"If you've never heard of Claim Jumper Steakhouse Bar, you're not alone. This restaurant is part of a West Coast chain that is only located in five states. The atmosphere inside evokes a Western theme, with heavy wood, antler chandeliers, and stone walls resembling a hunting lounge. We ordered a 7-ounce top sirloin, Atlantic Grilled Salmon, Steak Shrimps, Cup of Potato Soup, and visited the Salad Bar. The meal began with complimentary bread and the food was flavorful, savory, and delicious. The portion sizes were generous and the service was attentive and friendly. The prices were reasonable for the area. If you happen to be passing through San Bernardino, this is one restaurant worth stopping at and we highly recommend it."

"Oh my. A Very dated décor and not very many people there...which should have been a clue. Put off by the extremely high prices we went with fish and chips (incredibly pathetic fries) and the Lobster BLT with parmesan onion rings (which sounded intriguing but turned out to be regular onion rings with shredded parmesan sprinkled on top...rings were cold so parmesan did not melt...a disappointment) Waiter was disinterested. Never asked how our meal was. Never refilled our drinks. Looking for some upside and decided some of the lighting fixtures would be an ideal fit for the 40-year old family mountain cabin. Odd design. Park in the back by the dumpsters and walk around to the front of the restaurant (first two entrance doors had signs directing us to continue to circumnavigate the restaurant for an open door. Never been to a restaurant designed like this where the curb appeal is facing the main road b ut all parking is behind. No plans to return."

"We went there and wouldn’t even last 5 minutes, we chose to sit up the second floor for a party of 8; 5 adults and 3 teens. For some reason the idea of having two separate table for our party was an impossible thought for the lady that received us in the second floor… we offered to have separate bills and we would take care of tipping separate as well, we just wanted to have more space for the adults and the girls. This lady constantly said no and the only option she could offer was to add two chairs to a very uncomfortable table by the door because they have done it before. This lady wouldn’t even let us give options and will was very rude and had an attitude for no reason maybe a little racist) seriously you need to do better than this. Found out her name is Donna"

"Been going to the restaurant since 2008 and loved it. Things have gone downhill since the new owner, but we still go because the service and food is good. Always take family here when they are in town, but not sure if we will anymore. This past experience was not good. We had a reservation for 8, but they couldn’t seat us together and had to split up. You could tell the waitress was not happy when she found out she had to service another table not in her area since they split us. To get refills on drinks we had to go to the bar to get them or we had to try and get our waitress’ attention because she never checked in. I realize the place was busy, but a lot of places are and still have good service. Even when I went to the bar to get a refill the bartender was not happy about me asking and seemed like I put her out. It was all you can eat crab night and the place didn’t have enough crackers for the customers so you had to use your hands. The crab that normally comes ou warm was cold so was sitting. When we asked for more crab we waited over 20 minutes even though other tables were receiving their second helping of crab after we requested ours. Just a few other items… instead of telling us they had one ranch dressing left they divided that ranch to make two servings but it was a few drops for each salad. Just tell us you are out so we can get another dressing. Out of other items too which is odd when it is an all you can eat night. Stock up and stop being cheap. Ranch, bbq sauce and crackers have a long shelf life. Last, they now charge a credit card service charge. They never did before and should disclose that in advance."

"It has been years since I visited a claim jumper. This review is for the one at south coast plaza. I remember loving their 6 layer chocolate cake that they are famous for and was happy to see it's still on the menu. We had a large group of 11 and were seated outside quickly. If you are going in warmer weather definitely sit outside. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. Wanted to make sure everything was good. The portions are huge so unless you are starving better to share a plate. Got the fish tacos and I recommend the brussel sprouts side dish, so good! Also pretzel bites for a starter with a group is a good choice. Kids got lobster Mac and cheese and they loved it. Lots of good options that don't have meat."

"Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most restaurants to be overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we walked in - that's a huge plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

"Best pizza and calzone joint, hot dam, crust was perfect and house-made marinera was chunky with perfect blend of herbs spices. I don’t give praise but this place deserves it. Service was above average, my mojito for once was above average. Definitely will be back next time we are here Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Food was good, but they lacked other places by not providing table bread and butter. You can purchase cheese bread. The wait time quoted was 15 minutes. We checked back in with the host at just under 30, and we're seated seated immediately. There were tons of empty tables. Seems common now just about everywhere. Understaffed ?. Parking: It can be difficult on a busy time to find parking."

