boyfriend and I ordered the bindi masala (okra dish) and baingan bhartha (eggplant dish). I have had bindi masala other places and I really enjoyed the one from here. It was robust with flavor, the okra had a nice texture, the onions were sweet. The fenugreek leaves elevated the flavors of the bindi masala. The baingan bharta was rich and creamy. We both ordered a medium level. I'd say the medium was more of 3.5 spice level out of 5. I have had my fair share of Indian food and this place is not lacking in the flavor and spices department. The online menu for Zayka clearly lists which dishes are vegan while the menu in the restaurant doesn't indicate it. They just have the vegetarian and the vegan dishes in the same section. The vegan dishes are: chana masala, aloo gobhi, mushroom broccoli karahi, vegetable vindaloo, dal tadka, baingan bharta, bindi masala, vegetable mango."

"January 2025 Edit MINUS 3 STARS DONT TELL JOB SEEKERS YOU WILL REACH OUT IF YOU DONT INTEND TO. YOU LOST A CUSTOMER BECAUSE OF THE SLIGHT. Bombay is hands down the best Indian food in town! The korma, pakora, fried chilis, gulab jamun, goat curry, aloo cabbage, mushroom matar, and their rice pudding and lassi are unforgettable, solidifying a place in my heart. Though the buffet closed post-COVID, and cost vs. portion size makes it hard for me to frequent, it still stands out above Kebab and Curry. While I’ve only been once since the change, I’ve been many times in the past and still cherish the memories of eating my feelings there during tough times. The venue itself is vibrant, with a beautiful exterior paint and sitar that make it pop! I miss the owner and Summer at the register—always so kind and welcoming. ️ If I were more financially stable, I'd gladly become a semi-regular again. Consider adding visuals of the dishes on the menu or online to boost engagement! Wishing you continued success for many years to come. You deserve it!"

"Oh my god i literally can’t tell you how much I love this place. Growing up Pakistani, i actually never really liked indian/pakistani food that much, and i always say that if i wasn’t born into the culture I probably wouldn’t be eating our food BUT THAT LITERALLY CHANGED AFTER COMING TO THIS RESTAURANT. Calling the food amazing is an understatement and injustice to the flavor and love that is poured into each dish. Speaking of love, the owners are some of the sweetest people ever and never fail to make me and other customers feel important and taken care of.As for the food i don’t even know where to begin. Everything is cooked to perfection, both vegetarian and meat dishes, and they offer a customizable spice scale that allows you to control how spicy you want your food. Everything in the kitchen is made right then and there, including their naans which you can’t come here without getting. If you want to leave this Earth and go to heaven for a second, try their garlic cheese naan. They serve pakoras (a friend vegetable type situation) as a free appetizer and they are perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. Every time I come here, I make sure to get the chilli chicken, chicken malai kebab, and some sort of paneer dish. All dishes made me fall in love with south asian cuisine all over again. Also, all their food has minimal oil which is rare in our cuisine and a huge plus. Again, their spices, flavor authenticity, and freshness are top tier and I don’t think I’ll find another restaurant around here that’ll top them. Prices are super reasonable too and most dishes come with rice. Portions size can be small sometimes but the food is super filling and worth it. I never want to leave philly because of this restaurant. Everyone I’ve taken here loves it and I know whoever reads this will enjoy it too!"

"Excellent ! We loved the food and the drinks! Innovative and interesting menu and the dishes are as tasty as they sound. Four of us shared a sampler appetizer plate, Mantoo, A vegetarian plate, and Beef Kofta kabob with saffron rice. The portions were ample, but not huge, and had distinctive, well balanced flavors. We will be back!"

"Starting from the food to customer service everything was absolutely top-notch. It was an incredible experience ordering from Bar BQ Village and I would order more in the coming days. I placed a catering order with them and Mr. Hassan Kitabi and his father helped out with everything. They are some exceptionally great people and would love to help their business out more. I would highly recommend everyone to try out their Grill Items and Kebabs. Specially their Chicken Charga, Chicken Biryani, Bihari Kabab, and many more. The Bar BQ Platter they offer is the perfect deal for me. The prices are very good and the food is AMAAAZING MashaAllah. I wish you guys the very best and hope you guys continue making outstanding food for our community. Thank you so much!"

"Both the owner and staff were knowledgeable and accommodating toward vegan diners. Vegan dishes are clearly marked in menu and the owner told me he could make a few others with coconut milk if we ordered them. Naan bread isn’t vegan but they had another whole wheat flat bread that I really enjoyed...plus I get a check mark for whole grain on my “Daily Dozen” app. We adjusted our spicy numbers down based on other reviewers experiences. It was still spicier than expected for number 1 and 2. The number 2 I ordered would be about a 4 at most other Indian restaurants."

"Very kind staff. We loved the fact that the naan bread was made fresh on order. We don’t like to waste food so our server allowed us to take home the unfinished portion of our naan bread. The variety of food was plentiful and we appreciated the generous vegetarian/vegan options for my husband. We wish we would have frequented the restaurant more instead of experiencing it on our last day in town. We will definitely be back! Thank you!"

"- I love this place lives near when it first opened and ordered a lot of good meals. tonight was hearty. first they forgot one of my articles; a order of kebab style wing. I called them up, it seemed like they somehow missed it, they cooked it up and it came in my house like 40 minutes after the original delivery. not ideal, but I would be happy to see the other one away. if not. - the paneer tikka Masala part was tiny. 6 pieces with a bite size. that's $3 per piece more distributed. - the wings they sent to my house were $11.50), they were tiny, almost weightless in the packaging. And the two apartments were raw. hard pink through. that was the last stray. this meal, including tipps hell yes I tipped the guy who brought the tiny wings, was over $80. They should not be hungry by tiny portions or worry about being sick, biting in raw food when they fall this type of skorilla. nothing ugly wrong with the Chole feature. two stars, set to inflation. here hopes that they get their act together, but that is in the rule the point, no return. throw that towel before they start."
