"After not visiting this restaurant for some time, we were surprised to find that the prices had increased significantly. My wife ordered the parmesan-encrusted whitefish, which appeared appetizing and was a generous portion, but lacked flavor. The accompanying sides of spinach and mashed potatoes were nothing special and seemed like dishes that could be easily made at home. Overall, the meal was decent but somewhat disappointing. I opted for the cioppino, a dish I usually enjoy, and given its high price on the menu, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst cioppino I have ever tasted. The stew lacked the clam and mussel shells that are typically included, and instead featured breaded and fried squid rings on top, resembling a calamari appetizer thrown into the mix. There were also shrimp, as expected, but no other substantial seafood pieces, only small strings that likely came from some type of fish. Moreover, the flavor was unremarkable. Our waiter, John, was exceptional; his service was the only highlight of an otherwise disappointing dinner. In conclusion, the food did not justify the expensive prices."
