"After having Selva Grill on our “we should try it sometime” list for 5 yrs, we finally went. It was excellent. Not Michelin star type dining, but very elevated for this area. We'll certainly be back. For apps we had a ceviche (tuna tiradito) and a spring roll (aji de gallina), and both were exceptional. I'm guessing that the other ceviche and starter options are equally well thought out and constructed, so while it will be hard not to order those again, it would be a shame not to try some of the other offerings. For mains, we had the duck and the sea bass. Both were very good, but a bit more conventional. I'd say we were pleased and satisfied, but not wowed. But that a high bar, so no disrespect intended. In both cases, as with the starters, the dishes offered a multiplicity of flavors and textures, interesting and enjoyable if somewhat familiar. The only miss was a risotto that was well conceived but not well executed (as happens from time to time). All other elements of each dish were spot on. We split a dessert (peach bread pudding with vanilla ice cream), and each had an after dinner drink (port for me, and espresso martini for my wife). I've never met a peach bread pudding that I didn't like, so that's low hanging fruit. My wife enjoyed the espresso martini, and I was glad to have several port options even though port doesn't really go that well with peaches or bread pudding IMO. Would really have preferred a sauterne or maybe an ice wine, but the choices for dessert wines at most Florida restaurants are generally slim, so a selection of inexpensive ports was better than nothing. Which reminds me we each had a decent glass of wine with dinner from the short but serviceable wine list. Overall, we had a great time and will certainly go again. Prices are more than fair, given the quality of the experience."
