Now, let’s talk about the food. We shared some appetizers, including the lentil and spinach sambusas, as well as the Addis shrimp kitfo. I was nearly in bliss with every bite! The flavors were rich, bold, and invigorating. Honestly, I could have feasted solely on the appetizers, but I knew I had to save room for the main course.
I ordered the Mar Mitmita Shrimp, served with injera and a side of yellow split peas. It was pure heaven! I can still taste it as I write. The combination of spices, the sweetness from the honey, and the succulent shrimp paired with the comforting split peas created a truly divine experience. I promised myself that I’d return for more (you hear that, Robert?).
