"I visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday, June 3, 2017 along with my brother and his wife, and a close friend. We were there to thank our friend for her exceptional kindness during a difficult family time. My brother and sister-in-law had visited Scopa many times and had really enjoyed the food and experience. Sadly, our experience went from one disappointment to another. Among a long list of shortcomings, our waiter had nothing positive to say about the food--"doesn't look that good", "wouldn't recommend it", "yeah, I guess you can can get a bottle of Prosecco", etc. etc.. He managed to overflow the Prosecco as he was pouring it and never returned to clean up. The wine was warm, and my brother's beer arrived sometime later. Then we were asked to stand so that our table could be moved to accommodate a party of 12 who ended up sitting outdoors. As to the food, I ordered the seafood risotto and it was tasteless, gluey and the scallops were small enough to be indistinguishable. The other entrees were OK, but no one was raving about the food. The waiter wandered by a couple of times and managed to deliver two glasses of wine but, again, the second beer was delivered after the main courses were finished. In short, Scopa was a great disappointment from the service to the food. It may have been a good neighbourhood restaurant at one time, but it does not come close anymore. We will not return."

"I visited the restaurant and looked at the menu. I noticed that the beef soup was priced at $11. However, after I placed my order and got my bill I noticed they charged me $17. They informed me that I was looking at an old menu., they gave me a new menu which stated that the beef soup was actually $17. Additionally, when I ordered a pupusa, the chef informed me that the order comes with 2 pupusas. On the menu, it stated $3.50 for each pupusa. I didn 't have to place an order for two pieces. When I brought it up to the manager 's attention, he became defensive. Now, let 's talk about the food. The beef rib soup consisted mostly of vegetables with only one piece of beef rib, and it was super salty. It cost $17, and the pupusa were not good at all. It was more Maza it barely had any meat stuff inside. which I find it to be quite expensive. I have to agree with Angelina A who reviewed the restaurant three months ago, it 's definitely a rip-off.They claim to be a pizzeria, but it 's essentially it 's a Central American restaurant. I wouldn 't recommend going there for Italian food, let alone pizza.Translation in Spanish:I visited the restaurant and looked at the menu. I noticed that the beef soup was priced at $11. "We were visiting Buffalo during the Allentown Art Festival, and were not excited by the restaurants in that part of town, which were mostly pretentious, noisy, and overpriced sports bars. We decided to wait and have dinner somewhere a little better. But we had no idea where. After noodling around a bit, we walked by Gigi's, and poked our heads in under the awning to see what the food on the outdoor diner's plates looked like... Hmm, not bad. So we went in, sat down, and had an early dinner. We started with a couple of Italian Beers, salad, and the antipasto. Very tasty and presented with care and attention to detail. The addition of finocchio to the salad was a brilliant touch. We ordered the Chicken Milanese and (in spite of being in an Italian restaurant) the Fish Fry! Everything was great! We were really hungry, and we were not disappointed. The fish fry was the best I have ever had The fish was so fresh that I wondered whether it were caught in Elicott Creek. Just kidding... About the creek. The fish was awesome! There was a small disaster when the internet service went down, affecting the POS terminal. An alternative method of processing payments was swiftly implemented and tragedy was averted! I had a short conversation with the owner (and chef), who was very personable. Another excellent restaurant in the city of good neighbors and tasty food!"
