"We went for the second time for dinner with friends before a show. The atmosphere was “exuberant”/loud. One table was particularly so, and it was more pleasant after their departure, as prior to that it was hard to speak to one another. Our waitress was wonderful, however, and had just the right amount of humor. She encouraged us to go for the pitcher of margaritas, which we enjoyed. The food was actually very good. The steak and plantain nachos were a hit, as was the taco salad with tuna. The blackened shrimp on the arugula salad was delicious, though the salad itself lacked interest (too much arugula and too little else and the pepitas which had been advertised were absent. We will go back but I will not order the arugula salad again."

Our server Erik was amazing. He was attentive, knew the menu well and made excellent recommendations on tacos. We wanted to try the squash tacos which we all liked a lot but it was a bit greasy. We had a fantastic lunch and would recommend Te Amo again. Thanks Sonja and team!

Went here for my boyfriend's birthday with a group of 12 people, got some margarita pitchers to share (mango is my personal favorite as well as some guacamole. I got the steak tacos as my entree and they were very delicious, the truffle aioli is awesome. It was extremely crowded as it was a Saturday night at 6pm (and also apparently a bad Santa bar crawl night , but I made a reservation so we had no issues. Our waiter was super friendly and solidly attentive for how busy they were. We came during happy hour so the tacos were super reasonably priced, highly recommend Te Amo as a happy hour spot or a spot for a large group! Definitely a New Haven gem : especially since they have happy hour eve...
