Absolutely delicious. You can tell it's fine dining upon arrival. The staff were nice informative and respectful. We really enjoyed our v day dinner. We sat in bar and lounge with bartender Ben? I believe? He was so nice

First time going there, very disappointed, sat in the middle of the room could not have a conversation with four people at our table, food came out, looked absolutely beautiful, but eating it. We were very disappointed three out of the 4 Meals Way too expensive for the quality of food and the no ambience.

The South American dishes were really very good such as the ceviches and lomo saltado. Their NY steak was excellent, even the children loved it. The atmosphere and service were also good. The only thing missing for us is there was no children menu and $51 NY steak is a little bit too pricey for a children’s meal. View menu

I was reluctant to try Selva Grill since I'm a very plain eater, but, I was amazingly surprised at the wonderful presentation, service and quality. The short ribs were the best I've ever had and the tuna ceviche was incredible. Definitely going back and this time I'm taking the whole family. Inside dining was a little too noisy so we tried outdoor dining. Unfortunately, traffic noise was a problem, but, nothing could dampen the quality of the food and service.

The food presentation and service provided by Drew were outstanding. However, the noise level was excessively loud, making it nearly impossible to hold a conversation with my dining companions due to the overpowering music and chatter from the bar. We were not given the option to be seated away from the bar area, which was a bit frustrating, especially since we didn't order any drinks. Nonetheless, I would be willing to return and opt for a different seating area.

I recently dined at this upscale restaurant with my family and friends, and I was impressed by its fusion kitchen and creative dishes. The atmosphere was sophisticated and elegant, with top-notch service. However, I have to note that the prices are quite high, and the portions are very small. While the food was delicious, I felt that the portion sizes didn't quite justify the cost. Overall, this is a decent restaurant by Sarasota standards, featuring excellent ceviche. However, our dinner experience had its ups and downs. It began with a glass of flat champagne, which was disappointing. It feels like they don't give enough credit to their customers' expectations. Since we chose to order two appetizers instead of an appetizer and a main course, they served them on one plate, which was a bit unusual. When we asked for bread, we were informed it would take twenty minutes, which felt quite off-putting. The service was rather rude until we ordered a bottle of champagne. So many places buckle under their own hype, but this place delivers the goods, 100%. Totally primo. Totally satisfying. For the uber-quality, it seemed completely worth it.Upscale vibe without feeling overly forced.Our waiter, Juan, was sincere and gave elegant service without being patronizing in any way.It was great! After having Selva Grill on our “we should try it sometime” list for 5 yrs, we finally went. It was excellent. Not Michelin star type dining, but very elevated for this area. We'll certainly be back. For apps we had a ceviche (tuna tiradito) and a spring roll (aji de gallina), and both were exceptional. I'm guessing that the other ceviche and starter options are equally well thought out and constructed, so while it will be hard not to order those again, it would be a shame not to try some of the other offerings.
