"I had previously had Indian food and I was disappointed. My sister was recommended to come here and we tried it. I came all the way from Pontiac to try them and it was delicious!! We had the butter chicken, butter lamb, and chicken tikka masala with some cheese naan. The cheese naan was our favorite we had to order more! Thank you for the amazing food and service! Food: 5"

"Shocked that I didnt 5 star them when I first tried a few months ago. Tandoori Chicken is great, mildly spiced and not boring, made a good road trip lunch. Calamari Pakoras were unusual and very satisfying. Kabuli Naan was also good a bit decadent, sweet flatbread as was the Nimbo Pani, which was lemonade plus a bit of proprietary flavouring. Big kudos for Chicken Salad, which is a nice fresh greens salad with a packet of tandoori chicken bites you mix in to keep from getting bored. I loved it all, can heartily recommend and will return myself."

"For appetizers, I tried the veg Masala samosa which came with a lovely sauce and greens with dressing. The samosas had a flakey crust and delicious spice mixture, and the dipping sauces were very tasty. They were even better than my previous favorite samosas from The Bombay Club in Washington DC. Our entrees were kofta-a-sahib and mixed vegetable Rizala with basmati rice and garlic naan. Both dishes had deep flavors and a great spice combination. I especially liked how the Rizala incorporated local vegetables, making it unique. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the basmati rice was perfectly fluffy. The garlic naan was delicious, with a generous amount of garlic. Overall, the meal was delicious and the experience was great. I will definitely be returning to try more entrees and samosas. Anant offers plenty of vegetarian and vegan options for both appetizers and entrees, and there is ample parking in the shopping center lot."

"This restaurant has an amazing staff. They are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of speaking to. As far as the food it is mostly subpar. I loved the vegetable pakoras but the love of the food stopped with that. My wife had the malai Kofta and saag paneer, I had the chicken Tikka masala and the butter chicken. The gravy for each dish tasted very similar and verrrry sweet which is unlike most Indian cuisine. The sweetness of each dish took away from the tastiness factor that I usually look forward to with a variety of dishes. I wouldn't say its not worth going to I just will not be returning. Thank you to the staff for making the experience a wonderful one but I would definitely go on to say tweak your recipes."

"My wife and I wanted to try this spot as I had read good things. It did not disappoint. The tandoori shrimp were cooked perfectly. The spices were dazzling yet not too hot. The mint/yogurt sauce added to the flavor while cooling things down a bit.We followed it up with the butter chicken and garlic naan. The naan was cut into quarters and served in a basket; a nice touch. It was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crispness/chewiness. The butter chicken was very rich but quite delicious. All of this paired perfectly with a Taj Mahal beer (light and dry.)Our service was great: attentive without being cumbersome. Also of note, our server was dressed impeccably (a nice change from most service these days.)We will definitely be back, as my wife says it's the best Indian food she's ever had.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options throughout the menu and easily identified.Parking: Tons of parking on most days or nights."

"I had been sent off by a few people because I LOVE prime rib. I had just heard great things about the restaurant. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing for us. We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there, the hostess didn't confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. She was our waitress and was pretty good. The drinks were well made but small for the price. We ordered the prime rib. I got the girls cut and my husband got the kings cut which is about a $ 20 difference in price. When they came out, they were exactly the smaller portion I ordered in length and thickness. We ordered medium rarity (which it came out like that), but it had no flavor and was extremely tough. If there's one thing I love almost as much as prime rib, it's ranch dressing. It was chunky and tasted terrible. (and no, it wasn't blue cheese) To get our USD 100 bill at the end of our meal, we were both utterly disappointed with the entire meal. The quality did not reflect the cost."

"My family and I were in downtown Bethesda and stumbled upon this place and decided to go for dinner. We had an absolutely lovely experience. We went around 6ish on a Friday and were immediately seated. The service was above and beyond our server was so attentive and kind. We loved all of the dishes that we got! We tried the garlic naan (of course), korma chicken, chicken tikka masala, the appetizer sampler (which I highly recommend it has beef kabob, samosas, and chicken and all were perfect samplers), and goat curry of some kind. I also tried the mango lassi and I loved it. Would definitely return for solid Indian food in the downtown Bethesda area!"

