Moist pound cake infused with zesty lemon, topped with a tangy glaze for a refreshing citrus treat.

"First time visiting MGM Roast Beef for breakfast. Wow, I came hungry and had a big plate. It was that, a big plate split in two different boxes. $11.99 for the most expensive breakfast choice and I had to take some home. I recommend that you choose French toast as our group preferred it over the waffle but I do want to come back for some blueberry pancakes. The service for dine in is counter order, get a buzzer and a short wait for some fresh food. P.S. don’t sleep on breakfast it ends at 10:30…but don’t worry Lunch goes 10:30-3pm and it deserves another visit and I’ll drop a review for that soon too!"

"At this point they owe me some stars! This is by far the worst Caribbean restaurant I've ever had. Almost $100 for 3 orders of pure garbage! I'm convinced that the good reviews were written by their associates. The food looked good and if I could get full off of looking at food awesome but I can't. The Oxtails; I've never seen oxtails this small. I received 5 pieces and only 1 had a small amount of meat on it, the rest was just fat and bones. They smelled like ketchup, taste like sugar and Thyme. The peas and rice taste like they only added coconut milk and nothing else. The steam cabbage with carrots taste like sour water Had we enjoyed the food I still wouldn't return. Almost $100 for 3 orders of food, at any other restaurant the portion would've been considered a small. It's not a coincidence that both orders of oxtails was all bone and fat. All 3 orders went into the trash. I see they mentioned being a small black owned business which I would love to support however, you can't rob the community that you expect to support you. I'm glad to see you pay attention to your feedback. What I find unfortunate is the lack of accountability in your end. Every day will not be a win. Had your response to my review mentioned you may have missed the mark with my order, I would have given it another try thinking I caught you on a bad day. However, you're choosing to deny all negative reviews as though it is impossible to have an off day. The lack of accountability and disregard for my experience just leads me to believe this is not the place for me, my family and my referrals. I too, am in the customer service field by way of hospitality- accountability goes a long way. Run your business how you see fit, I don't see the need to return or refer the guest from my business. Enjoy your day, no love lost wish your business a better future for others."

"Absolutely disgusted and furious after leaving this place.Walked in to chaos and confusion. People entered through both doors and started multiple lines and no one knew what was going on.Employees looked unkempt and had an extremely unprofessional demeanor. The women at the counter were wearing pajamas and had long fake nails, and looked unclean, handeling food and beverages- very gross. I asked the woman at the counter for a coffee with milk and sugar (They moved the coffee station behind the counter), and she gave me a cup of milk with hardly any coffee or sugar, filled to the top, and the lid was put on incorrectly so as I walked out with food and coffee in hand, coffee spilled all over my pants. Manhattan bagels are generally consistent in my experience but this one in Westfield is a disgrace."

"This restaurant serving soul food is an absolute 5 out of 5! Every dish is top-tier, fresh, and tastes like it's made by a true southern mother. It's a must-try! The collard greens, Mac and cheese, potato salad, French fries and all the sides are exactly like how it’s made on the thanksgiving table with love! This place has their seafoods on point, I can talk for hours about how good the battered shrimp was, crispy, not oily at all and you can actually taste the freshness of the shrimp not like the other place around the corner off Evergreen. Not only is the food great but the customer service is A1 Every single customer gets treated like family. This place is a must try when visiting Metro Detroit if you want to try what true soul food is!!"

"Visited this spot for breakfast on a Sunday. It was pretty busy but they move fast with taking orders and getting people their drinks/food. We got the shakshuka with halal beef sausage and a half egg, cheese, Turkey bacon sandwich. We also ordered a chai latte with an espresso shot and a matcha latte. The dirty chai was good but the matcha was pretty milky. The shakshuka comes with a side salad and a bun, which was also good. We paid about $38 for everything so I think it was fair. They have a decent number of tables inside and outside but you have to seat yourself. Overall, I’d say this spot is nice but it was nothing special but definitely visit if you’re in the area!"

"I've been visiting Starters for over 20 years, and I finally decided to write a review. Starters is my go-to spot! I’ve tried everything on the menu, and I have my favorites. The Surf and Turf is my top choice, along with their light-skinned Long Island Iced Tea – it's a winner! The portion of the salad is generous and plentiful. Over the years, the service has always been exceptional – from the hostess to the waitstaff and bartenders, everyone provides top-notch service. It truly is the best local bar, and their happy hour is unbeatable. Make sure to try the steak bites, roasted shrimp, and fish during happy hour, which is offered every day from 2 PM to 7 PM – you can’t find a better deal! My favorite location is the original on Plymouth Road, but the spots on Southfield and Woodward are fantastic too. I’ve been to Woodward four times since May 9th because I love them all! My motto is: if I like it, I’ll give it another try!"

