"This was my first time ordering from this restaurant since I recently moved to the area. I was very impressed with the food. The zucchini pancakes were delicious and cooked perfectly. Although the lamb burger wasn't amazing, they followed my instructions exactly - no cheese and well-done meat. I appreciate their attention to detail. The order arrived on time, within an hour. I had asked the delivery person to leave the food with the concierge in the lobby to avoid bothering them, but he still came up to my apartment and politely knocked on my door twice when I didn't hear him the first time. I give them 5 stars for their efforts to go above and beyond."

"Doner kebab wrap for lunch. Meat was very dry, chewy, with little seasoning. Wrap and fries were extremely greasy; oil dripping out of the wrap when I picked it up to take a bite. They are definitely not using olive oil; looks and tastes like old school Wesson cooking oil. Even my dog wouldn't eat the fries. Very expensive (this is a common street food, not a $24 lunch). To top it off, it was served with ranch dressing, instead of yogurt sauce. This is a dish that every Turkish restaurant or food cart should have perfected, but this was the worst I've ever had. Quality of the restaurant was excellent at one time, but is now substandard and overpriced. I'll make it at home next time."

"I recently dined at Hummus with my team for dinner. The restaurant had a very nice decor and atmosphere. Our group of five found a suitable table, but I wouldn't recommend it for larger groups. We ordered at the counter and received our food quickly. We started with a sampler platter as an appetizer, which included 3 falafels and various dips. There was an abundance of dips in comparison to the falafels, but they were tasty and great for pairing with our main dishes. We also enjoyed some delicious tea to warm up on the cold night. I ordered the chicken kebab plate, which came with two skewers of chicken, salad, tzatziki, pita, and plain rice. It was filling and tasty, especially when paired with the dips from the sampler platter. Overall, everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Parking was easy to find on a weekday night, right in front of the restaurant. The cashier was also friendly."

"We ordered the brandino and the mixed grill. Food was really good. We had the kunafe (didn’t take a pic) for dessert, not the best we’ve had, especially for the price, but the food was on point. The service was really good too, our server offered to have the fish cut for us so that we didn’t have to deal with the bones, which I thought was a great option. Would definitely come again."

"We visit this restaurant at least 3-4 times a year because we have a large family and we love their food. However, our experience this time was disappointing. I've never been treated like this before; I had to ask the waitress multiple times to take our order, even though she was just standing around. The bread, which is usually amazing, was cold today. When I requested fresh bread instead, she completely ignored me. We also asked for water, but it took a long time to receive it. The food took a long time to arrive as well. Normally, I recommend this place to all my friends, but the service today was terrible and we felt largely ignored. I'm really upset about what happened."

"This restaurant as a whole is literally the best I’ve ever encountered. Truly I will be coming back often. The food was incredible. The menu had a bunch of options to choose from which brings me to the astounding service. The waiter was so kind and I could tell that he works very hard to wait each individual table. And yet with all that pressure he still has a smile on his face which I appreciated. He gave me the time I needed to order my food which I ended up picking the lamb gyro sandwich, hummus and a kanefeh for my dessert and I really recommend those foods. The pita was phenomenal, I’ve never tasted anything like it. To top it off, the atmosphere was great and I will for sure be coming back again!"

"I've eaten here a few times, half of them when a Groupon was offered. The food here is pretty good. Authentic flavors, decent sized portions, and fair prices. I have never had to wait to be seated, but I've always dined in the late afternoon to evening. Customer service here has been consistently good, no wait for refills and no problems using the Groupon coupons I've shown up with. As far as Mediterranean food goes in San Antonio, this is a pretty decent place to eat if your in the area. The restaurant is located in a shopping center just across from the mall and makes a decent place to eat if your not wanting to dine in the food court. My favorite items to order here are the Doner Kabab and the Kofte Kebab, both of which are excellent and have good flavor. If your new to Mediterranean food I highly recommend trying these items as they vary in flavor from place to place, but this restaurant has some that are pretty good. I will be returning to dine again. Food Quality 8/10 Price 7/10 Location 9/10 Customer Service 8/10"

"This restaurant is a fantastic place for dinner during the week. I tried the Turkish wine, lamb chops, and stuffed cabbage, and everything was delicious and well-seasoned. The sesame flatbread served at each table was piping hot and one of my favorite dishes in the neighborhood. And to top it off, a $10 glass of wine? Everything was a win in my book."

