"There are several entrances, we didn't know about the side entrance so we parked on the street and went in the front. We were there kind of early for dinner so they were not busy at all, however they sat us in a small room up a couple steps next to a very loud family. I understand putting the customers close make it easy on the servers however it made for a very unpleasant dining experience for us. That family asked to be seated on ground level to avoid the older lady with a cane having to navigate the steps but the hostess told them loud enough for us to hear the 2 steps should be ok for her to go up. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and appeared clean. They had a sign up with the soup of the day however that soup was not available the server said they ran out of that earlier. Our server was very nice but not attentive at all. I asked about their wine options to which she said she was sorry she was not old enough to serve alcohol so she was ask a coworker but nerver had anyone come talk to us about it. Our daughter ordered an appitizer and a soup but they were brought out after our meals were served. The dirty salad, bread plates and empty bread basket sat on our table the whole time we ate our entrees. The salad bar was very nice with a wide variety from fruits and vegetables to prepared salads. There was a friendly lady making sure it was kept clean, fresh and full. I would have felt better had she been masked and had on gloves but that was not how she was. I understand masks are not mandatory in Iowa however with Covid being on the rise masks for servers would be a good idea, however none of them wore them. The pasta was very fresh and cooked perfectly, it was fresh hot and very balanced. The soup was warm and ok. The cheese sticks were fresh and house made they were very good, they were hot and had a nice cheese pull, the marinara they were served with was very good and paired well. The chicken was house made, it was hot and crunchy but the crust was very salty. The mashed potatoes and gravy were not good at all, they both appeared to be your average instant so I would suggest maybe sticking to the Italian dishes."

"I dined in this evening with my family and it was my father’s birthday, and I have to say, the food, the atmosphere and the overall service and attentiveness to detail and orientation was beyond my expectation. Firstly I want to shout out the hostess I believe her name was River if I remember correctly. She was so very kind and sweet with explaining our wait and made great conversation with myself and my family. The service we had as I had said was phenomenal. Our server Justin was very, very good. He gave us a clear understanding on any and all of our questions regarding the menu and beyond that made our experience warm and comfortable and welcoming. What really drove me to write this review was the Manager Michael, it seemed as though he was facilitating almost everything. I saw him at the host stand helping seat other individuals, I saw him running food, and also speaking to all the customers. He came to our table and asked how everything was and we proceeded to tell him that it was absolutely fantastic. He then of course made my father’s birthday one to remember, crediting us a desert that was absolutely decadent. Whatever he is doing he is doing it right!! He was so very insightful and even my father wouldn’t stop talking about him even after we left!! He and the other staff made our visit immensely special. So for that I say Thank you!!! We will certainly be back soon."

"Still not 100% sure where I stand with this place. While I would steer clear of their chili and fries, most of their food is really good, so I am squeezing in a 4th star but... DSK can be very confusing. As many have already mentioned, the first thing you see when you enter is a dairy ice cream display, which doesn 't quite align with their unapologetically vegan slogan. I don 't even think they have a single vegan ice cream on that list. The business ' official website is A MESS. The hours are listed differently in different parts of the website, and the links are broken to the point where you can 't even pull up the menu. At this point you are forced to take the online order route, but the problem is that they have multiple online order menus consisting of different items, and I have yet to find one that would actually list their entire menu, drinks included. The only real menu seems to be the one they hand you at the restaurant, but even there they have a random menu on the wall that is full of interesting items they don 't actually offer?.. The cashier always has like 7 daily specials to recite, which, quite frankly, neither party can keep up with. I cannot fathom why they wouldn 't just repurpose their wall for daily specials instead of a pointless list of unavailable things. Another issue I have with them is that the food takes 40+ minutes to prepare, which is pretty much double the wait time they give you over the phone. The few times they promised to bring out the take-out order once it was ready, we just ended up going back in for the nth time to find our order sitting on the counter. Lovely riverside location they don 't take advantage of on Sundays."

"that was my first visit to pepperoni grill. I went by traveling to penn square mall, but I never had a good reason to eat here until my wife and I were invited to attend a family birthday party planned for this place. I was prepared for something that was not much better or worse than olive garden or macaroni grill. that's what we have. the menu was typical of a restaurant that is in competition with olive garden and macaroni grill. there is a secrecy of American Italian favorites (e.g. lasagne, baked ziti, pizza, huhn alfredo), but there are some subtitled dishes that I had never seen. This included a Kobe-Rindkäseburger, lasagna with Wagyu-Rind, and a house salad, which came with a lump slice of goat cheese baked in bread crumbs. a person in our party tried the Kobe-Rindkäseburger. he said it was delicious, but it was too big for him to finish it. I started with the house salad. it came with the above mentioned disc goat cheese. I'm not very important for goat cheese, because it doesn't taste very much, but I think this goat cheese will make every soft cheese lover happy. I ordered balsamico vinagrette dressing to put on my salad. the amount they brought me on the side was only enough to coat the salat ingredients, but not so much that the salat was drowned at the dressur. I couldn't say if they were making their own Balsamico-Vinagrette dress. it was what I expect from this type of dressing, but it was also nothing special. three of us ordered the lasagne that contains wagyu bark. I couldn't taste a difference in bark, but I have a hard time that distinguishes wagyu and cobe meat from regular bark. but the lasagne was some of the best I ever had. I like a sturdy, brightly tasting red soße on lasagne, and the amount that encloses with it was enough for my taste. it was served on a plate that just came out of that, so it remained hot until the last bite. But I didn't have to let the first few bites of it cool before I tried to eat them. there were enough cheese (especially Parmesan cheese) to make it taste cheesy, but the cheese taste didn't overwhelm the others. our server brought out a disc of the flourless chocolate cake to honor the birthday of our family member. it was all I like in this dessert earthy, intense chocolate taste; a texture somewhere between gooey brownies and chocolate mousse; and served slightly cooled. if I had not been so full of the lasagna and salat, I might have done a better job to help other family members to complete it."