"Came here for a Friday night dinner. Had a reservation for 6:45 pm and we were there on the dot and promptly seated. We noticed a booth empty and we asked if we could be seated there instead of the table. And the hostess said that only people with reservations had a choice of seating and despite having one we couldn’t be seated there. I really didn’t know what that meant especially because two old women who came right after us were seated in that booth. I found that annoying because how is a first timer supposed to know they have booths that can be specified during reservation. But other than that, our food was very good and service was quick, and attentive. I am kind of in-between about docking off a star but decided not to because we had a good rest of our experience especially by our server. We ordered a hibiscus mimosa, the asparagus cream soup, veggie nachos and a wok seared vegetables. It was a good amount of food for two, but we actually finished off everything between the two of us. The food felt fresh and despite feeling full, didn’t feel bloated or uncomfortable. The salsa and the guacamole for the Nachos were especially nice. It wasn’t greasy and had a good mix of cheese, vegetables and the beans and was also seasoned well. The asparagus soup could have done with a little more salt but it wasn’t a big deal as we just added it ourselves. I would definitely recommend going here if you’re in the neighborhood or are at the mall. Seems like reservations would help especially on weekend nights and if you’re a first timer don’t forget to put that booth request in the reservation if you want one."

"This bakery is a delight. Not only is the aesthetic exactly what you want from an upscale boulangerie, but the pastries are perfectly flaky, buttery, and delicious. The croissants are expertly made with beautiful lamination and no sogginess orstaleness, the outside is crisp and flaky with a soft inside just like croissants are meant to be. The staff are also incrediblyfriendly and on top of things. The coffee is good, as well. Overall, a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back!"

"The service at this restaurant was excellent! I appreciate that they have implemented as many contactless options as possible, such as digital menus and bill payments. However, very few staff members were wearing masks and I did not notice any hand sanitizer available. The restroom was also out of order at the time. Despite these minor issues, the food and drinks were delicious. Happy Saturday is now one of my favorite dishes and I would definitely return to this place. It had probably been at least 25 years since I was last here and the interior was completely different, which was a pleasant surprise."

"We went here for dinner with Travel Zoo Promotion last night. The restaurant is beautiful! Cosy but open and spacious so you are not in other table discussions. The food was delicious! I had the chicken dish and it was moist and tasteful. My friend had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection! The only drawback was that the service was not exactly what I expected from a restaurant of this caliber. We had to look for our server a few times and ask for more water. We had some difficult time to understand him sometimes. All in all, food and ambience was amazing, service left a little to wish but still worth it."

"Hot Spot is the premier destination for Jamaican cuisine in Albany, NY. As a loyal customer for eight years, I've always been thoroughly impressed. Their steamed escovitch fish is absolutely delicious, and their jerk chicken, ackee and saltfish, and curried goat are equally remarkable. I have to commend Hot Spot for fostering a welcoming atmosphere and providing excellent customer service. It's always a joy to bring friends, family, and colleagues to what I consider Albany's best Jamaican restaurant. Cheers to the owner/CEO and their fantastic team!"

"I absolutely love some soul food!!! I choose this place because I really wanted to support and have a good dinner…The dinner I got from here was trash! I literally had to throw the fish that came with my meal in the garbage. I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner with mac and Yams. The sides were delish. The fish tasted old or like it was left out for hours, took one bite started to feel sick, so I trashed it. The shrimp was like someone put it in hot grease for 3 seconds and put it in the container. I had to cook the shrimp in the air fryer. I am going to 5 star everything except the food."

"A perfect breakfast spot or quick lunch grab go. Walked by this place and saw that there was a stream of people constantly going in empty-handed and out with bags of food. The storefront seemed unassuming, but we were intrigued and starving after the train. We didn't have much time before our meeting, so we entered the shop on a whim. It's pretty tight at the front with limited seats/space to wait, two little touch screen key pads for self-service ordering, and the menu written on a long chalkboard sign spanning the whole left wall (and part of the right)! Ordering was easy and our food was done in less than 7 minutes, and I saw several others walk in to pickup orders they made online/the app. The place was clean and the sizzle and smells from the griddle make you even hungrier as you wait! For the money and convenience, it was great! I can also see how this place would be great for hangovers or to grab brunch and bring home. Can't wait to go back!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options! Note that it is all cooked on the same griddle/prep station.Kid-friendliness: No kid menu, but you can easily customize the items to be kid friendly.Parking: Street parking is very limited. I saw several people double-parked.Wheelchair accessibility: Very limited space in front, no ramp or automatic doors.Dietary restrictions: Notify the staff of dietary restrictions. The prep area is small and cross-contamination could happen."
