Savory lump crab cakes seasoned and delicately pan-seared, served with a zesty remoulade sauce.

"Restaurant wasn’t crowded. Taela was our waitress. She was very nice and answered all of our questions. We ordered a bottle of the chardonnay. We had the calamari for an appetizer. There were three of us. The whole stuffed flounder was ordered, the stuffed salmon were both very good. I had the bone in aged rib eye. It was excellent. Perfectly cooked. We all shared the butter cake. All in all meal, customer service was great. Would definitely go back and also would recommend this establishment for lunch or dinner."

"Food is good but lacks seasoning and flavor. It’s on the cusp of being awesome but just not good enough to justify a return visit when there are so many great restaurants in S. Tampa. Atmosphere is nice but service has much to be desired. The staff was more interested in closing duties than taking care of the customer that were still there at on a Saturday...and it wasn’t busy at all. Our server greeted us after minutes by saying “I didn’t even see you. They haven’t sat this table in an hour so I didn’t think to look.” She never checked on us once she delivered the food so basically service was **** which made the entire experience sub par. Not interested in returning."

"The staff was friendly, but the food was quite average. My husband ordered a medium-rare steak, but it arrived well-done. After sending it back, it came back medium instead. Unfortunately, neither preparation was correct. Additionally, his baked potato was tough, despite being the restaurant's special that day. While the staff apologized, we didn't receive any compensation. Overall, it felt like they were disorganized, and the high prices didn't match the quality of the food. We won't be returning."

"Great steaks with little to no wait. This restaurant is one of the gems in the area. They generally have great service (it’s always at least good service). The steaks are seasoned and cooked very well. The sides are really good and original. Don’t pass on the salad, they make them right. The last time I went, I got the snapper blackened and was not disappointed!"

"Although Our server was approachable, warm and attentive, the food was less than we expected. We tried the oyster Rockefeller and the recipe was disappointing. Instead of topping the oyster Rockefeller with cheese it was topped with béarnaise sauce, which took away from the oyster Rockefeller flare. The “truffle fries” were nothing more than just plain fries with a few sprinkles of parm. Nothing “truffle” about it. The restaurant was extremely dark. The decor was drab. My wife usually takes Home her leftovers, but she did not want to after having the skillet red fish. The food was mediocre which makes it over priced. The best part of our experience were the deserts (crème brûlée and the chocolate bag) and the service. Overall, We would not likely return."

"My things time at this restaurant (nice service and ambiance) but unfortunately this time around food was not best quality. We found the calamari, sword fish steak and scallop dishes to be equally chewy rather than soft and easily edible. The couple at table right next to ours had a similar complaint. Would give them another shot. Hopefully food quality improves."

"We had a fantastic evening at the restaurant. Our waiter, Joe, was amazing! He was very attentive, promptly refilling our water and ensuring that our dinner was served at a nice pace. The M&S cocktail was enjoyable and not overly sweet. We indulged in a few dozen raw oysters, which may have been small but were incredibly flavorful! We shared the Walnut Mixed Greens salad, which was ample for two. My husband had the Halibut special, while I savored the perfectly cooked Hawaiian Bigeye Ahi Tuna. To top it off, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, with low lighting, and the prices were reasonable compared to other nice restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this place!"

"My wife and I were searching around for a place to have brunch on New Year’s Day. Maybe there’s a lot of places that are open, but this was the first one I identified so I made a reservation. There were only a couple other tables occupied, so the place was super dead. Almost unpleasantly quiet in the sense that we were wondering, “why the hell are we here if no one else is.“ I know that when places are slow, the staff isn't often on their toes. I’m a real stickler for good service in a restaurant, particularly when it’s clear that they are not busy and I’m paying a significant price for my meal. There was a pretty long wait to get menus, to get coffee, to get water poured at the table. In short, everyone was probably tired or hung over from the night before. I had something that I thought was excellent, which was kind of a breakfast hash made with short ribs. What my wife ordered was pretty much an edible and needed to be sent back. It was pretty much Stone cold, which is stunning, considering the place was almost empty. I’m sure it was cooked fine in the kitchen, but perhaps with nothing else to do, the waiter went out for a smoke or something by the time you came back and grab the food. It was unacceptable. I guess I’m of the old school that thinks waiters are the final Quality Control before food is served. Clearly that wasn’t the case here."

"The setting at the historic Blackhawk Hotel is charming, but the food was just average. I had high expectations considering the price and reputation. The electronic menus were confusing and not well-organized. It was difficult to differentiate between lunch and dinner options. My son was disappointed that burgers were not available on the lunch menu. The menu had some technical issues, with incorrect pictures shown for certain items. The service was acceptable but a bit slow, even though the restaurant was not busy. We had to wait to be greeted and noticed another couple had to seat themselves after waiting for a long time. The waitstaff seemed preoccupied in the bar area. It seems they may have a high volume of takeout or room service orders to manage. Overall, not a place I plan on returning to anytime soon."