"This is our new favorite local BYOB spot. We've been twice now. The staff is very warm and friendly and the food is superb. If you like well crafted food and are willing to pay for very interesting tasting, beautifully plated food then this is a great place to go. We've been twice and both times they have been great with dietary restrictions as well. It's charming, casual enough to walk in (if you can get in!) but also a great place to take visiting friends and relatives or for a special night out or date. The Wayne area needed a place like this. We'll keep going back for sure."

"I have ordered food from here (to go) before and I really enjoyed it. However, this time the kadai paneer was very disappointing. The gravy was tasting like tomato paste, no flavors and the peppers weren’t cooked well. The other two dishes were well done. We had dal tadka and gobhi pakora. Hats off to the chef for an amazing work. The gobhi pakoras (fritters) were crunchy and delicious. They tasted great even after 40 minutes of pick up.Pros:Large food portion (value for money)Friendly serviceFlexibility to include vegan options (they replaced ghee with oil in the dal)Cons:Inconsistent taste/preparation"

"Dining at Flavors was a delightful experience, filled with the rich aromas of India and incredibly delicious dishes, comparable to many restaurants in the USA. I enjoyed samosas, naan, and biryani for the main course, and indulged in gulab jamun and gajar ka halwa for dessert—both were delicious! I have visited numerous Indian restaurants, both in the US and India, but the menu here is impressively diverse, featuring a wide array of Indian cuisine. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Indian food. I look forward to visiting again soon!"

"Hema's used to be our favorite restaurant on Devon. We ordered takeout from them all throughout the pandemic and it was a real life saver. Sadly though, the quality has declined. Not sure if it's new owners or what. Our last order was kind of disappointing, it took two hours to deliver and was cold on arrival. Additionally, we were missing the garlic naan which is usually a highlight of the meal. I tried calling to ask for the naan to be taken off the bill, but the person answering the phone asked me to hold and hung up on me. It seems like the recipes have changed as well, this order had a lot more oil pooling on the top and seemed less fresh than previous orders. Honestly y'all, I love Indian food but there's so much good competition I'm just going to try all other other ones until I find my new favorite and go with them. Some solid contenders out there and life's too short to spend good cash on a disappointing experience."

"The food was excellent. The service was average. The appetizers should have come out first, but they came with our meals, so we felt rushed to eat while everything was still warm. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the server brought it out from the back already open, which is not appropriate wine presentation etiquette when buying a bottle you’re supposed to open the bottle at the table; it’s a common courtesy and simple wine presentation practice. Aside from that, everything was pleasant and satisfying"

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"AVERAGE START BUT BANG AT THE END! STAFF: Courteous with one very small detail. Waitress tried to hide the obvious fact that the onion fries were burnt. The correct protocol should had been, I'll change them for you. Not say I don't think they are overcooked. Busboy was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. FOOD: The fried appetizers needed a bit of quality control. One of the baked thin-hard breads was so salty we had to leave it for fear of high blood pressure. See onion fries above The cheese fritters where dry, very dry. It can be there unique type of cheese? That was a first for me. In other Indian restaurants this plate is one where the cheese is moist but holds the texture and flavors added balanced with natural cheese flavors. This particular dish was below par. It seemed or overcooked or reheated which is why the cheese was dry. Vegetable Samosas also dry, we cut one in half and that's all she wrote. It was put in a doggie bag. NOW THE OSCAR GOES TO!: Chicken Thali and Shrimp Biryani! Everything, the chicken and sides made sense. PLUS, boy, those sides were more than amazing. The Shrimp could have been cooked a tad less because it was almost getting to the chewy point but it didn't. The Shrimp was delicious and the rice made the perfect partner. BATHROOMS: Clean and very decent. PARKING: Tons of free parking PRICES: Extremely fair. SUMMARY: If it wasn't for those little details this restaurant would have definitely been awarded star of the decade. But, all in all this is a must go to place for great food, semi romantic moment or for a business meeting. RETURN FACTOR: 100% RECOMMEND A FRIEND FACTOR: 100"
