"I hosted a 70 person private event brunch at Lido Di Manhattan and everything about my experience was amazing. Starting with planning the event, both Lisa and Carlos were communicative, friendly, and extremely accommodating to all of my requests. Even though it is an Italian restaurant, Lisa was able to provide all of the brunch foods that I requested for my event including egg scrambles, waffles, yogurt bar, pastries, and a mimosa bar! Multiple of my guests shared with me how great the venue was for our Holiday Brunch and more importantly how delicious the food was! Carlos and the staff provided very attentive service and made sure the buffet and drinks were constantly stocked. Heidi helped with the mimosa bar and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Such a wonderful experience from start to finish and I would definitely consider hosting events here in the future!"

"ordered the grilled cheese with bacon and apple, which was exactly what I expected/expected. I tried the orders of my friends and they all tasted amazing and followed the same principle: thick, buttery, roasted bread with tons of melted cheese between and many protein options to supplement the mix. The menu is wide and generous portions to share among friends. Love that it comes with pimples on the side and no need to order it additionally, unless you love pickles. Beer selection is also on point! Both designs and bottled beers are available. Once came here, when my friend lives nearby and will certainly return when I am close."

"Food was definitely above average and I would fo sho eat there again! Lots of TV's and friendly people all around. Lots of memorabilia on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Our waiter was really good too! I ordered the Lobster'Boy with the mac cheese as my side. The sandwich was really, really good, BUT the mac cheese was Kraft. I was expecting the larger macaroni used in homemade m c but I got Kraft. Maybe that's normal for Chicago as I am in no way an expert in any capacity on regional foods. There are other sides options available as well. The fried pickles and lobster bite appetizers were awesome. I'd give their margarita a B+ and the Jack and Cokes an A+"

"The hostess didn't seem to care that we had a reservation. Our gin and tonic had to be replaced because the tonic was flat. After ordering fried clams we were eventually told there were not any clams available. (Really? You can't walk across the street and get a few? Even though fried clams were not available we were still charged for them on our bill. The fries were under cooked."

"The food was great but the customer service is poor. The waitress came to us very few times and we had to order from other random waiters that would walk past. They give you a 90 min limit to eat regardless of where you are in the midst of your meal. When asked to speak to the manager the manager stated that it is to prevent people from drinking too much but there were people at our table that weren’t drinking and since when is 2 drinks too much? . I think it is outrageous that the place had a bunch of empty tables and they were literally asking people to leave. Regardless of how good the food was, I am all set off this place given the poor customer service and inability to explain this at the beginning. I don’t go places to be rushed . To wrap it up, we were sitting for 90 minutes and received a total of about 15 minutes of service."

"Food was awesome. Just not enough of it! I paid $17 for a pork chop with a bone , some fries, and some asparagus spears. 4 spears! A handful of OVER SALTED TO THE EXTREME FRIES. And a pork chop as big as a slice of bread. All was delicious. Just not enough to fill up a 3rd grader. For $17 I expect to feel full. I ate at mc Donald's an hour later to get my full on! Service was on point .refilled my drink 3 times.and gave plenty of rolls and butter. The apatizers were small as well. Baked potatoes wedges topped with bacon bits and cheese $6.50 . 4 slices. It was one potato basically. The foods good. Over priced as it gets though. The American way! Represented right on my plate. I felt ripped off .I'll never eat there again. I suggest TGIF FRIDAYS. Way better portions , and faster to get your food to you. TGIF FRIDAYS would be my suggestion"

"Another point of concern was the espresso martini. Just a tip: if you’re a high-end establishment that lists an espresso martini on the menu, you really should have an espresso machine. If that’s not in your setup, it would be better to remove it from the menu altogether. On a brighter note, the tuna tartare and crab cake gnocchi were enjoyable, and I would recommend those dishes wholeheartedly."

"This was some of the best seafood I’ve ever had in my entire life. Between the gorgeous view of the river and the rustic dark wood interior, this establishment is stunning. As for the fare, the lobster nachos were insanely amazing, the oysters were incredibly fresh, and the clam chowdah was so creamy and tasty. I tried one of their specialty Pilsners that the waitress recommended and it was crispy and refreshing. I would keep going back here just to try everything on their menu."

"I had heard great things about this place when they first opened. guess they don't care. Started with sitting waiting for menus for about 15 minutes finally got menus when waitress came to order and realized that we don't have menus. the water that tasted as if it came from a dirty rinse. order the pulpy app and a pizza. 40 minutes later the Brezel app came out with the pizza, but they were completely raw on the inside. pizza was in order, but could say they used frozen chicken fingers for their chicken parm to hide it, had to hear 2 youngs screaming at the tip of the lungs and betting on a golf game. will not be back and will not recommend anyone"

"I came here on a Wednesday night, was not busy at all. We ordered 2 batters fish tacos, 1 battered shrimp taco, 1 shrimp tostada, and 1 shrimp cocktail. The food was *chef's kiss* sooo good. I was pleasantly surprised for such a local place to actually be such a hidden gem. I can't wait to come back here and try the rest of the menu. The food tasted so fresh and the price is worth it because you get A LOT of food for what you're paying for. The service was great we had a very friendly waiter. The location itself is very cute they have seating inside and outside. There is free street parking in front or a free lot in the back. Overall can't wait to come back here."

"Restaurant has taken no precautions to protect customers from coronavirus. No hand sanitizer available, tables have salt and pepper, oil and other stuff on them that are not cleaned after each guest. Cleaning person using the same rag to wipe down tables one after the other. No sanitation of tables or chairs. Not a good place to go during a pandemic."

"First time there… and we were very disappointed. Food was very sub-par and tasteless. Just very, very bland food. Ate from the lunch menu which was reasonably priced. But, the rest of the food was way overpriced. Taco meat was like sawdust and had no seasoning. Salsa was like a bowl of watery tomato sauce with some Frank’s Hot Sauce stirred in. No texture or substance. Waitress was pleasant, but manager was surly and indifferent to an error with our order. Made no attempt to accommodate. Too many excellent Mexican restaurants here in T-town to spend your money at Don Juan’s. Ventura’s, Loma’s and San Marco’s are all excellent. Also, didn’t like that they checked you out with a handheld machine that didn’t work well … and we never got to see the bill to see what we were being charged. Plus, made me uneasy when the Manager walked off with my credit card … just felt shady. We won’t be back."