"Went there for our anniversary. It was obvious they were short staffed as many tables had not been cleared off from the previous diners. Once they cleared a table for us â it took a while for the waiter to come. He asked if weâd like to order drinks which we did. We also requested water. Drinks came after a whileâ¦no water. After a time we had to ask again for waterâ¦made our menu selection. By the time we received our dinner â minutes had passed Ordered a ½ rack of ribs. They were very dry â and tasted like left-overs that were reheated. Had to request a side of sauce to help eat it. Overall, with the long wait for service and disappointing ribs I would give our visit a"

"At breakfast we ordered grits with spinach and shrimp sausage. Admittedly we were being gastronomically daring but hey it was a long weekend holiday and it was the Lowe's on Miami Beach where we were dining. The first bite was inviting. After that it became what it was a pedestrian dish. the only thing worse? A pedestrian meal of mushy grits and a (yes only one weird sausage made of shrimp and spinach cost around $30 bucks. The tab for two plates of this mush plus two Mimosas? Around $80 bucks including tip (automatically added at near 20% and tax. Gasp! Punished for our extravagance. The good part of the meal? A cheerful server. The other good item? We never have to go there again!"

"Cozy and romantic, but lively and a great place to hang out. The food was wonderful from the nuanced crab dip to the perfectly cooked sea bass and chocolatey lava cake and Smith Island cake. Service was friendly and on top of everything. I would definitely come back here. Parking: One smallish parking lot on site, but there were signs for additional parking. Kid-friendliness: Varied kid's menu with good portion sizes. Service: Dine in"

"My wife and I went to the restaurant based on a Happy Hour promotion we saw. After we were seated in one of the 20 empty tables, we were told that if we want any of the Happy Hour specials we would have to go and sit at the bar. Different drink and dinner prices all part of their Happy Hour, but it was only offered to you if you got up and moved to another part of the restaurant. I repeat, the restaurant was virtually empty! I was not going to be made to endure a walk of shame and feel to be made little for asking for the Happy Hour promotion and so we stayed where were sat, paid way too much and left. I don 't like to be tricked and put in that position, so I will certainly not go back to this restaurant."

"Looking for a nice place to have brunch, we stumbled upon this place. As soon as we entered, the sight of Memorabilia of famous people all over the walls immediately grabbed our attention. We were greeted by the amazing staff, who seated us very quickly. Our waiter Nikki, was very friendly, and made sure to check on us multiple times, to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was fantastic and satisfying. While eating, we were greeted by restaurant owner Bush , who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He surprised my niece and nephew with free cookies to enjoy, and had all the waiters sing Happy B-day to my Fiancee. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I will definitely visit again."

"This restaurant had more vegan options than we could even handle! My partner (who is vegan) got the tofu basket and they put non-vegan sauce on the side. When he told them he was vegan, they immediately brought him the vegan version, labelled, and offered to bring him a new side of onion rings cooked in a separate fryer. They were really accommodating and made us feel very welcome! They also use really fresh, light ingredients. Great place and we will surely be back!"

"Everything was very good. Our only complaint is they charge a fee to use your credit card. We know lots of restaurants are doing this now but it’s a bad business decision and should be their cost of doing business. You feel ripped off since restaurant prices are high already and constantly going up. We will think twice of whether we want to go there again or to a comparable restaurant that doesn’t add an extra fee. Shame on them!"

"When we first looked at the menu, we thought the prices were quite high, but I was willing to overlook that if the food was good. However, when the meals arrived, I knew I would never eat here again. The beer was warm, the drinks were watery and unpleasant, and the chicken wings were the worst I've ever had—old, small, and tough. My friend ordered a churrasco, which was ridiculously small, while my sea bass was disappointing—lackluster in flavor and a tiny portion accompanied by overcooked, paper-thin asparagus. My wife chose a shrimp wrap that was bland and runny. Even the salads were subpar. This restaurant looked inviting from the road, and we made the mistake of trying it out. I definitely do not recommend it; it was a terrible experience."

"Visiting the area and got dinner and drinks at Bridge Bar. Beautiful outside patio with the free entertainment of water ski teams practice so cool! We had the Mac and cheese bites for an app very good! I had the patty melt on Texas toast with thebuffalo chips. Would visit again. I also recommend the Summer Hummer in a slushy form. Our waitress was very kind attentive.Thank you! EDIT: Came back again for night two. Seems like it?s the best option in the area and I was pleased with our firstexperience. I once again had a Summer Hummer slushee. My boyfriend had the pina colada. So relaxing sitting out on the patio andwatching the water ski practice and boats."
