"The rest of our order, in addition to the brisket, was equally disappointing. The food was not warm, and there was hardly anything for the price we paid for family-style dining. The manager refused to correct anything besides providing that one dry slice of brisket, which he considered a fix for the chopped brisket I didn’t order.
We also experienced missing sides, and what we did receive was cold and lacked flavor. My family is from Texas and used to love Dickey's, but this experience was a letdown. If you want subpar BBQ that doesn’t match your order and leave your family unsatisfied, then visit the Dickey's in Fair Oaks.
Also, take a look at the photos—the so-called 'large' order of okra was underwhelming. Typically, a large order is full, crispy, and warm, but my son's small order of okra had more pieces than the large one. We work hard for our money, and we expect to receive what we ordered and paid for! Anyone who values their hard-earned money and enjoys dining out can relate to this review. It's disheartening to see some businesses operate this way.
If you want quality BBQ and an accurate order, head to Mission BBQ. The service and staff genuinely care about your experience, and the food is delicious. Avoid Dickey's at Fair Oaks in Fairfax, VA—it's a nightmare of terrible food, poor service, and inadequate management. Also, for the record, we ordered BBQ sliced chicken, spicy sausage, one dry rib (which wasn’t enough for the price), pulled pork, and half a pound of sliced brisket, plus Texas toast (which we never received—talk about false advertisement). The food was cold, the sliced chicken had no sauce, and the sausage was dry. #BOYCOTTDICKEYSFAIROAKSMALL"
