"I got the ahi poke for appetizer and the Hawaiian BBQ Special. The ahi poke by itself was a little salty for my taste but I’m sure the actual meal with rice is much better. The meal was delicious. If you want to try a little bit of almost everything, the BBQ special is the way to go or the other combo plates. The food tasted authentic with great flavors. The atmosphere inside is very unique and well decorated. Makes you feel like you’re some place else! I definitely be a returning customer here!"

"The menu never disappoints. The food is yummy. Sushi is fresh and service is friendly. Other items on the menu like orange chicken and pad Thai are just as good. Highly recommend this place."

"we ordered a total of 18 half shells of ongpin for a certain Sunday this month. I thought of onpin just because of her ingenious food. I wasn't disappointed at all, the various good, great aromen. the dishes were plentiful, they did not hold back. next to the excellent food, the service was fast and punctual. the person who took care of my order, I believe her name was weng, was very friendly and happy, an example for excellent customer service. thanks also to the chef behind the scene. I can't think very enough of onpin for their great food and service. excellent! will definitely be back."

"Note: I accidentally deleted my last review, which in a nutshell was given 2 stars and maybe should have been even less. That experience wasn't the best, to sum it up. But that was then, and this is now... Service was awesome this time around! And the cashier and staff were A+! Other than the fact that they didn't have large size for the slushes, the menu was on point! Glad to have gone back after the last experience to be able to update and give 5 stars!"

"Food was good but the price adds up. Not as much of a value as you would think it is. Pictures online are misleading not what you actually getWe both had brisket sandwich. For $12.99 their should have been more meat. The pictures online show sandwiches full of meat which is not what we got. We get a big roll with not enough meat. Also I am from Texas . on a barbecue sandwich you should not be given little containers of barbecue sauce to but on them, true barbecue sauce and meat are cooked together for full flavor. Also the menus is misleading as far as toppings. My wife ordered an extra side of coleslaw. Price on menus was crossed off. If we know the cost was $4 we would have not orderered because it's to high for a side of coleslaw. The food was good but beware of pricing and get clarification before ordering. The only way I would return is if it was on them because of our experience. If not I would probably not return."

"Good and friendly service. I had pancit bihon guisado which tasted good but was heavy on the noodles and short on the other ingredients. For the amount of noodles there needed to be more of the meats and whatever else goes in that dish.I also had a halo halo and it was great. I dined in and they served the halo halo in a clear plastic cup with a long plastic spoon. They told me they didn’t have any glass to serve it in and I had to ask twice for a metal spoon. I don’t like having to ask twice. I explained to them that the plastic spoon is uncomfortably sharp feeling in my mouth. A metal spoon has smoother and less sharp edges.I don’t really have a reason to visit this restaurant again."

"Friend from out of town asked to meet an old friend there...Not my cup of tea. Over all, food wasn't great and highly over priced. To top it off, they required each person to purchase $30 minimum. If food was better and wasn't so late it would be ok. It may be fine for those who don't cook Filipino food like to eat late night, sing Karaoke /or listen to a few gays sing, make fun of you or each other as entertainment."

"I eat and drink in this neighborhood a lot. Keep your expectations low and a positive attitude, and you're certain to have a great time. People love to dress up, so expect to run into some Dolly Partons and roller blading Barbies and Ken's. Happiest happy hour often includes two for one mid-shelfs and tacos. An excellent deal tbh. If you're into Irish food (I'm not), there's a lot of that, but I recommend heading to the pub around the corner for bigger portions. The beer pong table often leads to heated exchanges, so if you can't handle Ws and Ls, please miss it."

"Tribu Grill has an entertaining environment with great, fast service and enters the next level with authentic Filipino cuisine. Conveniently located in a popular shopping district in Union Landing in Union City, CA. The great experiences convinced me to return several times, with every experience consistent. Occasionally play live bands for an additional entertainment value. While there are some excellent Filipino restaurants in the area, Tribu Grill is one that I would recommend."

"This was the worse brisket I have ever had . It was dry, overcooked and tasted like it was last weeks brisket and reheated today. The girls in the front just had a lack of awareness. In addition, I never even smelled the smoker, first bbq restaurant I went to were I couldn't spell the meat smoking, guess they had Sysco drop off precooked brisket. They charge you $20 for dry brisket with one side of brisket has the most dry meat I ever had and the other side has a big piece of fat. However, your $20 gets you too of the most dry pre-made heated up meat and one side , oh and don't forget the free Cole slaw that they forget to put in your bag. If you are looking for a place with yucky, disgusting and dry food, along with bad customer service you are home. However, if you want yummy tender juice brisket try mission bbq in greenbelt, it is worth the drive. Moreover, when you ask for a refund they tell you they don't do refunds instead you can get a free meal. Why would I get a free meal of disgusting food, I want my hard earned money. So please run run run from the worse bbq I have ever had on my 40 years on this earth."

"Halo Halo Cafe is a cozy family-run Filipino restaurant that just opened in Poway. We tried the Shanghai lumpia, pancit palabok, adobo chicken, and halo halo with ube ice cream. The service was very friendly and all the dishes were served at the perfect temperature and were full of flavor. In addition to delicious food, the restaurant also serves boba drinks, shakes, and ice cream shakes."

"Was looking for a close by Filipino breakfast place and this place popped up. It's tough rating Filipino food because nothing compares to my mom cooking : I tried the Torta Talong eggplant/scrambled eggs, it came with banana ketchup on the side. And also, Bansilog boneless bangus fish, garlic rice, 2 eggs with vinegar on n the side. Though the food tasted a little bland, it still satisfied my cravings. I would rate this place 3.5 stars."

"Let's be honest: the main draw of this restaurant is the Star Bread. The prices here are incredibly low; we got 25 pieces for just $10, and you can even buy 50 pieces for $20. If I could, I would buy their entire supply, but I'd end up with more than I could ever eat in my lifetime! Besides the Star Bread, they also offer traditional Filipino dishes that are absolutely delicious. We tried the milkfish and the braised pork served with garlic rice, and they were both very affordable and tasty. The value for the Star Bread alone makes it all worth it!"

"The food was disappointing and not what we had expected. We ordered takeout to sample the dishes, as my dad was craving crispy pata, pork sisig, and laing. I also tried the pork BBQ, which turned out to be quite dry. The pata was a bit bland, and the laing was overly creamy without any authentic flavors. I’ve been to many Filipino restaurants, and this one just doesn’t measure up. It feels like they are catering more to non-Filipino customers. It seems that either the main cook lacks experience in traditional Filipino cooking, or they are trying to accommodate a different palate. The location is great, but the ambiance is just your typical Filipino restaurant. I likely won’t be ordering from here again."

"extremly pleasant, theme was great and the food was good. They recently added an all you can eat buffet close to the weekends, but they should really have a menu what will be served on those days because they change out the menu, but you'll have to go inside and look at the food to decide. Place is beautiful for the space they have and it really feels like a filipino restaurant. Love it. Also not too expensive, but literally their business is all word of mouth. You could almost forget there's a restaurant there when you look at it in the front."
