"This is the best place to eat near the Rutgers campus and Easton Avenue! The food is fantastic—fresh and delicious. The owners and staff are always friendly, and the prices are reasonable for such authentic cuisine. You really can't ask for more. I highly recommend the Gyro Sandwich; it’s not too gamey at all. The Sutlac is amazing—trust me, you have to try it! And don’t forget the baklava; those little pastries are delightful! Everything here is so healthy, too!"

"The best thing about Masal is sitting outside they have tons of outdoor seating especially since they've opened Masal Plus down the street from the original location on a sunny afternoon. Great vibe. Excellent people watching! The food is okay. We had the Turkish breakfast which was much better the last time we ate at the original location. This time it seemed skimpy. The toast tasted old like it had been toasted and then re toasted. I asked for and got some much fresher warm bread that was good. The salad was fine. We ordered a cheese and pastrami pide that they forgot to cook. We had to wait for them to cook finally cook it so wet could take it home. I had a lemonana which came only half full and completely melted not slushy as described. The flavor was good, but for $7.00 for a drink of minty lemonade I expect better."

"We decided to order takeout through DoorDash and pick up our food in person. The food was ready on time and everything went smoothly. However, the food quality was surprisingly low. In addition, the package was leaking oil due to the poor packing. I personally ordered chicken sauté, and my friend ordered lentil soup along with a lamb dish. Since our order exceeded $15, we received a free Revani. The chicken was extremely salty and greasy, while my friend found the lamb to be dry. The only item that met our expectations was the lentil soup, so I'm giving it two stars. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but we were highly dissatisfied with the food quality. In the future, I might give this restaurant another try, but until then, my negative review will stand."

It was mostly crowded. The inside is cute and unfortunately my good experience kinda stops there.It has a fishy smell like not a good fishy smell. The entrees came out maaaaybe 6 mins after we received three apps, just poor timing and a lot of food on a small table.The food was not hot…at all, as in barely warm. My asparagus was inedible just fried to a crisp. When I bit into my vegetables, something sharp like a piece of plastic was in there, I spit it out and did not take another bite. When the waitress came by to clear our plates, she didn’t even ask if anything was wrong w my food given I took one bite. Super disappointed."

"Very crowded on a weekend evening. Had to wait several minutes to even speak to the server. And another 20 minutes for a table but got lucky as we only needed a small table. I think this is a great place for non vegetarians not so much for vegetariansor vegans. They were out of falafel which only left a dish of few grilled veggies for me to have for my meal. However theappetizers were excellent I forget their names but the zucchini fritters and the cheese rolls were good. You?ll enjoy the paceif you like a lively ambience this crowd was very talkative and gave the restaurant a very homely feel."

"The food here was really good and made fresh to order. They’re very generous with requests; bread, sauces, and water are all complimentary, which is such a nice touch. They even offer complimentary tea, not just for customers but also for food delivery drivers, which really shows their hospitality. Armalindo was especially sweet and helpful, making the experience even better. Prices were very reasonable, and I’d definitely recommend this spot! "I entered the restaurant with skepticism, comparing it to a street vendor in midtown Manhattan. Despite the door not shutting and the cold weather outside, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the food. I had ordered the Falafel for less than 6 dollars and was so impressed by the taste and size that I went back for another one within a block. The sandwich was so delicious that it could easily be sold for double the price at a gourmet restaurant. This was the best Falafel I have ever had, despite the chilly atmosphere in the restaurant."
