"This restaurant started as a food cart in Queens, which they still operate, and it’s just the two of them managing both locations. For many years, Osman and Abdul worked 6 to 7 days a week, each running their own spot. Thanks to their hard work and God's blessings, they have now been able to hire new staff, who have also been a joy to get to know.
I’ve learned all of this from just a few conversations with the fantastic folks running the place. I look forward to seeing them nearly as much as I look forward to enjoying my combo platter over rice with a generous drizzle of Zaiqa sauce. The extra five minutes you might spend waiting here for consistently tasty and affordable halal food, as opposed to a typical chain restaurant, are truly worth it.
