"We were excited to see that Morton Grove planned to expand and add more dining space. However, when we stopped by recently, we noticed that not only were the few tables missing (and they have been for some time), but there were signs indicating we couldn't use the dining counter. We were also told we couldn't access the freezer for frozen empanadas to take home. The place was cluttered with supplies, and there were numerous signs saying, "Do Not Touch" and "Employees Only." Overall, we didn't feel welcome at all, even though we were there to spend our money. We likely would have purchased more, but the unwelcoming atmosphere really put us off. It's disappointing to see such a stark contrast from when this place first opened."

"This is my second experience ordering from Reid's, and I was really let down during this visit. I tried the Nashville chicken biscuit, coconut pineapple cake, and a vanilla oatmeal latte. The latte was quite good and arrived quickly, but the rest of the items took an unnecessarily long time to come out, despite the restaurant not being busy. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked, and both the breading and biscuit crumbled apart with just one bite. There was no real heat to the Nashville hot chicken, aside from its temperature. The grits were creamy and well-prepared, but they were a bit too salty for my taste. As for the coconut pineapple cake, it lacked any coconut flavor. I've had this cake before, so I know how it should taste, and this was not it. While the cake itself was decent, the absence of coconut and the underwhelming flavor made it disappointing. Will I return? Maybe, but I think I'll stick to just coffee and a pastry next time."

"My go-to is usually their fully loaded nacho fries. $9 for a big box of waffle fries topped with lots of meat, cheese, guac, onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, sour cream, olives. Not the healthiest option, but such a huge portion to fill you up. Decided to try something else this time. Ordered their fried chicken burger and it was better than I expected. I might be wrong but the top of the bun had a buttery garlic taste which kept me wanting to eat more. It was such a great combo. Not too dry. I loved everything about it. "My wife and I picked up some falafels to go for lunch and then went to Pond Farm brewery to enjoy them over beer. I had the deluxe and she had the rule. We both ordered us as an extra with Tahini. The deluxe has an eggplant and potato on it. Everything tasted super, fresh and we are prepared. It wasn't too crowded and we got our food pretty fast. The only thing was that the potato on the Deluxe Falafel proved to be a steak horse, tasted just a little strange. Very recommended."

"On the other hand, the food was just okay. It tasted fine, but we had to wait about 50 minutes to receive our order, and they didn’t offer any compensation for that delay. We nearly decided to leave. The food itself wasn’t anything special, and the long wait was a bit frustrating. However, the service and drinks were excellent. The staff acknowledged the slow service and apologized, which seemed reasonable since they are primarily a bar, not a full-service restaurant. The ideal scenario would be to visit, enjoy a Bloody Mary, grab some curry fries, and unwind. That’s definitely something I plan to do regularly, and I encourage you to do the same—focus on the drinks and a light snack instead of a full meal. "This unassuming small town bakery has all the conscious delicacies of any hip-city cafe. Half of the sandwich menu is vegan with delectable gluten free bread that is reminiscent of a scone/biscuit. The jalapeño cheddar was mouth watering. The coconut bacon sandwich was just the right amount of crispy and smoky. The vegan veggie was well balanced with pickles, tomatoes, vegan pepper Jack, lettuce and avocado. Also, the bakery has a wide array of vegan, keto, gluten-free options. I recommend the vegan oatmeal cookie. We were in this bakery the day before thanksgiving and saw numerous people caring out pies."

The Buttermilk Fried Chicken came with a delightful medium-spiced sauce, and the coleslaw, tomato, and lettuce added a refreshing crunch. The Margherita pizza had a flavor reminiscent of a baked Caprese, which was both surprising and satisfying. The Kale salad was dressed just right, and although the chicken was slightly overcooked, it still paired well with the dish. Lastly, the Cheese was nearly perfect, featuring a slightly sweet crust and a flavorful, straightforward blend of cheeses, all complemented by a lightly flavored yet chunky tomato sauce. "Amazing. We have had Poke before but not like this. Clean, large portions, great price, fresh ingredients. We had friends over for dinner on Saturday. We all were blown away. We, GF and I, ordered again on Monday because it was almost addictive. BEYOND THAT... Raven, the staff member that we dealt with on both occasions. Friendly, professional, adorably personable. "The place seems pretty new or at least maybe the workers were new. Staff just seemed a bit unaware but we all have first employments so I wasn't so stringent on that. However I think the owner or the manager there seemed to give them instructions. The food was less than what I expected it to be. It's like a fast food Korean place but catered to non Koreans. That's the best way for me to say this. Even the kim che selection of radish and jalapeño was like Japanese more than anything Korean. The place was organized and neat. For the most part the amount of food to the price was decent, it just wasn't what I consider Korean. I did however get the fresh vegetables that my body was looking for. It's a good college eatery but I just wouldn't say it's the authentic Korean flare. It's decent, don't get me wrong and for most taste buds that cannot handle Korean heat, then this is excellent. "I am very disappointed with the delivery service from Pokeworks. I have ordered from them before and always enjoyed the food without any issues with delivery. However, on this occasion, my order was cancelled with no explanation. I wish someone had contacted me to explain the situation, as I had valid reasons for ordering food on a Sunday night. Unfortunately, I was left without food and without other options as other restaurants were closing. When a delivery cannot be fulfilled, it would be helpful for the restaurant to provide reasons to customers. Despite calling the restaurant for a refund and receiving an apology from the manager, I never received the promised free bowl.