"Been going there for years and always top-notch. Service is always good and drinks are solid. The seafood bisque and the Tilapia were very good and our server was fantastic. Different story now. Lobster tails use to be large and wonderful. No more. 2 tails about 5 oz each and zero flavor for $66.00. I can understand the hardship and difficulties getting product during the disaster that Biden has created. I would have completely understood had the kitchen manager, admitted these were different and at least offered an apology. I guess he knew he had no ligiatmate explanation so he stayed hidden in the sanctuary of his kitchen. I explained to our server I was not looking for any monetary consideration but if it was my reputation I'd want to know. Apparently, this manager figured he could just BS us via the server. How disapointing and unprofessional. No wonder the place was empty. Won't be going back until supply chain issues are resolved in 2024 or a manager that wants to know about customer's concerns."

"This is a great restaurant! The ambience is beautiful and the service is excellent! We had dinner at the first night to try them for a possible future wedding party. started with cheese fritters that are balls of cheesy goodness! I had the Petite filet and shrimp and my fiancées had the barbeque shrimps and grits. My fillet was perfectly cooked medium and so delicate and tasteful! The shrimps were butterflied with a super light tempura like batter.can They say YUMM! The sides of carrots, green beans and mushrooms were so brilliant! Dinner was served with the creamiest cheeses I've ever eaten, along with a yeast roll, cornbread and a salad before dinner. Ken's meal was just as delicious with the same sides and grilled shrimps served with the creamy corns! You must try the Raspberry Tea!! We had the Pecan tulip that is wonderful and HUGE! It could have been divided between two people and Ken had the buttermilk walnut cake! Wonderful! We loved it so much that we went to eat there the next day! Baked Crispy Chicken south grilled Mozzarella and covered with a piece of buttermilk Walnut Pie and chocolate midnight cake! Everything was so wonderful! Great service again! We can't say enough good things here! This is our new favorite place in Ocala and we will have our wedding party here!!"

"I have been to this restaurant one time before. I decided to give it a second chance, since the first time was pretty good. I ordered the dungenous crab appetizer. It was bland and salty, no crab flavor and it was not lump crab meat, and if anything I thought that it was from a blue crab. The Caesar salad was awful and it tasted like anchovy paste. My main dish was supposed to be stuffed with crab meat and covered with a cream sauce. There was no crabmeat and instead of a basic cream sauce, when I complained that it tasted like cheese, I was told that it was a cream cheese sauce. That is not what it said on the menu. It was hideous. When I said there was no crabmeat, the waiter told me that most people don't understand that the crabmeat melts away into the sauce. Needless to say I was not happy, and I didn't stay for desert. The only thing edible on the small portion of the food I was served was the four pieces of asparagus. I was extremely disappointed and I will not go there again. I don't mind paying over a hundred dollars for a good dinner for two. But this was not worth the price, at all."

"The ambiance was beautiful. My steak was over cooked I asked for medium and received medium well for my 20 oz tbone. My server didn’t present the variety of steaks and explain (presentation). The price wasn’t overly expensive. When I told the server about my food she did apologize but the manager not chef came out to discuss the dissatisfaction nor was anything taken off the bill."

"This is a special treasure I do not think of it as ?hidden? but it certainly is one of a kind! The atmosphere, staff, food quality and service is exemplary. Coming from humble beginnings to where the restaurant is exemplifies how special it is! Theservers are all very professional and they each have their own personality to add to the ambiance. Those that we know: Albert,Billy, Connor, see the order is ?ABC? they are a great example. The Manager tonight did something very considerate as he wasaway from our table he became interested as I was expressing that I usually order dressing on the side which I was looking tosee if it was satisfactory though I did not remember to specify when I ordered. I reluctantly accepted offer to redo it and themanager insisted I do it would make him happy if I did! Wow! In today?s environments having a challenging time this was huge! Not only Is this a great place but with food service and establishment having a difficult time it is worthy to note that theirmotto ?be nice? is the representation of a group of restaurants. that follow this principle! They pass out car decals andtheir sister restaurants are exemplary as well! Glad to be a loyal customer here!"

"I had a business dinner at this restaurant, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which featured soft, dim lighting. The waiter took a few minutes to attend to us for our drink order, but the drinks arrived shortly after, while all other orders came out promptly. The menu resembles an à la carte format and the presentation of the food was excellent. I enjoyed the seafood fettuccine, which was delicious. However, the prices are on the higher side."
