"At this point they owe me some stars! This is by far the worst Caribbean restaurant I've ever had. Almost $100 for 3 orders of pure garbage! I'm convinced that the good reviews were written by their associates. The food looked good and if I could get full off of looking at food awesome but I can't. The Oxtails; I've never seen oxtails this small. I received 5 pieces and only 1 had a small amount of meat on it, the rest was just fat and bones. They smelled like ketchup, taste like sugar and Thyme. The peas and rice taste like they only added coconut milk and nothing else. The steam cabbage with carrots taste like sour water Had we enjoyed the food I still wouldn't return. Almost $100 for 3 orders of food, at any other restaurant the portion would've been considered a small. It's not a coincidence that both orders of oxtails was all bone and fat. All 3 orders went into the trash. I see they mentioned being a small black owned business which I would love to support however, you can't rob the community that you expect to support you. I'm glad to see you pay attention to your feedback. What I find unfortunate is the lack of accountability in your end. Every day will not be a win. Had your response to my review mentioned you may have missed the mark with my order, I would have given it another try thinking I caught you on a bad day. However, you're choosing to deny all negative reviews as though it is impossible to have an off day. The lack of accountability and disregard for my experience just leads me to believe this is not the place for me, my family and my referrals. I too, am in the customer service field by way of hospitality- accountability goes a long way. Run your business how you see fit, I don't see the need to return or refer the guest from my business. Enjoy your day, no love lost wish your business a better future for others."

"Came here for a Friday night dinner. Had a reservation for 6:45 pm and we were there on the dot and promptly seated. We noticed a booth empty and we asked if we could be seated there instead of the table. And the hostess said that only people with reservations had a choice of seating and despite having one we couldn’t be seated there. I really didn’t know what that meant especially because two old women who came right after us were seated in that booth. I found that annoying because how is a first timer supposed to know they have booths that can be specified during reservation. But other than that, our food was very good and service was quick, and attentive. I am kind of in-between about docking off a star but decided not to because we had a good rest of our experience especially by our server. We ordered a hibiscus mimosa, the asparagus cream soup, veggie nachos and a wok seared vegetables. It was a good amount of food for two, but we actually finished off everything between the two of us. The food felt fresh and despite feeling full, didn’t feel bloated or uncomfortable. The salsa and the guacamole for the Nachos were especially nice. It wasn’t greasy and had a good mix of cheese, vegetables and the beans and was also seasoned well. The asparagus soup could have done with a little more salt but it wasn’t a big deal as we just added it ourselves. I would definitely recommend going here if you’re in the neighborhood or are at the mall. Seems like reservations would help especially on weekend nights and if you’re a first timer don’t forget to put that booth request in the reservation if you want one."

"A perfect breakfast spot or quick lunch grab go. Walked by this place and saw that there was a stream of people constantly going in empty-handed and out with bags of food. The storefront seemed unassuming, but we were intrigued and starving after the train. We didn't have much time before our meeting, so we entered the shop on a whim. It's pretty tight at the front with limited seats/space to wait, two little touch screen key pads for self-service ordering, and the menu written on a long chalkboard sign spanning the whole left wall (and part of the right)! Ordering was easy and our food was done in less than 7 minutes, and I saw several others walk in to pickup orders they made online/the app. The place was clean and the sizzle and smells from the griddle make you even hungrier as you wait! For the money and convenience, it was great! I can also see how this place would be great for hangovers or to grab brunch and bring home. Can't wait to go back!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options! Note that it is all cooked on the same griddle/prep station.Kid-friendliness: No kid menu, but you can easily customize the items to be kid friendly.Parking: Street parking is very limited. I saw several people double-parked.Wheelchair accessibility: Very limited space in front, no ramp or automatic doors.Dietary restrictions: Notify the staff of dietary restrictions. The prep area is small and cross-contamination could happen."