"This is the third sit down meal here. I love the environment, the location, the friendly and quick service. I was not so crazy for the food the first two times but an in between delivery of the kebabs at home made me want to give it another try. The Turkish drinks and that special bread got the prizes again. I decided to get something that I had not tried before which was Iskender Kebob. It was very edible specially the grilled peppers and tomatoes and the crunchy bread. The lentil soup was good too. My friends did not like the doner kebab. It was try and flavorless until they borrowed sour cream from me and put lots of salt and pepper to add the flavor. The salad was good and it helped to compromise. My other friend could not eat the chicken kofte . She found it smelled of egg. She enjoyed the salad and the bread and did not complain. I tried eating the koftes from the doggy bags later and yes, they were not cooked through and certainly smelled raw. My other friend ate the rest of the doner kebab at home for dinner with hot sauce and mango salsa to compensate for the lack of flavor and dryness. Over all the dining experience was pleasant because of the drinks, bread, soup,salad, environment and service but the food ,unfortunately would not be something we would come back for."

"Oh my gosh! I was on my way to get a friend at the airport. I stopped by just to kill time and I can definitely say that I will be stopping by every time I’m in the area. The taste is very unique and the portions are more than enough to fill 2 people even though it’s stated as a single dish for 1 person. The look of the place makes you feel right in spot with the culture. My wife is going to be mad at me for going without her but I know I can make it up to her when I make it a date night go to. So 5 stars is what I give because I been to many places where I tried authentic food and this would be one I considered authentic."

"The food was quite good. I had never tried falafel before, and I found it enjoyable. It was accompanied by hummus and a tomato sauce, both of which were flavorful and well-seasoned, although the tomato sauce appeared a bit stale. We also ordered an Alfredo chicken pizza, which was likely the highlight of our meal. Unfortunately, the baklava was disappointing; it was stale and too crunchy. On a positive note, the service was excellent. The woman who took my order was friendly, and the food arrived quickly! I would recommend this place if you’re in search of a quick and satisfying meal."

"It had been a few years since we were in Zocalo, but it was as good as we remembered it to be. There were still some favorites on the menu, but also some new dishes, and they didn't disappoint. This is the only menu among many in Charlottesville that is really different and exciting. I had the duck breast cooked perfectly and accompanied by a great sauce, braised chard and an onion manchego bread pudding, and my wife loved her salmon. My starter, the tuna tartar, was too heavenly and had a healthy kick. Highly recommended!"

"I visited this restaurant for dinner and noticed that not many tables were occupied. I shared a gyro plate and hot eggplant. The complimentary bread was wonderfully soft and chewy, and the olive oil served with it was flavorful and delicious. Our food arrived quickly; the gyro was very tender and unlike any I’ve had before. However, the hot eggplant dish, which was essentially a warm version of babaganoush, didn’t stand out to me. Considering the portions and overall quality of the food, I found the prices a bit steep, totaling around $40 after tax."

"I recently moved from Virginia and decided to try Turkish Lazuri Cafe based on the many recommendations I received. I must say, it was absolutely delicious and as clean as advertised. The waitstaff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The service was impressively quick; we weren’t kept waiting at all, and everything was served fresh and hot. We tried both the Lahmacun and the Adana kebab, which were crispy and flavorful—truly reminiscent of authentic Turkish cuisine. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the menu boasted a wide variety of options that I thoroughly enjoyed. The prices were reasonable given the quality of the food. Thank you for the excellent service; I highly recommend giving this place a try!"

"This is the best Mediterranean/Turkish food is Suffolk (and quite possibly entire long island). Our family take out and dine in here for almost 20 years. The food has been consistently amazing. Their chicken kebab and lamb kebab taste so good, so is their salad with their chicken. Over time we have tasted their cold and hot appetizers hummus, baba ganoush, cheese rolls and spinach pie are our favorite. A very fast and friendly service, reasonable prices and a cozy atmosphere, you will not regret trying."

"The only 2 things that caught my eye were a few and I mean 2 gnats flying by our food and the men's bathroom reminded me of a Turkish style bath but for kids, since the toilet and urinal were so low to the ground. Basically lots of space in the men's bathroom to upgrade that bathroom to the way it should be in today's times. It should also be cleaned a lot better around the exterior floor of the toilet. Again. I was nitpicking here since everything else was great and I wanted to find something to complain about, or should I say give positive reinforcements on! Wishing you a Shana Tova Umetukah and of course Gmar Chatimah Tova too!!! Vegetarian options: Plenty available since it's a Mediterranean restaurant after all. Parking: Street parking which is free if you find a spot which we did at around 720pm for our 730pm reservation."

"We had a fabulous lunch at Cafe Istanbul! The food was scrumptious and the patio seating was delightful!!! I had the chicken kabob and my friend had lamb kabob accompanied with basmati rice and salad. We also had tabouleh appetizer. Dessert was baklava and I followed it all with a fabulous cocktail Aegean Breeze! We spent the afternoon dining al fresco on a beautiful covered patio landscaped with flowing flowers and vines surrounding the seating area. The newly improved patio certainly has elevated Cafe Istanbul to the status of one of my favorite patios for dining in the Columbus!"
