"we were last night in the city to see the sataang show. awakened on Monday morning in the city with a huge appetit. I was looking for a couple of breakfasts that were too foot to our hotel. and mirror was the one who woke up our interest. happy to say we were thrilled with our lattes, and our breakfast! I have a protein olmlette with mixed green and the Matcha-Latte with mandelmilch! it was lovely! bf got the chai latte, and the poched egg with zilantro and ingwer and pita brot to immerse in the sauce. I tasted it was great and he was very happy with my choice to breakfast! all for good vibes good music good eating! good work!"

"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, located in a quaint little town. The exterior and patio area are quite simple, but they are well-maintained and inviting. Dining on the patio felt like relaxing in a friend’s backyard. The food was exceptional. The cheese curds were light and crispy, though I wished there were more, and the ranch dressing was rich and flavorful! I ordered the taco burger, which turned out to be a quesadilla filled with a burger and all the taco toppings; it was absolutely delicious. However, I found the sweet potato fries I chose as a side to be a bit underwhelming. My friend opted for the blueberry bourbon burger with waffle fries, and she described it as the perfect combination of sweet and savory, with the fries being wonderfully crispy. I would definitely return and try a different side next time!"

"The atmosphere is very relaxed and has a rustic charm. The cortadito was excellent, reminiscent of what you’d find on Calle Ocho. They serve home-style food and have a bakery as well. I was so excited about my meal that I cut into the eggs and beef before snapping a photo—oops! The Cuban empanadas were perfectly seasoned, and the yuca was crispy without being greasy. I loved it so much that I ordered a side of yuca to take home after enjoying it with my meal. Overall, I’d rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5."

"I ordered from an outdated menu for pickup. The owner kindly informed me that the menu I was looking at wasn’t up to date, but he offered to prepare what he could from it. When I arrived to pick up my order, he came to the front personally to apologize for the confusion. The level of customer service was exceptional, and I will definitely be coming back!"

"The Gri-Oat Latte brings me so much joy! I've tried it twice now, and it's just perfect every time! On my last visit, I had the breakfast griot sandwich served on fried plantains, and it was fantastic. Today, I opted for the signature Griot Sandwich with chicken, and I can't recommend it enough—10/10! I absolutely love pikliz; it adds a nice kick if you prefer it spicy, but not so much that it masks the flavor. Thank you for such a wonderful meal!"

"Would give 5 stars, but... we'll get to that. This place is wonderful for breakfast and lunch. The egg's Benedict is awesome, love their potato cakes, coffee is always fresh, and the staff of mostly all women are fantastic and friendly. Atmosphere is great makes you feel welcomed like a local, even if ya ain't local. Their fries are magic seriously. Their lunch menu is also excellent, especially the tuna salad. My one only miff is the constant nuisance of flies. For some reason, there are always 1 2 flies buzzing around and landing on my coffee cup or my sandwich. It's gross. Is there a window open somewhere else we don't see or what?! What is up with the flies? I will be more than happy to update my review if the next few times I visit, the flies have been eradicated."

"Absolutely fantastic! We stopped here after a camping trip, and we were starving for a good meal. This place has the best restaurant coffee I’ve had in ages (and I'm quite selective about my coffee). My wife and I enjoyed the best French toast we've ever tasted. The sausage patties were cooked to perfection, and the eggs were fresh and delicious. I usually dislike diced potatoes, but I would happily eat the ones they serve here—they were that good! The staff was incredibly friendly, always ready to refill our mugs. Even though it was busy (it was the 4th of July weekend), they ensured we were always satisfied. As someone who is really picky about diners and cafes, this place has truly impressed me, and I will definitely return every time I go camping or hunting!"

"Terrible experience! The owner charged us for a cheeseburger, but when it arrived, it was loaded with toppings we didn’t want. We declined the burger and requested that it be made to our specifications instead. His response was that we could just scrape off the toppings. He then took the burger back and refused to refund our money! This place has zero customer service, and the owner clearly doesn’t care about his customers. When I asked him if he valued customer service, he bluntly stated that he doesn’t. This is the worst restaurant in San Antonio—please steer clear of this place. You’d be better off dining somewhere else."

"It took a while to get our orders in. A couple of tables that came in after us had their food before we even had the chance to order. We finally flagged down a server and managed to get our order in. We ordered the mushroom planks, a double Cheeseburger,a regular Cheeseburger, 2 orders of fries, 2 strawberry daiquiris, and a cup of fry sauce. The mushroom planks were alright.Nothing amazing, but pretty decent. As for the burgers, I'm not really a huge smash burger style fan, but these things reallyhit the spot. Great flavor, and awesome toppings. Best smash burger I've ever had. The fries were great too. Super crispy,while also being soft on the inside. They taste much better than they look, and pair very well with the fry sauce. Thedaiquiris were really nice and strong, if a bit expensive. I do wish they had a bit more in terms of side options. It'sbasically just fries, or soup. Outside of the wait to order, the only other big downside was not having ice in the water. Itwas a bit warm in the building, so ice would have been welcomed. Ice was certainly in the daiquiris, so I'm not sure why it wasabsent in the water."

"I previously visited The Original Steve's Diner and loved the food, especially the vegan options that allowed my wife and me to dine together. However, on our recent visit, they were out of vegan batter. The staff was understanding, but there aren’t many options for vegans beyond that. I can’t help but wonder how it’s possible to run out of such a simple recipe: 1.5 cups of flour, 1/3 cup of sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, a pinch of salt, 3 tablespoons of coconut or vegetable oil, a dash of vanilla, and 1 cup of dairy-free milk. One would expect those ingredients to be readily available. How can they serve batter if it’s not fresh? It’s a bit concerning. If you’re a vegan or have one in your party, I recommend calling ahead. When they do have their offerings, it’s definitely worth it."

"I tried this place for lunch one day on the recommendation of a friend. I phoned in my order, and the man was very nice and patient. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a drink. He told me on the phone it would be about 10 minutes, so by the time I got there the food was ready. I have to say the cheeseburger was a pretty good size and very delicious. The french fries were very crisp and also tasty. And honestly it wasn't overly expensive. The only issue is they offer you a canned soda with the meal. Unfortunately, the only canned sodas they had were all regular, not diet. They did have diet drinks in bottles (same size) but did not offer to swap one for one. I feel if a business cannot provide you with a drink that you need that is part of the order, they should offer an alternative. Not everybody can drink the full-sugared sodas. I generally don't because it's way more unhealthy. But that's really my only complaint. I'd definitely eat here again."
