"When our order was taken, I gave the server a coupon for a free appetizer, which was no problem. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. I was asked if I wanted another diet Coke, which I accepted. As we finished our entrees and the plates were cleared, our waters were refilled and I was asked again if I wanted another diet Coke, which I did.
When the bills arrived, I noticed that the price of the appetizer was added to my bill instead of being subtracted. Meanwhile, my friend across the table had the price of the appetizer removed from his bill. I also saw that I had been charged $2.99 three times for the diet Coke refills. The server then informed me that there were no free refills on soft drinks, which would have been nice to know beforehand. In an effort to maintain good customer relations, one of the charges for the diet Coke was removed from my bill.
Overall, the food was great but the service was lacking in competence."
